Well, getting colleges to use your currency instead of fiat.
While we would love to have colleges and universities accepting our coin, we believe that if enough students start using it and using the app, it will still be a very successful project. Colleges and universities are just a bonus that makes spending the CampusCoin much easier. Also if enough students are using transacting with CampusCoin, the colleges will have no choice but at least consider using it as well as it will be quite beneficial to them for multiple reasons. |

Hmmmm.. I don't see why any of the existing crypto-currencies can't be used? Why just create ANOTHER crypto, while there are already DOZENS of other, much better (in terms of exposure) coins/crypto's out there? It seems some coins are just being created just because one can...
I got that question a lot from people who are new in crypto. I think it's a very good question. Usually I answer that I think it's because of three elements. 1. To have better control 2. To fund development and marketing with premine 3. To determine total supply. Maybe campuscoindev can answer this question with his point of view. Edgar basically hit the nail on the head. All of those 3 reasons, along with a coin dedicated solely to college students. We didn't want to have students invest in a different coin to then have it drop in value greatly with a reason completely unrelated to the students themselves. |

Cryptopia is now just below 0.8BTC. 400k dots each at 190 sats.
Although it is cheap now in terms of BTC to be listed at Cryptopia, but it is still god damn expensive ... I think it is not really necessary to go listed at Cryptopia... Would agree that cryptopia is expensive. And don't think it's worth for new coins. Might try Yobit. If new exchange is needed. I think a community effort for Cryptopia is needed. Yobit really isn't the best exchanger. IMO, Cryptopia would be much better. Look at the value rising for Campus coin. If this goes to Cryptopia, the value could go much higher. I agree with this, we are not a huge fan of Yobit, we think Cryptopia is better for the growth/exposure of the coin. |

The circulating supply right now is only 72 million coins according to CMC. I am curious to know the monthly inflation rate for this coin. I hope the developer can answer this. How much will the circulating supply grow per month on estimation? We thought 2 billion was a good supply as we want CampusCoin to be in as many college kids hands as possible. The circulating supply should grow by 64.8 million per month (1500 per minute * 60 * 24 * 30) until it halves after block 600,000 (just under 14 months). Wow okay. Makes sense. I was hoping the coin supply growth would be lower per month lol. So basically, the coin supply will almost double in 30 days? Yes, mining began just over a month ago, so it makes sense it will double in month 2. |

Dev has plans to add masternodes in this currency in the future?
We have been considering masternodes as there has been a lot of interest for them but at this time we believe other portions of the coin are more important. Update: We are in the middle of accepting donations for applications to Cryptopia, Livecoin, and Bittrex. The progress can be seen here.Masternodes would be a great idea for this coin. How serious are you guys about masternodes? Still deciding when/how we want to implement masternodes. Update: Good news for everyone. Barring any unexpected setbacks, the CampusCoin team plans to release the beta version of our mobile app by early September. The beta version of our app will not include a direct exchange platform for CMPCO, as that would be nearly useless until CMPCO is more widely accepted. Rather, the app will focus on strengthening and expanding the CMPCO community by creating a platform where current campus ambassadors can connect with new investors and vice versa via a ‘social media’ like app. The app will also serve as a mobile version of our site as well as a mobile version of our announcement page. We plan on selecting a few members of our slack channel to be initial testers of the app, and will compensate for the testing when the time comes (obviously testing will be on a volunteer basis).
