By the same logic, why other people who also sit on a lot of coins and do nothing, why dont they donate to the devs?
162  Economy / Economics / Re: Exchange rate data on: June 17, 2014, 05:51:00 AM
No spike as in April/May means no correction according to blockchain chart. Not my prediction, just analyzing what I think is an easier to visualize graph.

166  Other / Off-topic / Re: Star Trek Continues on: June 17, 2014, 05:41:42 AM
I was really getting tired of all the Star Trek Kickstarters and fan shows asking for money to fund their less-then-stellar projects, but this is something amazing.
167  Other / Off-topic / Re: KICKSTARTER: Bitcoin: The End of Money As We Know It on: June 17, 2014, 05:37:38 AM
Kickstarter's payments work entirely on the premise that they can autocharge upon hitting the goal but Bitcoin can't do automatic charges, transactions are initiated on the payer side and not the payee side.
168  Other / Off-topic / Re: Video: Hackers - the Internet's immune system on: June 17, 2014, 05:28:36 AM
The reason why practically immune against malware was because they only ever ran program at a time, and the OS was read-only - rebooting pretty much reset the machine to factory state. So just hit restart.

170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Faster loading on: June 17, 2014, 04:56:00 AM
Users don't do it because you need to download the whole blockchain, which as you noted is a real pain. Also, if you don't keep the computer running 24/7, it ends up damaging the network health.
171  Economy / Economics / Re: Economics Research Paper on: June 17, 2014, 04:54:17 AM
Do Austerity. It's a hot topic these days, lots of evidence saying it's a bad way to kickstart the economy, but for some reason it's happening anyway.

Bitcoin was hovering around $600 on Monday, according to CoinDesk.com, which tracks prices on exchanges, down from $653 on Wednesday.
The decline follows reports that a group is now in a position to conduct a so-called “51 percent attack” on the cryptocurrency, a situation in which it could potentially interfere with transactions or even spend bitcoins twice.
174  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Bonds on: June 16, 2014, 11:15:12 AM
I've been keeping an eye on this development since the very beginning. I think the cryptocurrency Bonds scene is developing at mindboggling speed, so you might not have to wait too long for.
175  Economy / Economics / Re: Cold War Era Alternative Currency Dossier: "Societal Cataclysm" on: June 16, 2014, 11:11:30 AM
I have only skimmed it myself and as a theoretical concept it seems sound , I agree that in the for exchange of goods and services I am sure the currency will immediatly play a major role though.
176  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Pool Double-Spend Solution on: June 16, 2014, 11:08:17 AM
good idea. It is not possible to determine where a block came from. The statistics currently only work because pool operators allow their blocks to be easily identified as "mined by xyz", they could just as well begin mining anonymous blocks.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New feature in the FeathercoinWallet - QR Importfunction on: June 16, 2014, 11:05:11 AM
In my interpretation the basic service that is and always will be free is your FeathercoinWallet account, your FeathercoinWallet wallet, your hosted of the API and those services are provided free of charge plus QR Importfunction.
