161  Economy / Service Discussion / Looking for services with withdrawable welcome / depo / ref bonuses on: February 17, 2022, 04:52:56 PM
As it is stated in thread subject, I am looking for services that have withdrawable welcome, deposit or refferal bonus (no problem if it have freeze period or requires to complete any free task). Most likely it would be an exchange,  a wallet or (most likely) a staking service. Service should be trustworthy since it would probably be centralized.
I already know a couple of such services and it is possible to earn up to $50 from a single registration.

Would really appreciate if anyone shares some links with me. If I manage to find more of them I'll obviously share the list.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to claim BTC forks from old Electrum wallet? on: February 09, 2022, 08:34:45 AM
What is the type of your wallet? Is it a SegWit wallet? Not sure about ElectronCash but Coinomi should work regardless of the wallet's type.

Coinomi doesn't support Electrum's seed, but you can try to sweep the private keys[1] after exporting them[2]. If the format is not recognized, try to not include the prefix (p2wsh).

Everything went smoothly with sweeping.
Thanks!
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / How to claim BTC forks from old Electrum wallet? on: February 09, 2022, 07:10:11 AM
I'm trying to get my forks via 12-word seed or dat file.

The problem is that my seed phrase is not accepted by any wallet I've tried. Coinomi is not accepting Electrum keys at all. Tried desktop wallets listed on bch.info and it still didn't work. Electron Cash wallet even showed that my seed is too old.

I would appreciate if someone advice a wallet that will work with old Electrum seeds.
164  Economy / Service Discussion / Looking for interesting media resources (any topic) on: January 04, 2022, 03:49:43 PM
Hello there!

I'm looking for any exceptional media resources. Any topic is highly appreciated. The only requirement is that it should contain a decent amount of unique information that is interesting to read. Not just a topic that was million times reweighted all over the internet.
I'm thinking about creating a telegram channel on my local language and checking if it is easy to find an interesting topic and content for translation.

So please, just share some links to what you read at your spare time. Everything is appreciated.
165  Economy / Services / Re: [1xBit.com] - Sports - Signature Campaign [OPEN] on: December 15, 2021, 12:21:33 PM
Promoting a service with long history of scam accusations is a straight way to get negative trust on your acc.
It is up to everyone but consider is before applying for this campaign.
166  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any secure crypto / stablecoin interest service? on: October 22, 2021, 09:02:41 AM
Try kucoin  ... at the moment you can lend USDT at 40% APY (0.11% daily) and  BTC around 3% APY (0.008% daily).

Thanks a lot! Such a high interest seems a bit suspicious but I will keep a close eye on them.
The exchange is legit and lending seems to be safe, but I also can't find a reason for people to borrow on such rates. I guess I'd probably start from small amounts.

Actually, only DarkStar and Shasan still give loan services.
Sure, but it doesn't seem like they are running out of liquidity so competing with them would be time devouring anyway.

167  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any secure crypto / stablecoin interest service? on: October 21, 2021, 02:58:02 PM
Instead of going with centralized platform, why don’t you start your own lending business here on the forum? That would generate you good return if you can manage the risk perfectly with straight forward rules. In case you are interested, learn about the basic and possible risk in lending here. In my opinion, it's safe if you can run.

Seems like it would be just another pain in the ass. I won't be able to compete for customers with reputable forum members, the process it time devouring, profit is doubtful and the inly thing that is 100% guaranteed is the insane amount of scammers that try to get a non-collateral loan, scam you with a fake token or whatever.
For the time being I just want to get a small but steady interest with at least some guarantees that service I'm gonna use would keep working for a long time, won't be hacked, and its team would not make an exit scam.

168  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any secure crypto / stablecoin interest service? on: October 21, 2021, 12:23:27 PM
One thing I know about this is that you will need to use centralized site like exchanges. If you are comfortable with using cetrlaized sites like binance, then you can use binance, it has a savings option you can stake your coins and earn.

Yup, I'm absolutely comfortable with using exchanges and I'm still holding my coins on Binance. But as I see, they have changed their rates and now it is around 1% for stablecoins so now it is not even worth sending coins there.
169  Economy / Service Discussion / Any secure crypto / stablecoin interest service? on: October 21, 2021, 12:00:53 PM
Hey there!

Anyone knows any decent service that provides interest on BTC or stablecoins? Safety should go first, no matter what is the amount of interest (but it should be over binance tiny rates).

For now I have only found Coinrabbit that offers juicy 8% on USDT but I have no idea if it is actually safe. They have no KYC so it feels like their business is not regulated and they may get shut down by some financial regulator.

Would highly appreciate of anyone shares any service and give a feedback to it.
170  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you trust the co-vid19 vaccine ? on: October 19, 2021, 03:35:28 PM

In Taiwan now more died from the Covid-19 vaccine then from Covid-19 itself. Does it get crazier?
https://medicaltrend.org/2021/10/10/taiwan-death-from-covid-19-vaccination-exceeds-death-from-covid-19/

Numbers from this article seem pretty questionable. Especially the ones that show that Taiwan’s self-produced vaccine is the safest one.
It seems to be an another attempt to speculate on covid topic.
171  Economy / Economics / Re: Steam bans blockchain games on: October 19, 2021, 03:10:36 PM

What technology?
Seriously what technology?

I see a lot of poeple defending blockchain games, can any of you point where this blockchain technology is used in the games?
Of course, it's not video rendering, it's not the engine, it's not the gameplay, it's.....nothing!
Every single thing of those blockchain games could be done with the same old database.

First of all, I'm also pretty skeptical regarding blockchain games and I have no doubts Steam made a good move. However, as a lifelong nerd I still have a point to share.

Blockchain might be used to store characters in MMORPG. Sometimes servers are getting shut down and players loose their characters and progress that worth a lot of money and time. It turns that people are playing the game and character that literally does not belong to them. Imo, blockchain can help to fix that and I guess there might be some other ways of using it.

Unfortunately, such feature requires a decent game and economic outcome is not clear while blockchain devs are mainly attempting only to sell worthless pixels and create a kind of MLM scheme.

Blockchain still may be used in games. However, it should be a blockchain that improves a game and not a game that is made for the only purpose of shilling a token. So hopefully, we may still see a decent game with blockchain features.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB staking. Validator in Jail status on: April 24, 2021, 09:28:37 AM
Thanks! It's not that bad as it sounds.
It seems I should be able to get my rewards after jail period is over. So there is no point in redelegating my funds if they would work stable in the future.

173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BNB staking. Validator in Jail status on: April 24, 2021, 07:41:57 AM
Hey there!

I have staked my BNB not long ago and used Ankr_BSC_validator_1 as a delegator. Today when I logged in, I found that this validator now have In Jail status.

I could not find an explanation of it but it definitely sounds like there should be an interesting story behind this status. Hope, someone can clarify it.

And the most important: does it mean that delegator is locked forever (sounds like it should be really "locked" for some time) and I only have to re-delegate it? Seems like I'd have to wait until funds are re-delegated now Sad

174  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Binance Liquid Swap on: April 14, 2021, 04:02:16 PM
Just one more simple question.

Anyone tried to hold a large amounts of coins on Binance for a long time ?

Thinking about moving my stash there so it could earn something while holding. Is there any requirements for any extra KYC or any other confirmations for large amounts?
My main concern is about getting my funds might be locked for some reason.
175  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Binance Liquid Swap on: April 14, 2021, 01:32:53 PM

So as I understand, the biggest risk is that I may end up with a pairing coin while my initial coin is growing, right?
Yes, so you "lose" some of your potential profits.

Well, at least it also takes half losses if BNB goes down.

Anyway, thanks a lot Smiley
176  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Binance Liquid Swap on: April 14, 2021, 11:25:38 AM
Have you heard about Uniswap ou Sushiswap? Binance Liquid Swap is basically the same thing but centralized (and thus, cheaper for the traders).

The difference between their liquid swap and staking is that on the first you need to add two tokens to become a market maker. So, for example, you add $200 of BNB and $200 of BUSD (always 50% of each coin) and people trade between them. If any of the coins fall/rise, you can lose (or profit less) because of impernanent loss (check youtube for a explanation on that).

Basically:

Staking = add BNB and you'll always leave with more BNB.
Liquid swap = add 1 BNB and 560 BUSD (example) and you may leave with 0.5 BNB and 800 BUSD or 1.5 BNB and 300 BUSD (impermanent loss).

There is an option to send only one coin but in that case I would have to pay a small txfee (still duno if I have to pay it again to get my funds back). Am I risking to get back a pairing coin instead of BNB? Like BUSD in your example.

So as I understand, the biggest risk is that I may end up with a pairing coin while my initial coin is growing, right?

Is there any freeze period for withdrawals and how often they distribute rewards?

It feels like Binance should have a detailed guide about it but I couldn't find it.

177  Economy / Service Discussion / Binance Liquid Swap on: April 13, 2021, 09:04:22 PM
Hey guys!

I believe someone has already invested some coins to Binance Liquid Swap. Can you please share your experience? Planning to invest some of my BNB there.

I have already googled for some articles about it and all of them are like "just throw your coins there and,  txfee if you invest only one coin and receive your rewards". Is it really so easy? The only thing that concerns me is that Binance Liquid Swap right now offers 30.4%+11.85% revenue which is much over 15-20% offered for staking. Is there any risk with Binance Liquid Swap? And that is the min/max investing period for it?

Any information is appreciated.
178  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for BTC fork claim service on: April 13, 2021, 02:37:25 PM
Hey there!

I remember that I've seen a service that could claim all my BTC forks.

can anyone share a link to such service? Could be nice if some exchange is providing such services so I could save on fees.

Thanks in advance Smiley

In order for that to work, you'd have to export the private key for all addresses that are currently funded and import them into the exchange (or give them your seed phrase)... That would be the only way an exchange could ever provide such a service. Same goes for any other service that would help you claim those forks automatically: the only way they can provide this service is if you give them access to your private key(s) or seed phrase. Theoretically, they could also work with an address or an xpub, but then you'd have to sign a bunch of transactions manually, which might turn out to be even harder than just claiming the forks yourself straight away.

The main question would be why you don't claim those forked coins yourself? I mean, i'd never give access to my private keys to anybody else... Especially not to claim a handfull of crapcoins that have allmost no value. Just make sure you move all your BTC to a new address before you attempt claiming forks, then work your way from the most stable and valuable forks to the least stable coins... That way, there isn't that much that can happen... Just make sure your BTC is safe, that's the important part.

I once wrote a script to help you determine if you had funds on forked chains and what their value might have been... But it's not maintained and it probably no longer works unless somebody is willing to invest some time in it:
https://github.com/mocacinno/mocacinnoforkchecker

I believe that some years ago i've seen a link to some centralized service that offered to claim all btc forks at once and it seemed more or less legit.

I'm just checking if there a chance to claim them at once to a single exchange account and exchange all forks to another coin. The problem is that I not a BTC billioneare and these forks probably aint worth shit so most likely I would just spend all claimed coins for fees.
Ofc I am going to empty my wallet before using my keys in centralized service. So if it exists, my transactions should be safe.

Thanks for a link btw, gonna try it Smiley
