161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash? on: November 25, 2017, 10:00:46 AM
I like how everyone has balls when the smoke clears, but during the pump, the forums go silent, Reddit goes silent, now everyone has balls all of the sudden to express their opinions. Yeah. Exactly. BTC

Everyone is busy trading on the exchanges at this time or watching the pump closely to see the crazy action!
162  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which One Is Good Excchanger to Trade Bitcoin on: November 25, 2017, 08:15:39 AM
Pretty hard to use Poloniex. They want your social security. On top of that they want you to take a picture of yourself with a web cam. If you don't have a webcam and try and use your phone you'll realize your application is already pending even though you were never finished.
163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Going Mainstream: Really Critical for Bitcoin? on: November 24, 2017, 09:13:57 AM
It could be a good thing, but I think it needs time. If Bitcoin is rushed into the mainstream world without being fully developed people will be conned into using BCH instead. When a good project is rushed to deliver that is when mistakes are made.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $8000+ is here. This rise has left behind lots of wounded... on: November 21, 2017, 07:52:32 AM
Maybe it is a bit soon for this, but possibly $100,000 for 2019.  Shocked Shocked Shocked

I got somewhat burned riding the BCH pump, but I still am very happy with the BTC that I have. No need to sell. My goal is to achieve 20 bitcoins so that I will be a millionaire when it reaches $50,000. (That is of course if that happens). Wish me luck on my journey.  Grin

I'm psyched about the lightning network with BTC and LTC. I have LTC too and I think it will be used in the future. We shall see.
165  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin broke 8000 USD. how far it will go? on: November 20, 2017, 12:42:00 AM
Today bitcoin price reaches above 8000

This is a new high, what do we expect to reach next? 9,000 or 10,000?

Is there be another correction bitcoin price correction at 9,000 or 10,000

Altcoins are going down again. No much growth from there

Well, according to math, we need to reach 9,000 before we can reach 10,000.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I think it may reach 10,000 before the end of the year, but we'll see. A lot of people are saying there may be a correction. This would not surprise me. Honestly a lot of the pricing in the crypto world baffles me. It is hard to put a dollar valuation on something that isn't traditionally evaluated. It is a whole different category of an asset than anything people have looked at before.

A lot of hype has gone into Bitcoin this year. It could end up crashing back down to like $800 at some point (I don't think this will happen, but it is possible). Is a huge percentage increase like this sustainable? Only time will tell and I doubt most people have a good understanding of what the future entails.
166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Bitcoin. Warning on: November 20, 2017, 12:09:50 AM
I get that people have their own opinion about BCH and I respect that, but when I saw the post "Future of Bitcoin. Warning" and looked at the account and saw it was a newbie account with only 1 post. I immediately thought "I wonder if this is someone who wants to promote BCH". Sure enough I scrolled down and saw it.

It is kind of weird how these accounts keep popping up and part of me wonders if they are real people with legitimate concerns or if they are accounts made as a smear campaign against bitcoin and scare people into buying bcash. The later seems much more likely.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Vote on Poloniex trustworthyness on: November 19, 2017, 11:51:52 PM
This poll may affect my decision on whether to use Poloniex. Poloniex has a feature similar to Bitfinex that I like. However, Bitfinex has closed its doors to US participants. As a result, Poloniex is the only other option I have for what I want to do. If you want you can give feedback for why you voted what you did.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Of what VALUE do Traders Bring to Bitcoin?? I would Argue NONE NADA on: November 15, 2017, 07:02:22 AM
I think Satoshi's vision probably didn't include huge mines gathering bitcoin. I don't think he thought there would be a whole crypto currency spaz with a bunch of different coins. He probably thought bitcoin would be the only one and that it would be fast and people all over the world would mine bitcoin with their devices. I could be wrong though. I haven't gone through all of his posts on this forum. Most of it I don't even understand.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What are the pros and cons vs. BTC and BCH? on: November 15, 2017, 06:12:57 AM
What makes BTC better than BCH? What makes BCH better than BTC? Obviously I'm sure there will be very strong opinions to this, but let's see what information is out there rather than the explanation "shitcoin". I'd like a little bit better than that. Give some factual information that can back up your reasoning.

170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Losing faith in BTC... on: November 12, 2017, 08:46:00 PM
Who else is losing faith in BTC? I use to believe that BTC would change the world. What I just witnessed last night with BCH attempting to take over just shook my entire belief in BTC and crypto currency in general. It feels pretty obvious to me that BTC is the best thing ever and BCH is built upon greed, but I'm not entirely confident that either will win in the end anymore.

The huge boost in BCH overnight makes me wonder if anything in the crypto world is legit. Seems like everything is based upon greed. All the figure heads that are suppose to support BTC started being like "oh yeah, BCH is the new bitcoin now guys". John Mccafee (yup, the guy who said he'd eat his own dick on TV if BTC doesn't make it to $500,000 by 2020) is all like BCH is the solution blah blah blah. I figured okay, people are getting paid off to say stuff like this, he's a miner after all so he's looking for money. But then I started reading the core developer's tweets. They either don't talk about BCH, but even some of them were talking about BCH taking over.

I get that pump and dumps are going to happen, but when developers are switching to BCH this means either two things. One, BCH will become the new BTC. Two, developers are greedy and care about making money than BTC.

Another part of me wonders whether this was a pump and dump or not. Perhaps BCH really is better now.

Decentralization, limited supply, medium of exchange, store of value. These words are thrown around a lot when describing BTC, but it just seems to me that people really care only about money. When the developers are like this, that is means for worry. This means people will make changes to BTC strictly for hype to make money, even if it actually hurts the security of the coin.

The only figure head in the crypto world that I feel is trustworthy is the creator of LTC. My reasons are this:
1) He hasn't pumped the crap out of Litecoin with false propaganda
2) He was awkward on TV when talking about Litecoin
3) Intuitively seems more genuine

Last night has left me depressed all day today. I'm very bothered by this. I feel like if I go with BCH I lose. If I go with BTC I lose. I feel like BTC is the good guy and BCH is the evil guy. However, BCH might win in the end. I see possible +EV with BCH though. So last night I caved guys. I caved. I feel sad but I did. I bought BCH which I thought I would never do (I didn't sell most of my BTC, It is like a hedge I suppose). Just seems like the +EV thing to do. Couldn't figure out if it was a pump/dump or a takeover so went with my limited knowledge.

If BCH makes it to $3,000ish I will dump some of my BCH for BTC again.

I'm distraught guys and not in a good way either. I kind of feel like I might be getting played, but I might be making the right decision.
171  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is falling, But don't worry! on: November 12, 2017, 05:32:54 AM
I'm not as worried about BTC dropping as I am about BCH taking over. If BCH takes over then the world of crypto as we know it is going to hell.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'M GETTING REALLY ANGRY! WTF is happening with this BTC/BCH crap! on: November 12, 2017, 04:57:45 AM
Advice for a newb? Look at how Bitcoin Cash has always worked in the past. days of massive pumps and massive volume, huge price increases and everyone is so happy, the "NEW" "AMAZING" Bitcoin will sweep away the competition... Then the pumping stops. People run out of money. People start to sell off because they had been to lazy to bother colllecting their Bitcoin Cash and then there is a new all time low yet again. It's already done this at least twice from what I remember.

Not like this though. This pump is HUGE! Haven't seen anything this big in the crypto world yet. I'm riding the BCH pump to $1993. Then I shall scoop a profit. I actually expect it to go much higher than this, but I'm fairly cautious with my money.
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but... on: November 12, 2017, 04:41:10 AM
Okay, so I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but this whole situation with B2X and BCH seems sketchy to me and possibly orchestrated.

First off, we have the B2X authority figure that's like, "oh, I feel badly about this coin dividing the community. Blah blah blah. Even though we've been working on this for a long time we aren't going to do the fork after all do to my ideological belief in BTC. I don't care about making more money.  Roll Eyes"

So a bunch of people that bought BTC to get the forked coin are going to be pissed and look for an alternative. At this time, people start pumping BCH price like crazy.

To top it off, you have B2X developers saying "oh yeah, we are doing the coin after all." This does two things. One, it makes people have uncertainty with wish-washy developers that can't make up their mind. Secondly, it divides bitcoin some more. Some people may sell their bitcoin to buy more B2X. This allows BCH an easier chance to devour the crypto currency confidence as the number one coin.

Overall, this could destroy bitcoin. After that the crypto world may collapse.

Looking at the prices, I feel so bummed that I sold most of my BCH for BTC and LTC.  Sad
174  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tomorrow is my last day on this Earth on: November 11, 2017, 06:41:00 PM
$15,000 is a lot of money to lose. Killing yourself won't make it come back though. Sometimes suicide feels like the only option, but there is always another way out. I would strongly consider other options. Everyday try and make it through one more day. Think of each day as a step that you have to get through. Eventually you'll be walking like there is nothing to worry about.
175  Economy / Speculation / Re: Am I late ? on: November 11, 2017, 10:17:58 AM
You're not late, but you're not early either. Instead of trying to time the market like a lot of other people do, I think it is best that you got in while you did. Unfortunately BTC kind of took a down turn because of recent events so it may drop a bit more. Give it a couple of months and I think we'll see ourselves in the green again.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries Banning Crypto Currencies on: November 11, 2017, 10:10:35 AM
As bitcoin becomes more and more mainstream I believe these countries will lift the ban, especially if their economy in said country is collapsing.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any techniques in investing in bitcoins? on: November 11, 2017, 10:04:10 AM
The best technique for investing in bitcoins for most people is to buy and hold for the long term. There are some people who can supposedly time the market. That is not my area of expertise so I just buy and hold. The best way to earn bitcoin for me was through playing poker. I also dumped most of my BCH for BTC... looking at prices recently I'm hoping that won't be a long term mistake.  Sad

There are so many great ways to invest and earn bitcoin. Just do some research and you'll find your best area for you.
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit2x continuing the fork ! on: November 10, 2017, 07:05:42 PM
Ethereum and Litecoin are down too guys. I'm worried that lame BCH will take over. It is up 40% and I can't figure out why. I'm really hoping it is a pump and dump. I hope that this is not the end for BTC. All the people I told that BCH sucks will now laugh in my face. Arghhh.

As for the bitcoin2x.org website, lol.

180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit2x cancellation discussion on: November 09, 2017, 08:22:22 AM
Honestly guys, I'm actually fine with the cancellation of the B2X coin. I was somewhat looking forward to dumping my B2X for some extra BTC, but overall I think the fork would have done more bad to the bitcoin community than good. I also don't have to deal with the stress of trying to sell my B2X before the price would have plummeted.
