With new development around smart contracts, etc. it should continue to grow in popularity and use. We just need some good sound projects / ICO's using Waves as references that help spread the word and build exposure for the platform.

You are raising approximately 250,000 ETH which is $56M at today's price?
Wowzers!
That is the upper limit. Any remaining tokens will be burned. Gluon was formed in 2015 and raised $2M in seed investment. We are raising another $2M from equity investors at a $40M valuation. Gluon has an FCC certified device in the market today with a consumer version of the device currently in testing. Any funds raised during the token sale will go towards the growth phase of the company which is outlined in the whitepaper and Company GLU will be used to for uses such as incentivizing personnel to join company, marketing expenses, and to grow the userbase with reward tokens. Yes, I understood that. It's still a significant amount for any company... Especially since I would have expected to see more traction from your large team with $2M in seed and two years on the market. That's quite a bit of a head start and advantage compared to other startups looking to raise money, yet your mobile app has no reviews and lack of downloads. There doesn't seem to be a community or base of existing customers as well. Isn't it fair to think that your team should have made more progress at this stage? Most startups would kill to have a large team of resources, $2M in funding, and two-years to compete.

What's the average in USD companies offer for bounty program? And translations?

Team is most important because it's never about the idea, marketing, etc. It's about the execution. Smart investors will invest on the basis that they believe the team is capable of creating and execution the vision.
With that said, I agree with most on this thread in that you are starting a business and launching an ICO for the wrong reasons. You should focus on solving a problem, creating impact, and doing something that you are passionate about.

Does anyone know when Waves plans to implement smart contracts?

Very interesting project with a great job of marketing. You guys have done well with connecting with media / PR, branding, and presenting yourselves in videos. However, like many in this thread... it appears that you still have gaps in your execution.
For example, members have mentioned delays in commitments around bounty information, no information on max caps or ICO details, etc. All of these things combined create an uneasy feeling for potential investors.
We need more execution / results and less marketing... ie. More action and less talk
Hello Grant Hero! Thanks for the comments. We are sorry if we were late on same comments regarding bounty campaign. Other then that, we answer all the questions related to business and project very fast and in a detailed matter. We think it is more important to answer questions that is related to business and technology first rather then questions regarding bounties. We will announce the hard cap cap soon. Thanks and all the best, Monetha Team To the contrary, isn't the hard cap something that is important to the business and project? You seem to focus your priority on announcements on all of your marketing videos and PR... but lack important details such as max cap? Seems backwards and questionable.

lkjhg7 millions its not max (hard) cap!!! so this project useless with so big cap at start ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) The minimum goal is $ 7 million? ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) , what does this innovative project present to require a minimum amount like this? I have not read whitepaper and do not know what they will do with these millions, anyone know? Based upon their roadmap, my guess is to build the platform. They've indicated that they have built a MVP but have to demo or release it. (Which in my opinion means that you don't have a MVP...)

I have a question: is a waves asset automatically listed at the waves dex? This dex raise fast (CoEval, etc.)
yes waves asset as automatically tradable on dex as soon as they are created. I don't understand the second question... the trade volume on the waves dex raises (CoEval 75 % of the trade volume is on the dex) - the waves decentralized exchange gow in importance Looking forward to the new UI release of the DEX. I have seen some screen shots of the new layout and it looked amazing. ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) Where did you see screenshots? Can you share? Thanks!

As the title states, I am seeking a developer to create a HTML post and signatures that we can use for our ICO on Bitcointalk.
If you have done this, please PM me. I'd require to see examples of posts and signatures that you have completed in the past. Compensation will be cash using PayPal or tokens from our platform upon release.
(Please note that we have developers on our team that could do this, but I'd rather not pull them away from the focus of completing our platform. Instead, I'd rather pay another developer that has quickly done this in the past to help.)
Thanks in advance.

As as recommendation, your website should have more details regarding the concept without having to read the whitepaper. People are going to expect some effort on your end before they can invest millions into your ICO.

Trezor and Ledger Nano S are the best options available on the market right now.
The KeepKey is nice but out of stock.

This scam token is put together better than half of the "real" ICO's I've seen out there. Love it... I'm following this for kicks.

Your website is designed and organized much better than tokenmarket and others. Well done.

Out of curiosity, what is this restricted from US residents? Is this because you are concerned about your token being classified as a security by the SEC?
|
|

Satoshi Nakamoto is exactly what BitCoin is... a decentralized autonomous organization. He's not one person. He represents a collective of individuals that created this technology with extreme anonymity.

I don't understand the value and utility of this token outside of funding this one house. Why does this project need its own token and ICO? Why not just try to raise money using any form of currency?
|
|
|
So to be clear... they define that some ICO's may be considered securities. Not all of them.
There are a lot of variables involved here to be considered a security including the token usage, marketing, and more.
With that being said, I've seen a lot of ICO's state that they guarantee a return on investment, are an investment vehicle, have a dividend, etc. In those cases, it's definitely considered a security and will be administered by the SEC. Even if you don't include US citizens in ICO, your company and token can be administered by the SEC if it's listed on any exchange.
I'm really glad that they did this. It will really crack down on ICO scams and the utility of the actual blockchain versus fake companies and token that don't have value.
