Why is there a blank one in the middle?
162  Other / Off-topic / Send Bitmessages to domain names! on: July 29, 2013, 11:39:28 PM
I've just implemented a simple change in Bitmessage, and I'd appreciate if some people could help test it.
AyrA had the idea of including a Bitmessage address in DNS, and I implemented it.
To test it out, download my fork of Bitmessage at https://github.com/Jaxkr/PyBitmessage.
Then, make sure you have all the prerequisites by following one of the guides. Here's the official one: https://bitmessage.org/wiki/Compiling_instructions
Finally, run
Code:
pip install dnspython
If you get "command not found" or something like that, try
Code:
easy_install dnspython

Thanks.
Feel free to send me a message at jaxkr.frog.li

You could add api for sites like blockchain or inputs.io
Ew Inputs. That site is so insecure. The owners could steal your BTC any time they want, and you can't export your private keys.
Just don't use a web wallet for anything more than pocket change. For big stuff, use an encrypted desktop client or even an offline cold storage wallet on a Raspberry Pi.

Me?
You cannot be seen.
Puzzle has been been solved by jackjack. Anyone without a Bitcoin address in their signature can be seen.
165  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Puzzle] Orange glass door. (70 mBTC prize) on: July 28, 2013, 05:44:43 AM
People who don't have a Bitcoin address in their sig?
So I think I can't be seen through the orange glass door
You're correct! The solution that was hashed was ""Only people without a Bitcoin address in their signature can be seen through the door."
Congrats. I'll send the coins over as soon as I get home, which will be in a couple of days.

Hint: Look at the last field on the user profile page. Only what's visible counts.

Me?
You can!

Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending
You've been doing this one for a while and I like it

You again. Pointless logic, which is par for the course for you. How many times does one have to say it? Cars have a purpose other than to take aim at someone and threaten and kill. It boggles me no end that these meme repeaters think they're being clever.

But no one CARES if a gun's primary purpose is to kill people. Don't you understand that? You can't just control other people and force them to abandon a lifestyle you disagree with because you think they are savages in need of your political enlightenment.
It's not a matter of caring, it's a matter of ethics. If you were trying to make your nation thrive, would you allow your citizens machines dedicated to killing?

I have updated the list with more usernames.
So far, none of you have been correct, but some good guesses!
171  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Puzzle] Orange glass door. (50 mBTC prize) on: July 27, 2013, 08:08:17 AM
Only users whose avatars are not predominantly blue can be seen through the orange glass door. (Orange glass blocks blue light, after all.)

Nope. Sorry.
The name was based on the classic "green glass door" riddle. I just used orange because that's the color of BTC. Excellent guess though.
Also, you cannot be seen through the door.
172  Other / Off-topic / Re: .5 BOUNTY on: July 27, 2013, 06:47:41 AM
I have a name address and other personal information, anyone that can help me please PM. I will give a bounty of .5 to anyone who can follow thru.
... Are you from the Mafia?

Bitcoin, more cash than cash
That doesn't really make sense.
175  Other / Off-topic / [Puzzle] Orange glass door. (70 mBTC prize) on: July 27, 2013, 05:58:16 AM
Here's how it works:
I'm thinking of a rule. Users who fit the rule can be seen through the orange glass door, users who don't can not.
To prevent me from changing it, the hash of the rule is
Code:
 739ef46fb90bb66f4845d09f6e666533bc4c3cb9d06041d2caa583531fd2c958

To check if you can be seen through the orange glass door, reply with "Me?" and I'll tell you.
If you think you've figured out the rule, leave the solution as a reply. If you're right, I'll send you the coins.

The current prize is 70 mBTC. You can increase it by donating to 1CwSbXmEiT6pg4EbZcgEGs4ZN5jmhCYKjb.
Donors to this puzzle:
  • Jaxkr (50 mBTC)
  • escrow.ms (20 mBTC)

The puzzle starts now! Good luck.

Alright. Trust is a more elegant system than I thought!
Why does DefaultTrust have such a high amount of positive feedback?
Because DiamondCardz left him (along with other accounts like satoshi) a feedback with 9001 BTC risked. Every 25 BTC risked is 1 trust point.
Haha! Oh.
But only if in a single rating though. Because I have 4 points I can see and I've only had 1 BTC or so risked on me.

Also, what makes the number in parenthesis "more resistant to abuse"?
179  Other / Meta / Re: What is up with my trust list? on: July 27, 2013, 02:50:42 AM
Thanks for the explanation.
And DefaultTrust is a user that trusts a bunch of trustworthy people?

This is awesome. Open source gambling scripts are really needed. They take away some of the power sites like SatoshiDICE or Just-Dice have. Good job.
I'll check it out as soon as the GitHub links are posted.
