161  Economy / Speculation / Re: another ATH , 71k and still climbing. on: May 15, 2024, 01:29:44 PM
Personally I still hold it. Even though currently the price of bitcoin tends to fall, I am sure that in the next opportunity the price of bitcoin will reach a much higher ATH than before. My target is not just $75k but $100k, and I am determined to continue hold until the price of bitcoin reaches $100k.

I like this type of attitude. People and investors need to have clarity like this. If you are investing in Bitcoins, then you need to think of something big. I have often seen the investors get into fear and panic sell the coins when price starts falling. Instead what they can really do is think this as an opportunity and buy the coins at cheap price. I have even heard that many people are planning to hold the coins till it reaches 500k USD. So lets hope for the best and keep on accumulating the coins.

Wow, that's a big price, but I think it's achievable in the next 5 years or so. But right now, the target is $100k, at least that is the conservative estimates that almost majority thinks that we will hit in the next bull run or our new all time high.

And then after that if you don't sell in this bull run and continue to hold then good for you. Others though might take some profit this bull run. But me thinking though what you said, because if I just hold my coins that I accumulated from the last bear market it could really be big money this incoming bull run but it's mentally tough but it's doable in my opinion.

Good news for boxing. Jermall Charlo was already stripped of his WBC belt a few days ago. Interim champ Carlos Adames is now the new WBC champion. Maybe it is time for these champion to face each other again so we'll have a new undisputed champ in this division. But I doubt PBC allows Lara and Adames to face Top Rank's unified WBO and IBF champ Janibek Alimkhanuly.

At least, finally we will see a new champion as Charlo has been a champion but he didn't defend it against his mandatory, so it's like he held the belt hostage for many years. The only name I recognized is Lara though. But he is old if I'm not mistaken and could be lucky that he has a belt right now. But it open up the division obviously and hopefully there could be unification fight as well.

Last weekend, we saw the great Lomachenko became champion again by methodically breaking down ex unified champion George Kambosos. I want to see Loma retiring. He has nothing to prove in this division and I highly doubt he unifies all the belts as he is already running out of time.

I still believed he still has a couple of fights inside of him, maybe a Davis or Shakur might will cemented his legacy. Just imagine if Loma at this age will beat both of those young and great fighters.

I don't know, I just can't feel Gobert. He should be the one stopping Jokic or at least limiting him. As the DPOY, and with this being his fourth DPOY, I expect more from him. If they can't limit Jokic next game, it's over for them. Also, Gordon stepping up is another problem for them. They need to play defense if they want to extend this series, but their confidence seems to be fading.

Nuggets manage to ready them after that 2 straight losses, now, they just made a good adjustments allowing everyone to spread and take good look shots, while if Jokic can force himself inside they are allowing him to create his own space and play his usual game, that core players are all contributing either with good defense and a support offense when Jokic needs them.

And same with your observation, Gobert needs to adjust and try harder stopping Jokic, if they don't find that right adjustments, it's over for them Nuggets will do everything to finished the series to have that rest advantage advancing to the conference finals.

Gobert has been mocked for being a DPOY for this year but he can't stop Jokic and a lot of people thinking about that Gobert award is a joke. Wolves need a good adjustment since it seems they are pretty soft and allow Jokic to dominate inside the paint.

Next game is a do or die for Wolves so they really need to produce good numbers and limit the scoring of Jokic. But to bad that it seems Nuggets already figure out how to defend wolves that's why they totally limit Edward to produce good offensive contribution. If Nuggets will perform the same then Wolves will take their vacation and Nuggets will compete again for conference finals. Its exiting but its early to celebrate for Nuggets fans since we don't know what Wolves cooking for game 6.

Yes, it's a must win for the Wolves, the good thing is that the game is in their homecourt, so maybe they can still breath and force a game 7 and we will see how great is ANT is this kind of very important game.

Otherwise it will be the defending champs moving into the Western finals again and we might see them against the number 1 team in the West. So it will be number 1 vs number 2. But if that happens, I think the experience of the Nuggets will be too much against the young Thunder.
164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 15, 2024, 10:57:27 AM
Anyone who thinks that the NYK will make a comeback in the next game as MSG?

I have them at -1.5 this early at 1.88 odds, I think despite that they lack personnel, they will have to bounce back in this game and the Villanova boys will have to find a way to win and get back the momentum in this series.

They struggled without OG, if he will not play, I think the Pacers will win. The confidence of the Pacers now is on the roof after they beat the Knicks by blowout last game, so I think they'll likely take the win. Currently the Knicks are -2.5, but this is already game 5, they might face the fatigue as they are undermanned and have not been using their bench effectively.

But it this game was taken over by Jalen Brunson and a whole team effort from the others, specially Isaiah Hartenstein who grabbed 17 rebounds. And so even if they are fatigued, it's their homecourt, with some of the Knicks great: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNCbwhP-raY

So there's no way for the Knicks to lose this one in their homecourt. And good for those who bet even higher handicap=higher odd wins. Congrats.
165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is going to happen Biden orders remove of Chinese-owned crypto Miner? on: May 15, 2024, 10:12:25 AM
United States President Joe Biden has signed an order preventing a China-linked crypto mining firm, to see more of this News you can click in the link below 👇👇👇

https://cointelegraph.com/news/biden-orders-removal-chinese-owned-crypto-miner-near-missile-base

But what the president is doing i don't think, is going to end well with Chinese this is going to affect their business over there and more people. Even if they move out crypto at missile base it'll surely not change anything cause the Chinese crypto are really helping out there. I don't know what's your opinion towards this? Or maybe the Chinese are trespassing?

Not sure how big that crypto mining farm that's about to be closed, but it seems that it is big as it raised a millions of money. Nevertheless, there are still a lot of miner farms across the globe that can cover so the effect might not be felt and there could be no impact to the price itself.

Really hard to comment on the repercussions or what is the motive by the Biden administration but it's obvious it is political. And this is not the first case though, there are many countries now specially in the South east Asia that there are suspicions that China is trying to insert someone in the government and thought to be sleeper agent. So I wouldn't blame US government for doing this.

167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Israil Madrimov vs Terrence Crawford on: May 14, 2024, 11:26:05 AM
Crawford has much more experience, better score, more to lose. Madrimov is still a newcomer when it comes to pro fights.
IMO Crawford is going to be very well prepared and harder to counter since he's a southpaw and you don't get a lot of good sparing opponents who excel in this stance, so Madrimov is going to have much less experience in fighting southpaws than Crawford vs orthodox fighters.

Whatever Madrimov does in the ring Crawford is ready for that, you're not an elite if you do not have multiple plans or the ability to shift in the fight, after the Spence fight I consider Crawford a flawless fighter, can you imagine a fighter who was considered his co-equal getting knockdown by his jab.

Madrimov is not better than Spence so we can conclude that it will be a much easier fight for Crawford, Crawford needs to fight level-A fighters now after the Spence fight fighting other unknown names is not attractive anymore, so I expect him to fight any of the Charlo or Canelo, so let's see.

Yes, if we have look at the previous fights of Madrimov, he is more of a powerful puncher and I think Crawford had deal a lot of this type of boxers in his career and he was able to adjust in the middle of the fight to even win by knockout himself.

I read some interview of him that when he was caught by Spence with that right hand, and he said in the line like "is that it", meaning he was able to take the best punch of Spence and he was not affected or even get wobbled by it. What I'm trying to say is that I think Crawford can take the best punch of his opponent and he can also dish one as well to stop or knock them down.
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 14, 2024, 11:05:07 AM
^^ Cavs are down 3-1 and without their best player and going up against the best team in the league in the regular season, I don't think that they can make this series and it could be 4-1 next and they are eliminated.

Must watch are the series in the West,

Wolves vs Nuggets, 2-2 when we think that the Jordan like ANT can finished the defending champion, Denver came back with a huge win and returning the favor back to Wolves.
OKC vs Mavs, 2-2 as well with the young OKC taking game 4 with a big comeback.
169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: May 14, 2024, 10:11:38 AM
Who will be next for him? I reckon this should be versus Shakur for the IBF, WBC championships and the vacant WBO championship. The winner of this will fight the scammer Tank Davis hehehe.

Shakur is what Bob Arum did promise Loma if he win so we might see this matchup at the end of this year if Loma won't consider retiring from boxing as he floats that idea because he said that he is now old for boxing. Against the young Shakur, Loma will be having a hard time as the former is a counter puncher and also technical but lack the experience, the biggest disadvantage of Shakur.

At this stage of his career, i don't think that Loma could unify all the four belts because he is running out of time.

Yes, will be hard for time to unify not only because of his age but boxing politics as well. And his boss might have a hard time negotiating against Shakur as he is no longer with Top Rank or left Bob Arum already. And then against Tank Davis, we might want to be the A-side against Loma.

At least Loma finally gets a 135 lbs, hard to see him crying when he lost against Haney.

But this time, he won and can finally have that tears of joy.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: May 11, 2024, 06:29:25 AM
I know this fight is important, so I will not rule out a draw or a rematch if the fight is too close because both fighters have the same style of fighting, and we all know style makes a fight.
I don't see it ending in a Draw, there should be a winner but if in case it will end in a close match, then rematch should be sign.

Same here, i don't this fight will end up in a draw and for me Loma will win with a wide margin decision. Lomachenko is better that Haney who punished Kambosos in two fights, that argument is enough to convince me that this fight is for Loma to win and Bob Arum is already preparing for his next fight against Shakur.

It could be, but not buying though the triangle theory in boxing. But in any case, if Loma is superior in terms of boxing skills, no doubt that he will win by a wide decision. But we forget that George Kambosos as well scored a upset win against Teo Lopez.

So anything is still up in the open for George, although a huge underdog, fighting at home again, it might be a different mindset for him and as we have said, this is a do or die match or a must win for him.
171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jaron Ennis vs Cody Crowley For Welterweight Title July 13 on: May 11, 2024, 05:43:13 AM
It's unfortunate for boxing fans that Ennis became a champion without challenging Crawford. He is considered as the next big name in the welterweight and can give Crawford a hard time, but Crawford did not give him an opportunity and instead moved up for more significant challenges.

Based on my observation, the welterweight division will be challenging for Ennis; Vergil Ortiz and Errol Spence will challenge him; it is good that he became a champion finally, after waiting in line for a long time.

I very much agree, however, this might be a chance to create another history in boxing where Bud Crawford will do another move to unify the welterweight division by fighting the other king of welterweight. Before the fight of Crawford vs. Spence, I have always considered and argued that Crawford and Spence were the kings of their weight division. However, there was a 3rd king Boots Ennis. No one have known his name before except @Boafeng and @bisdak, who are the kings of boxing analysis in bitcointalk hehehe.

On creating legacy for Bud, Ennis will be a good opponent for him and the next will be Canelo. The promoters should promote Canelo vs. Crawford! This is my wish as a fan of boxing and it should be yours also.

Crawford says that he doesn't want to fight Ennis before, it's because according to him there is no money to be made. I mean he is also not a PPV star and it's obvious that his biggest purse is fighting Spence.

And so he move up in weight at 154 lbs and fights Madrimov, and most likely if he wins, the governing body should strip him of his 147 lbs status as champion if he doesn't want to fight at least his mandatory.

But for this fight, could be get busy fight for Ennis or just to defend his belt for this year.
172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 11, 2024, 05:03:09 AM
The Pacers held on to the series, if they lost today it was over. Nembhard took some bad shots, but he scored on the most important one.
The Knicks are plagued by injuries. It's affecting Brunson, too. He shot poorly but McBride and Burks contributed at emergency times, DiVincenzo was very good in this game. But on the other side there's a reality called Haliburton. Siakam and Turner's rebound dominance in the last minutes was important. Game 4 could be similar, Pacers still need to protect the home court.

That last second shot was crazy. I’ve never even heard of Nembhard… Glad the Pacers are still in it though.

The Denver Nuggets look like they are going to steal a win against the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight. They’re leading pretty good at the half. It’s now or never for them. If they lose tonight they go down 0-3 and its all over.

Yeah, it was a crazy game, I thought that the Knicks will be up 3-0 in this series as Donte is lighting it up in this game. But he wasn't able to score in the last 10 minutes of the game and the Pacers went on a great comeback.

And then Nembhard had a drive and that 3 that he let out, bang, that was the danger.

But still very unpredictable series as the Knicks is very tough team to beat in this playoff.
173  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 190K in 2024? on: May 10, 2024, 09:42:33 PM
There's like 7 more months before 2025 so I'd say that your price speculation isn't that far off and I don't think that it's generous, seems to me that it's grounded to reality even just a little. I mean look at it, the bitcoin price is going over to 65k+ and it's steady there I think that this halving would make us see a new kind of growth that might not be even in our wildest imagination so I don't believe it's not that high of a price prediction. So, what can we do if we were to expect this kind of event though? I think that the only answer here would be to do your due diligence and do the consistent DCA, you don't want to miss out if this happens and at the same time you're secured because you're buying bitcoin.
Well, knowing bitcoin, it can always surprise us with something new, but I guess having $190k within this year is quite unreachable. The current price may possibly get doubled and reach $120k-$130k only, still below the anticipated price of OP. Although I’m not doubting the price potential of bitcoin, but sometimes we should predict somehow a reasonable price, and I think having $190k may not be possible throughout the year but most likely at the early quarter of 2025.

Yeah, that is too much to ask for the market to grow this year at $190k.

And looking at the current price, it has to grow 3x in the next six month and it might be a difficult task as we need a bigger money source, could be whales, average joe investors to push that high. With that, just let accept what the market will give to us this 2024, I mean we already have established a new all time high. Could be good to see the market establishing new all high time of $80k++.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance launches Notcoin (NOT) on launchpool. on: May 10, 2024, 09:12:36 PM
You can stake BNB and FUSD to farm NOT coins. Tap to earn mining rewards. Listing will happen on 16th and trading will start from 12:00 UTC. Including Binance two other exchanges OKX and Bybit will list NOT coin. Those who had mined the coin will be able to claim them on the listing date which is same for other two exchanges.

What do you guys think? Will NOT pump after listing or will it get dump?

With that way we have seen the market specially on shit/meme coins, they are going to be pump when they are being listed in a solid exchange like Binance, however this could be a trap,

1. once it listed ↑ again due to the pump
2. people buy the hype but after that it will go ↓
3. there will be investors, specially noobs who will be trap and the only way to get out is to sell

So for those who are going at it, just be careful as clearly it could be manipulated by some entities.
175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the main points of gambling? on: May 10, 2024, 08:45:37 PM
Gambling thus requires three elements to be present: consideration
(an amount wagered), risk (chance), and a prize.

I noticed that people now don't actually know their main points of them gambling, some people gamble to earn daily and some people just gamble cause they saw their friends won in gambling. That's how they develop their gambling lifestyle and from their they get addicted to it. I've over heard people complaining about them losses, for me I think they don't know the main points of gambling. What do you think about this people losses much? Does it mean they don't know the main points of gambling?

It's obvious though, and again, gambling is simple and so we don't need to overthink about this kind of element and whatnot. Remember that it has been with human since the beginning and yet it still exist up to this day, why? it's because that's part of our psychology to gamble at one time or another in our natural life.

And when I think about psychology it means that it has been ingrained with us, we lost money, we win money, that's it. And we have heard horror stories about the bad result of it and yet people continue to play.
176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: May 10, 2024, 12:25:04 PM
Hypothetical question to you guys, who do you think will win though, if both Terrence Crawford and Naoya Inoue are in the same weight class let's say Crawford's best weight at 147 lbs and then Inoue at 122 lbs? Who do you think will win?

Tough question to answer but i will go with Inoue because the guy has tough chin though he was knockdown by Nery for the first time of his career but he recovered immediately that Nery didn't have the chance of take advantage of that knockdown and second, Inoue is heavy handed that he could knockout his opponent with just one punch though Crawford also has it but i just love to watch Inoue fight.

Indeed, but I will go with this version of Crawford to beat Inoue similar to how he dominated Spence. And I think Crawford will be the favorite in somehow they are in the same division.

We still wanted for Inoue to fight Casimero, this has been our fantasy since they almost collide at 118 lbs and Casimero's fight at that weight class is very impressive. John Riel though when I check is already 35 years old and could be a damage good already. And as he move to 122 lbs, the power is not that scary as compare to 118 lbs when his power is really strong and anyone that he touches goes to the canvass.
177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 10, 2024, 12:00:52 PM
Yeah, it was Brunson who lead the team as Julius Randle is out already and who knows he might not be back in New York uniform because the team now looks solid in both offense and defense and working very hard as a team. Because when Randle is playing its more on isolation on him and then outside 3 point shot.

Brunson is really showing phenomenal results this playoffs, and it looks like this guy is in his prime right now. But why do you think Randle won't be back with the Knicks? He has at least one more season on his contract with the Knicks, and it seems to me that he can adapt to the new conditions, i.e., when Brunson is the team leader.

Well although Randle has been offered great contract, but after that it was not the Julius Randle that everyone has been expecting of him. And the core team mates around him that time has been traded already and this is a new set of players now and it obvious that it evolves on Jalen Brunson as the new franchise players.

So with that, maybe, just maybe the management might think of trading Randle, we have seen that he struggles though this season with the shift of focus to Jalen. And now that he is out because of his injuries, we can say that the team is doing great without him.
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: May 09, 2024, 02:20:29 PM
Both A and B samples come from one container which is divided by an official conducting the testing. It’s practically impossible for one sample to be clean and another one dirty. This is why Ryan is trying to get ahead of this by claiming that the failed test is due to contaminated supplements. I don’t know whether he will be exonerated but he is already busy trying to hype up a fight with Errol Spence.
Can't Haney just let it go though? I feel like he's being a sore loser trying to cling to hope that Garcia is really using PED to fight him, can't he just accept the curse of Prime? I'm just kidding. But in all seriousness though, I feel like this investigation won't lead to nowhere, the drugs if there's really something in the system, would've been out because it's been so long. For me, the only way to resolve this is a rematch, but this one there should be an independent committee overseeing both boxers, that way there's no possiblity of cheating or PED.

I think he just want to really damage Ryan Garcia's reputation here and turn the fight into no contest and and his status of undefeated might go back because it's very important for him to have 0 loses so far. We will just have to wait and see, there are full of drama now but it looks like Garcia is very confident about himself and could be exonerated as not guilty with the tainted samples that he had. And with that confidence, Ryan is still hyping himself and mentioning names like Errol Spence as his next opponent and having a storyline of his now coach Derrick James getting even or punish Spence for not paying him fair during their time as trainer/boxer.

He just want to make Garcia look bad in the eyes of boxing fans around the world and they want the fans to think about that the guy cheat on their match that's why he won. But a lot of people really know the result of the fight so whatever Haney's camp did just to throw out the achievement gotten by Garcia for sure a lot of people who watch that match will never forget that Ryan Garcia win and beaten Haney so bad in that fight.

So maybe if they succeed on their contest due to what they say substance use of Garcia they can't still erase the fact that Haney is no match on Garcia at that time and people will not be happy on the result since Haney is a total loser on that match.

And there are reports that Garcia 1 sample turns out to be negative though. So by now there are conflicting reports and don't know if that is fake news or someone really wanted to sabotage Ryan Garcia's reputation with all this allegations.

And by now yeah, he is calling Spence as per this official X account and then we have the storyboard that involved James and Ryan is going to avenge his coach now as there are now a legal battle between Derrick James vs Errol Spence Jr in terms of money that Spence supposedly own James.
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 09, 2024, 01:40:35 PM
@inthelongrun. This is my reply in King Ry vs. Haney thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5484591.msg64042433#msg64042433

I reckon if that is correct, everyone who has said many negative things will feel stupid again very much similar when they felt stupid after King Ry's victory because they have been tricked again by team Ryan heehhehe.

And then again Ryan is cleared for the banned substance. The sentence about his being suspended for 24 months I guess is just something they will have to void. I'm not sure if it's true actually but that was just what I've read on some news.

This accusation is just from Haney conspiring with some agencies because he is just too hurt. A very sour boy.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/brianmazique/2024/05/08/ryan-garcia-has-been-cleared-for-1-ped-but-what-about-the-ostarine/

And with that, Ryan is calling out Errol Spence,

https://twitter.com/RyanGarcia/status/1788363658743194089

Haney should move forward already, it's very obvious that even without this PED or whatnot in Ryan Garcia's system, he can't win that fight as Garcia is too big and that left hook of him is lethal and very fast that Haney although prepared, wasn't able to cover.

Hello guys,

do you think that this is a good crypto selection to invest 5k €, 1k each?

- Render (RNDR)
- Moonbeam (GLMR)
- NEAR Protocol
- Solana
- Shiba Inu

Im especially interested in your opinion in RNDR

And do you think it’s better to invest in those 5 coins mentioned above than putting all 5k into just near, shiba and glmr?

I'm sorry but we don't have the crystal ball to see what the future holds for this 5 coins. And you do know that there are risk involved on some new or even old meme coins?

So it's best to DYOR (Do your Own Research), instead of blindly investing on some altcoins.

And the money that you are about to invest is huge as well, so just be careful, it could be hard earn money on your end, just saying.
