161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accelerate adoption, open an online store on: April 01, 2018, 05:16:06 PM
The biggest problem is that in many countries it is not clear how to pay tax for transactions made in cryptocurrencies if you don't cash out right after you receive your coins. However, it should change soon because governments are slowly taking Bitcoin more seriously because more and more people want to use it. There are some shops which already accept Bitcoin as  a payment but I have no idea how they deal with taxes later. It might cause some trouble for people who have never heard of cryptocurrencies before.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple vs Bitcoin? Decentralize vs Centralize, Who win? on: April 01, 2018, 05:01:10 PM
Bitcoin won't lose to Ripple. Some time ago it was worth about $3 dollars, some people were sure that it will surpass Bitcoin but it didn't so far. People who become interested in cryptocurrencies know that their biggest benefit is that they are decentralised. I don't see any reason why Ripple would overcome Bitcoin. Ripple can process more transaction per second because it is centralised. You have to pay 20 XRP for creating a Ripple wallet, that's way to much. You can create as many Bitcoin wallets as you want to, even offline.
163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why GOV is not supporting the CRYPTOCURRENCY LIKE OTHER NEW TECHNOLOGY??? on: April 01, 2018, 04:29:49 PM
It is quite easy to understand why some governments are against Bitcoin. Some of them would like to control their citizens as much as it is possible. Thanks to centralised banking it is very easy to check on what certain citizen is spending their money. Some governments banned Bitcoin because their citizens were buying it because of huge inflation. Bitcoin was more stable than their own national currency. Fortunately, there are also countries who see the potential of Bitcoin and it looks like they are going to make it legal and available everywhere.
164  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if we buy bitcoins now all TOGETHER?! on: April 01, 2018, 03:45:09 PM
I don't really think that it will help. A lot of people are dumping their BTC, maybe even whales who have hunders of bitcoins. Let's hope that people will stop panicking soon. Even if there are many positive news, they are still afraid of losing their money. Bitcoin won't recover if we don't encourage other people to stop selling. Lightning Network was successfuly deployed and it didn't help much even though it was a milestone for Bitcoin. You could buy more BTC for youself and wait for the end of this trend.
165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you want to increase the price of Bitcoin then promote it everywhere around u on: March 30, 2018, 10:43:47 PM
People usually talk about how much money they have earned so far thank to Bitcoin and I think that's wrong. You should start with explaining why even Bitcoin exists and why it can replace fiats. Most people only want to earn money quickly without learning anything. Some people who invest in Bitcoin don't even believe that it might have a chance to replace fiat. I try to tell people who are around me about Bitcoin and usually they become interested in it. However, they quickly give up because they think that it is too difficult for them to understand.
166  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin below $50 on: March 30, 2018, 05:59:55 PM
Less than $50 is definitely crazy prediction. Something really bad would have to happen e.g. global ban to make Bitcoin price decline that much. If Bitcoin was that cheap, miners would quickly abandon it because it wouldn't be profitable for them to mine which means that the whole network would be less secure. I don't think that whales and people from the industry will let Bitcoin to fall that much. It could be a great time to buy more BTC but also it could discourage new potential investors who would be too afraid to invest.
167  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price - 3 months on: March 30, 2018, 05:01:40 PM
People are selling their BTC right now due to panic, unfortunately. Someone spreads a lot of FUD, probably in order to buy Bitcoin at a lower price - many famous people have attempted to do it and they usually succeeded. People are slowly becoming resistant to this but it might take some time before some people will understand it because more and more new people come here. I expect Bitcoin to be worth more than 14,000 dollars in the next three months. Many interesting things may happen by that time e.g. quickly growing adaption of Lightning Network.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Possibility of Bitcoin's value to be zero on: March 29, 2018, 09:20:23 PM
I think that there will be always some people who will want to pay for Bitcoin. There are many developers currently working on Bitcoin who are doing their best to make it faster, easier to understand, cheap in use and more reliable. Cryptocurrencies are slowly becoming more and more popular, why would Bitcoin reach zero? This makes no sense, the possibility of that happening is so low that many people don't even consider it happening. People are too skeptical.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Purchasing biggest crypto exchanges by banks on: March 29, 2018, 07:52:00 PM
Large exchanges being purchased by large companies or banks is a bad sign. There are some decentralised exchanges and it looks like we will have to switch to them really soon. The second variant is more appealing but I still think that decentralised exchanges will become a real things after LN becomes more popular among Bitcoin users. Governments are trying to force crypto-exchanges to give them our information. They won't be able to get them from decentralised one.
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will kill itself on: March 29, 2018, 07:20:59 PM
Bitcoin can't kill itself but its community can do it by fighting with each other instead of focusing on making Bitcoin better and faster. We focus too much on money, this is what divides our community these days. Bitcoin is beyond the control of banks and governments. The only thing they can do is making selling Bitcoin more difficult. Why would we sell Bitcoin if it can become a future currency used by many people? They can't stop Bitcoin now, it's too late.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is what happening to BTC on: March 28, 2018, 09:12:14 AM
Most investors buy Bitcoin because it has been increasing for a long time. They don't understand the purpose of it, they are only after money. That's bad because they tend to sell BTC if its price is low which eventually leads to even lower prices. However there are people who understand for what Bitcoin should be used. People started to treat Bitcoin only as investment, not as something that they could use everyday for for example payments.
172  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you feel the rise of BTC anytime soon? on: March 28, 2018, 08:06:20 AM
Yes because of many positive news Bitcoin price should start rising again very soon. This correction lasted a really long time but there is no reason to worry about the future of Bitcoin. We had a lot of similar situations in the past and Bitcoin always recovered from them. People are really impatient, invest your money if you want and wait - you won't be disappointed.
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the history repeat again? on: March 28, 2018, 07:45:27 AM
I don't think that Bitcoin will fail because many people invested lots of money in this business so they won't let Bitcoin die anytime soon. Especially miners whose source of income is Bitcoin mining. Higher the price, higher profit, it should be easy to understand for anyone. However there might be some people who are trying to lower the price of Bitcoin deliberately in order to buy more of them. It has happened a few times already.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoins be antiques on: March 26, 2018, 01:23:43 PM
We don't know what will happen in the future to Bitcoin and the world. There might be a war or the whole humanity might be read. We are not able to predict the future. If we continue to make Bitcoin better, there is a huge chance that it will survive a few years. All coins are predicted to be mined by 2130, you will be dead. However every 4 years the reward for mining a block halves which means that Bitcoin price will continue to grow. I wouldn't be surprised if people wanted to buy 1 BTC for even 1 million dollars
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I sell house to buy bitcoin if it drops below $ 5000? on: March 26, 2018, 12:43:28 PM
I don't think that we will see less than $7 thousand dollars again. There is currently no reason which would indicate that it might happen. Selling house would be really risky even though Bitcoin seems to be a good investment. There is always a risk that you might lose your money not only due to fall of Bitcoin but also because of for example keylogger which could steal your private key. Can you afford losing a house? You have to be ready for everything.
176  Economy / Speculation / Re: The way of BITCOIN! 2018 on: March 26, 2018, 09:06:44 AM
People expect Bitcoin to hit even $80 thousand dollars by the end of 2018. That would require a lot of new people to start investing their money and time. It is possible because people slowly become aware that fiats aren't as good as governments and banks say. We all have to be patient, if Bitcoin pride starts to grow so rapidly then it might be a problem. Transaction fees will surge if we dont finish Lightning Network on time. I believe that we will manage to do that.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: selling bitcoin is a stupid decision ? on: March 26, 2018, 08:03:41 AM
It's up to you if you want to sell BTC. I think that selling BTC is not a good idea, especially if you don't need cash right now. Bitcoin value is very likely to increase in the next few months because of more and more who become interested in Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a promising cryptocurrency. There are many cryptocurrencies which will become much more valuable.
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC experience for young people on: March 26, 2018, 07:10:21 AM
Young people usually don't have much money so you are right that speculation might be risky for them. However Bitcoin is great opportunity for them to not only make money but also to become interested in something that might become something that they use everyday. Cryptocurrencies are difficult to understand, extra time might benefit them in the future. They might even find work related to cryptocurrencies in the future.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has bitcoin price reached its peak? on: March 26, 2018, 06:30:44 AM
I don't think that Bitcoin has reached its peak. We are still far from actual BTC price. Bitcoin price might increase thanks to wider adoption. More people might become interested in Bitcoin after it starts to be faster. Currently it is very reliable but transactions are quite expensive when there are a lot of unconfirmed transactions.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Venting on: March 24, 2018, 09:54:52 AM
I agree that Blockchain.info is a scam, many people have complained that their money disappeared without any warning or that transaction fees are way to high there. Web wallets are convenient but I don't trust them anymore. If you want to use one on the go then install wallet on your phone. At least you will be the only one who has the seed. I don't know any iOS wallets but Coinimi and Samurai are both interesting and good wallets. Bitcoin is not a scam. This thread was made in December when the while network was overloaded. Now transaction fees are really cheap and fast.
