161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Solar Superstorm | Impact on the internet and Bitcoin. on: November 27, 2023, 02:27:10 PM
I read such news in an article a few months ago. I think we should assume that what they are saying is true; for sure, they are making it a solution to have an alternative way of using the internet.

But even so, of course, it is still possible that this is still speculation, and if it does happen, we should prepare for it because the whole world will definitely be affected if it actually happens. Although it seems scary to think about losing the net.

162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme. on: November 26, 2023, 11:55:32 PM
If there are people who think it's easy to make money or get rich with Bitcoin, it can be said that they have a misunderstanding about it; maybe the person they talked to or explained to them didn't really know anything about the concept of bitcoin.

Or maybe it was just hyped because Bitcoin was used as a front to defraud investors, so it is very important to know or learn to research first so they know what Bitcoin can really bring to people who believe in it, because if they know and learn the right method, they will definitely move their lives forward in the right process and not in the quick way they think.
163  Economy / Economics / Re: World changing and those who don't adopt this Will stay poor on: November 25, 2023, 10:08:41 PM
I don't care about that CBDC, and I don't even believe in that, to be honest. Why should I understand? Even without that, I have already been given the opportunity to earn here in the cryptocurrency business industry. And so far, it continues.

And the Cbdc was also created by manipulators so that they can control all the communities of cryptocurrency, or bitcoin; that's how simple it really is to understand, while Bitcoin and crypto are clearly created for decentralization so that no one can control the assets they want. Let's hold on for a long time.
164  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I still hold the investment or sell it? on: November 25, 2023, 09:57:35 PM

First of all I'm a small bitcoin investor, and I'm not too old to invest so this is the beginning of my investment.

I have known about Bitcoin since long time ago and I have been interested in Bitcoin ever since. Slowly trying to learn about Bitcoin and interest in learning about Bitcoin introduced me to investing. At the beginning of investing in Bitcoin I felt different, I could not believe that investors invest in this crypto currency. While slowly trying to learn about investing and at some stage of trying I got a rough idea about investing and from then on I started to believe that investors really invest in this platform. It was okay for others to invest but I couldn't bring up the courage to invest myself because it seemed too risky to me. Although it seemed risky, since a curiosity was working in my mind, I took courage and decided to withdraw money from my savings account and decided to invest that money in Bitcoin.
At the time I invested in Bitcoin I clearly remember when Bitcoin was worth around $25K. To be honest, I couldn't sleep well until a few days after investing, I always felt that maybe I had invested my hard-earned savings in the wrong place. Although it was bad for a few days, I was able to adjust myself with it later. After a few days of my investment, I felt that something good must be waiting for me, because since that time the price of Bitcoin has been steadily increasing and has reached its current level.

When the price of Bitcoin reached $38K I thought I would sell my investment but I didn't sell my investment yet hoping for something better. Thinking whether to sell the investment or not I thought I should share the matter in the forum and I will get the best solution from the forum that's why I am sharing the matter in the forum whether I should hold on to my investment or sell it now.
I don't need the money anyway, if I sell my investment now I have to deposit this money in the bank again.

First of all, it's your choice; it's your decision that will be followed honestly. If I look at the timing of your purchase, it's also a good choice, so you have an income that you can say you know.

But anyway, the only thing wrong with what you did was that you did something that you knew within yourself that you still had doubts about, yet you continued. But, despite the fact that you feel that way, you somehow made a profit, and thank God for that. Here's my advice to you: just start now, and if you see it grow, why don't you continue holding it until next year until the Halving comes? Then sell it first. Who knows, the amount you showed could be x5 or that's more.
165  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Fee Observer Thread in USD(sat/vB) on: November 24, 2023, 12:37:20 PM

167  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Binance CEO CZ bumaba sa pwesto, at nagkipagsettle on: November 22, 2023, 10:53:21 PM
Makukulong ba si CZ?

If anything, most probably house arrest; similar sa nangyari kay Arthur Hayes ng BitMEX back in the day.

169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changed the game you gamble on? share your story. on: November 22, 2023, 10:32:27 PM
Is it the game you started playing as a gambler that you still play till now? Is there any gambler in this place who was used to playing a particular game before but never was successful winning or did not win enough and then made up their mind that it was time for a change in the game you gamble on. Which game did you change from, and what did you change to? how long did you play the game that you are deciding to stop playing because of the bad outcomes?

Even though I rarely gamble, I also rarely win gambling, and that is no longer surprising to me. So if I ever win a nice amount, I am pretty sure I will stop immediately. Because, of course, that rarely happens to me.

That's why such scenarios should not be released immediately; instead, the winnings should be released immediately. Besides that, if you notice that your gambling losses are increasing even if we say that you are just doing it for fun, that should also stop. because that's not good anymore, to be honest.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in psychic betting? on: November 22, 2023, 10:19:29 PM
Well, don't get me wrong; I laugh at that kind of prediction, to be honest. I just don't know, because for me, gambling is really just for entertainment. Now,  even if I win, it's none of my business, whether you have money or not. That's the same as having the opportunity to gamble, that's all. to me.

So why would I believe that if you believe that winning at gambling is mostly based on luck? right? So, for me, I don't believe in that. Because if you don't bet, you will never experience winning gambling, that's all.
171  Economy / Gambling / Re: QuitGamble.com - Free Help for Problem Gamblers on: November 22, 2023, 10:10:38 PM

You see, people don't know many things, they believe everything can be done the way anyone likes it, but it's not always so. In a sane world, there are rules and everyone has their quote to contribute, or else things would go out of control. Talking about the house's responsibility in this context, in some countries, you would not be able to operate a casino without fully registering and being regulated, and if you do all these, you have to obey the rules as operators. One of the rules is for you to have the welfare of your customers at heart, particularly those who could be going through financial and addiction challenges. As much as the house would not know everyone personally to build relationships with them to know the problem to ship in their advice and recommendations, they are mandated to have the "Self-exclusion" feature on their website.

This applies to land-based casinos too, and it's just like signing an agreement that such a person will not visit their casino for a certain period due to a specific reason. However, I've read a series of cases that casinos do not obey as they allow such people to cancel the feature and start gambling again. But the government should not hear such as it's a very serious offence in some countries like the UK as it's a layer to force the house to take responsibility too.
Well, this may sound very easy in words but not in practice,  because at some point,  you still have to know that even though those casinos that are registered are mandated to follow regulatory guidelines for their operations and players' welfare,  but even at that, there still will focus more on the revenue for the operation so for such it becomes obviously clear that not all the restriction rules will be followed by the casino and that have been the major issues as regards to casinos taking the responsibility to control their client's gambling behaviour.

The highest that they can do is to set an age limit which has already been set to 18+ or better still have a self-exclusion feature,  but anything outside these two,  the casino sees it as a drawback for their profit since they are in the business for the profits.

The other countries strictly implement the rule that they do not allow a minor to enter a casino, whether it is an online or land-based casino. I also don't see anything wrong with this step they are taking.

And this kind of implementation that a country is doing is really good because it only shows a real concern for minors, and it is good to see it being implemented in all countries that are legitimately allowed to operate gambling in each country, if that is where it stands.
172  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to read the screenshots traders post. An example. on: November 22, 2023, 09:59:10 PM
Here is the screenshot that was posted on a Telegram channel, and people seem to be exited about it. I kind of understand that the person is doing trading, however, I am not sure I understand the details.

So the general question is how to read the screenshot?

1. Where is the trade is made? I guess Binance, I might be wrong
2. What is Mark Price?
3. What is Margin?
4. What is Risk? What does the 9.89% risk means in this particular case?
5. I guess "Est. Liq. Price" means the price at which DOT will be sold. Is that right?
6. What is Cross 10x means?
7. Any other details to pay attention?

Thanks.

Are you doing some trading exploration right now? Because if yes, it means that you really have an allocation budget for the trading practice you want to do. I've been here for a few years, but I've never tried that in the image you gave here because I don't want to take a step that I'm not sure about.

For example, it's as difficult as driving a car when you're not sure if you can really drive it because just a little mistake can cause you to have an accident right away. The same is true when doing trading like that; we must be sure of what we're going to do.
173  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spot trading or future trading which trading is best for beginers? on: November 22, 2023, 09:49:47 PM
You know that almost the majority of those who gave their comments on your question on this topic are better off starting with spot trading first. That's because it's to avoid a complicated situation.

Because a newbie can't really understand futures trading right away, unlike the spot, at least the actual time frame that happens is the one that will immediately determine if you will make money or not in the spot category. So if I were you, I would follow what most people say since you asked this question.
174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you believe Technical Analysis? on: November 22, 2023, 09:38:31 PM
Not anymore. I'm more focused on fundamentals now, and technical analysis is just for entertainment without influencing my decisions. Long-term suits me better at the moment, as I prefer not to be too active in front of candlesticks. The longer time frame isn't an issue for me as it's heavily influenced by fundamental aspects.

I still come across some technical analysis results on social media, but I don't pay much attention to it and see it more as entertainment.

A day trader will always keep an eye on candlesticks, and technical analysis is their daily bread. Use it if it's still profitable. There's nothing wrong with technical analysis; it's just a matter of whether or not you use it as a consideration for your investments or trades.

Technical analysis is both good on long term and short term trade since you can use the time frame to adjust the goal of your analysis. Longer time frame means you are aiming for long term price result and vice versa.
It doesn't guarantee anything, as surprises can come anytime.

Well, either technical or fundamental, they are not guaranteed to be able to help us so that we can get a profit from the trading activity that we will do because ultimately even experts are not correct in their predictions on a coin. .

But at the end of the day, they still continue to use it because they believe that somehow they will still get a profit, as if it is their weapon or basis to determine where the value of bitcoin or crypto in the market may go.
175  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tataas Kaya Ang Awareness Ng MgaTao Sa Bitcoin Kung May Mga Billboard on: November 22, 2023, 01:55:01 PM

Kumbaga mapapamilyar sila sa Bitcoin in some other way din.

176  Economy / Economics / Re: What would you do in this situation? Invest or save? on: November 22, 2023, 01:44:42 PM
If you have plans to start a dream business that requires a capital of  $20,000 and you were able to make a savings of $15,000 which obviously isn't enough to start up the business, what would be your decision or advice?

1. Invest the $15,000 into a smaller business hoping that the returns will yield the remaining $15,000 in a short period. Note that this has the potential of failing and wasting the already-saved  $15,000.

2. Keep the $15,000 while doing other work that will yield the remaining money over a long period.

Would love to see your input or a better suggestion apart from the ones I pointed out above.

N/B
This is the typical situation a friend finds himself and we are just brainstorming in what best to do.
In my country, have $15k is huge amount and you can start many business worth much profitable in the yearly such as investment in palm oil or any agricultural kinds. But depend on your skill are understanding with build up real business or likely you want to invest in bitcoin, regarding bitcoin price up every day its worth with that amount and possibility earn much profitable in the future more than $15,000.
Regarding with my fund hold on some altcoin, I prefer for investing your money in bitcoin and make good plan as long or short term trading, you can earn around 4% to 10% in daily regarding investing on the top coins such as Bitcoin or Ethereum, I believe have much profitable in the future than holding in the bank with small profitable earning and keep lower values due inflation.

That's a really big amount. Well, in fact, I can buy a rental house for that amount, or a row house, and then I can build a small business and also buy a brand new motorcycle for 15,000 dollars.

But if all of that is allocated to a traditional business, it would be nice to have an eat all you can that is very affordable to the people, but it comes with a class that even students can afford, right? The buffet business is still a trend today; it is becoming a trending business in this era here in our place.
177  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat & Crypto - Effective Expert Advise on: November 22, 2023, 01:31:14 PM
Yes everyone should first learn and get knowledge and if someone get knowledge and then stop to learn then he will not be able to take knowledge because new things are introducing in crypto space so always continue to learn as knowledge cannot be completed ever. Sharing knowledge is also very crucial because at some point other will take help from it or at some point you will correct your knowledge as it is not necessary that what you have learned will always be accurate.

Those who make investment have no need to take out money quickly because anytime the market can go higher but those who are trading will make an immediate decision. Don't forget that beside bitcoin there is no more acceptable and successful coin and in strategies there is no other better strategy than having a patience during harsh situations.

The learn and get knowledge depends on what you want to learn. If it's about bitcoin investment or cryptocurrency, it can be said that it's really good that you delve into it and find out why it's a good investment for the future.

And it's also really good that before investing, you should have knowledge about allocating your capital, because once you can decide, you know that 100% of the capital that you will use in the crypto assets that you will buy to hold for a long time will have a profit. -term.
178  Economy / Economics / Re: this makes a huge impact on the economy. on: November 22, 2023, 01:21:59 PM
I noticed majority of the people in my area tend to spend more money then usual when they get their salary, like buying things they don't really need.
I said majority of people because my dad owns a grocery store, I have noticed that most of the customers tend to buy more stuff on the 1st and 10th day of the month because on these days they get paid in my country.
I already seeing this pattern on news or business related youtube videos, but I didn't think it was a big deal.
Now I realized that its very important to consider this behavior of people when making business decisions because it can have a big impact on the sales or finances.
I am surprised by it because in my family we usually buy only things we really need, I am starting to understand how other people's spending habits can affect the business.

Do you also find yourself spending more on you payday?, or you approach your expenses differently?
Payday in this country is always a day of joy because that day your whole cravings will be satisfied. Although financially it's wrong, it just shows lack of financial plans. On a normal pay day, one just has to meet his needs right, it's wrong to go about spending unhealthily. For every right thinking person, he'll have a number of things he'd need to do for himself with his salaries and added to that list, there'll be persuasion in the mind to get unnecessary things too, now it takes a reasonable person to know how he makes his expenses from his salary.
That’s finance management as well, it's part of what would help in financial growth too. Do not go about fulfilling all your heart desires, satisfying all your cravings both the important and less important ones, rather sit back, make plans, budget, check out every area of yourself and list out the very important things you'd need to settle out first with your salary and most importantly, don't forget to put in your savings first in the budget because it's definitely what will save you when rainy days come.

Here in our country, the day of payday for most employees, which I don't understand, is a feeling for many that they are like one-day millionaires. This is how most people work here. feeling social but trying hard, feeling high-class but not either.

Going along with the trend but still trying hard, after a few days of pay day, there is no money; it's all debt, the way other employees do here. So most of those who work here lack financial management.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Just HODL But HODL Wisely and Securely on: November 22, 2023, 01:03:06 PM
What sucks is that if most beginners just download a bitcoin wallet off Google PlayStore/Apple AppStore, chances are, they'd land upon an exchange wallet or a custodial wallet. The way bitcoin/crypto is now, you need to learn by mistake first lol before actually ending up diving deeper.

https://chainsec.io/checklist

These are correct, as you mentioned them in the link you provided. This can be considered basic information that newbies entering this bitcoin business should know. I hope newbies can read this because it's really a big help.

And the safest thing is to keep it as much as possible in a ledger, trezor, or hardware wallet so that there are no chances of hackers actually entering the assets we hold, whether it's bitcoin or cryptocurrency.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not share your bitcoin holdings with everyone on: November 22, 2023, 12:52:26 PM
I was listening to a news that one of the relatives of a person kidnapped him and asked him for bitcoin in ransom. This happened because that person showed his bitcoin holdings to many of his relatives and news spread among them that he has lot of money invested in crypto. Though, finally funds were recovered from that guy but he could have even lost his life in the whole scenario. Thus, you should be careful with disclosing about your bitcoin holdings to everyone.

It's really nice that only you know the Bitcoin you have or other cryptocurrencies. Or if you have someone to trust, it's no one else but your husband, whom you know you can trust, or close family or friends.

That's a bit strange, using one's own relatives just for personal interest or greed. This is not the normal behavior of a bitcoin fanatic. This seems like a bad example for someone who believes in bitcoin in this business industry.
