161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money? on: March 09, 2018, 03:35:50 PM
Bitcoin is a store of value because it can operate without government.
Money don't.
You are thinking in fiat not in money, money used to be independent of governments, anyone with gold and silver could create their own coins out of those materials, but then the governments decided they were not trustable and created for themselves the monopoly of coinage, with the terrible consequences that has carried out.

I agree with you. And in time, the coinage will end because people will eventually realize that the real value is not in the money created by the governments. And it is hard to say that the government doesn't like that to happen. They are doing regulatory actions for security reasons base on the news and hopefully, it is truly for security. Situations are unpredictable most of these times.
162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT IF the GOVERNMENT wins over BITCOIN? on: March 09, 2018, 03:04:53 PM
There are several news about the government taking actions crypto. Not directly to Bitcoin but with the holders and cryptocurrency exchanges. I believe that it is still for security reasons but we can't deny that it has an effect to the market, at least a little, i guess. It is not FUD, it is a mere fact that the government are trying their best to regulate cryptocurrency on their own way. So what I said from the start of this topic, we must be ready and aware with everything that might happen because of this issue. We believe in Bitcoin, but we must know how to handle our money well. Invest in crypto, invest in real properties as well.

The governments are taking actions in a way of security, (I guess). They targeted the Bitcoin holders who have fake identities and the confiscated Bitcoins are being auctioned. That is just a sample of how they will treat cryptocurrency. You can search crimes that involved Bitcoin. I think that it is okay if the government has to regulate cryptocurrency but I hope that their objective is about security. And like what I said, I am still in crypto but as much as I can, I am going to invest in physical properties so once changes happen or whatever, I still have physical investments that I can share with my family.

Be ready and aware that 2018 is the year of regulatory reckoning. Countries around the world are trying to determine how they are going to treat cryptocurrencies. Securities and Exchanges Commission (SEC) has halted several ICOs and hinted at the need for greater crypto regulation.

I am into cryptocurrency because of freedom, I can't deny to myself that I have worries regarding this issue. And as an investor, I really have no choice but to stay with crypto once the governments around the world have control to cryptocurrencies (if that became possible).

So as much as we can, also invest with physical properties with what you've earned. For we don't know what will happen next with our money in the digital world.

This is not an advice. It's simply a shared idea.

How about you? What do you have in mind? Undecided

Exactly. The money of a wise person is evenly spread out onto many fields. It is very essential to learn to invest because the government have no power over it. One cannot rely on cryptocurrencies alone and must learn to handle his/her fiat money. I think this year will no be so different from last year because bitcoin is only keeping a low profile as of now and there are no potential threats that the government really bump into. Thanks for sharing your idea among others because you let them be aware of the current situation and what to do to avoid sudden bumps.

Finally, someone has fully understood my viewpoint on this topic.  Grin And you explained it better. Thank you so much. Well. I believe that there's no war between the government and Bitcoin. I just came up with the thought that there will be changes in case the reckoning has a result. I know I exaggerate this issue, I don't intend any FUD, I just want everyone to be awake and aware with what might happen. For it's better ready than sorry.

Once again, thank you. Smiley

I learned a lot from your replies. And my worries have changed into open ideas. You're all correct in any aspects. I am hopeful that the government's objective is for security. Whatever happens, I will remain an investor.Thank you, guys.

I am into cryptocurrency because of freedom, I can't deny to myself that I have worries regarding this issue.

it is understandable to be worried about what the government is going to do about bitcoin and what kind of regulations they are going to put in place, but at the same time i believe that it doesn't have to be against the "freedom" either. regulations can be good too, they can help the growth, they can prevent a lot of crimes and besides we are living in a world of regulations already. it is not such a bad thing to have it for bitcoin too as long as they are not ridiculous ones.

I do agree with you. I am open to regulations, and if that happens, I'm still an investor and a trader. What really bothers me is when the government set higher taxes to the exchange companies and that will affects us. My so-called "freedom" (  Cheesy ) will surely have limitation after that.
I appreciate your reply, it is an eye opener to me and to everyone.

i think government is not against crypto,  what they after is how to collect taxes and assurance that is really use in a good  purpose, so there is no war or any competition  on both parties,  hopefully a soon as possible they will unite and meet with one objective for the benefits of everybody.

Yes, that is the point. The government wants to have power to regulate cryptocurrencies. I know that Bitcoin is not linked to any territory or financial institution. So it will be impossible for the government to take control over Bitcoin. But their action might involve too many policies and taxes. And other strategy they might think.
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if the government win over Bitcoin? on: March 04, 2018, 05:03:19 PM
We find under a lot of pressure from the States. Governments have no interest in allowing people to freely dispose of their money. All of us are forcibly driven into the banks. Who doesn't have a Bank card now? After the appearance of bitcoin, people get out of control. This is the main reason that governments do not want to legalize cryptocurrencies.

You're right about that. Freedom is the main reason why many are into cryptocurrency. They have their own decisions over their money. Except with --uhm-- fees from exchanges.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if the government win over Bitcoin? on: March 04, 2018, 04:59:17 PM
They can't stop the network, but they can FUD the price around that's for sure. If the SEC, Trump or anyone else with power made a tweet that was pro-bitcoin it would pump, but it they made a negative tweet it would dump... who can't really deny this?

But as far as the technology goes, they can't stop it. The price drop would also be temporary. Bitcoin will always go to all time highs long term, without without government's approval. It will be a success that's embraced by governments, or it will be a success as an underground asset. And I doubt all governments will have the same opinion about bitcoin so you will always be able to move to a bitcoin-friendly country and buy your properties on there with it. Just be sure to be able to explain how you obtained your bitcoin. If you can't explain how you obtained them (with proof) then no government will allow you to buy anything with it other than small purchases able to go under the radar.

I totally agree with you. Thank you. It lessened my worries.

I am a believer of Bitcoin and I acquired physical investments because of it. I'm not saying that the government will win, but if someone play dirty with this regulatory issue, and do whatever they can over this, I will stay an investor. And keeping my family secured is still an objective.

173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Coins ? on: March 03, 2018, 03:35:18 AM
It also depends on your location. What is your country? Coinbase is the most popular internationally, I guess, if you're talking about buying BTC using fiat money. You can google the available exchange in your country. If you are Asian, some countries in Asia has so many local exchange that you can use.

But if you already have BTC and just looking for the right exchange to buy or trade with the cheapest price, I recommend Bit-Z. It's not as cheap as the cheapest but they have lower fees. . Trust me, Fees are eating your money.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Be AWARE. Mobile payment is coming our way. on: March 02, 2018, 06:09:05 PM
I watched a video earlier about Chinese people using mobile payment. I don't know if it was a practice years ago, but that news has caused me so much thinking.

Do you like the idea of paying using your mobile phone? What if it is Bitcoin? Can you track your daily expenses with the price changing every minute? Do you think this will be a good idea to give your child his/her allowance? What if the price went down fast in a sec? Will you use it while in a down price or will you choose to forget about buying your stuff instead of making a transaction with your funds in a low market price?

Are you prepared for this? Because the future has so much to offer. We should be more aware and ready.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: KFC now accepts Bitcoin! on: March 02, 2018, 05:21:30 PM
I just watched a video on twitter, 40% of Chinese people are currently using mobile payment. So it will be possible. Where all we have is our mobile phones. We just have small and for emergencies bills. I am making myself aware of that. That's why I am in crypto.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I used to own 10,000 bitcoin... here is how I lost it all. on: March 02, 2018, 05:39:02 AM
I won'y give you any advice since you don't want our sympathy. But I do like your story. I know it's a story of a bad experience, and spilling it all out is a good thing even in this kind of way. I did not lose thousands or hundreds of Bitcoins but I lost some money from bad strategy of trading way back at the time I was starting. And I wanna let others know it too. You are an inspiration even that caused you much depression. You are still alive. And many altcoins are just around. It's not too late. Ooops! I said I was not gonna give you advice, wish you great peace of mind, brother.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For how long will bitcoin exist on: February 28, 2018, 03:51:18 PM
As long as believers in Bitcoin exist. We. It's just a matter of the demand. But I'm still hoping that we can send Bitcoin even though internet is not present. Someday, somewhere, one believer will do something and influence others to invent a way to trade bitcoin without using the internet.
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: True BTC believers on: February 27, 2018, 08:59:34 AM
I am a believer of Bitcoin. I do buy then trade some to another coin. then get profit. Whenever I am converting my money to Bitcoin, I never missed to keep 0.01 in every transaction. It's like saving while believing that in time, Bitcoin can make me and my family live better than I ever thought.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 20 year old girl with 300 bitcoin, still in a pity situation. on: February 27, 2018, 08:51:58 AM
That's a sad story. Not because of the lost Bitcoin she had before but the relationship they had. Her sister must be stoned heart for not giving at least enough for her sister. How could someone let their sister, who gave you fortune, suffer everyday just to sustain her daily needs. That was an unbelievable person. When I get some profit in cryptocurrency, I always treat my siblings a dinner. And keep some so when they need money for emergency purposes, I have something to offer to them. I think, that's why I get lucky sometimes esp. in crypto, I always share what is given to me.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: As a beginner is it too late ? on: February 26, 2018, 04:08:14 PM
No it's not too late. Invest some. And invest some of your Bitcoin to a promising coin that can make your investment double. Next is profit then invest again in Bitcoin and vice versa. Until you'll realize that the small amount of BTC you invest is growing and growing. That's what I call Trading.
