Lille are actually not too bad for quite many weeks in the standings now. They didn't lose their last eight league matches but won only three of them as far as I can see now. The only thing they need is to start a winning streak now. And their next match is today against Lorient home. Lille are in a better shape than Lorient obviously now and they should be winning this match without having too much problem. Lorient haven't been getting any win for a long time period. And Lille defeated them in their last home match by 4-0. Maybe they wouldn't have that big gap now but they can still win.

And now, he is one of the biggest candidates to leave Real Madrid and he can be transferred for free now. As he is 32 years old, I think that he can still be very helpful for Tottenham. Therefore, I'd go for him instead of Traore. Or if they really want to sign a younger player, than they should be looking for talented wingers. |

Los Angeles Lakers played a home match against Utah Jazz this morning and it was really competitive at the same time. Lakers owe their 101-95 victory to Lebron James as always. He got 25 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and he was close to a triple-double. Even though Jazz were in a much better condition than them, they still got an important win. Lakers are still not that great of course as they are fully depending on Lebron. They need to get better than this otherwise their work would be difficult in the playoffs.

Manchester United are going to play one of their missing matches tomorrow night. Their next opponent is Brentford in an away match. In case Manchester United win this match, they will leave Arsenal behind and capture the sixth place in the standings. Taking this into account, they should play with all they have got I think. Something is still odd about them and we saw it in the Aston Villa match too. They couldn't protect their big goal advantage. This time, they should be able to finish the job successfully.

Tottenham is pushing for Adama Traore - they want a new winger in this transfer window. They are still trying to sell players to make it happen but they didn't really receive a lot of interest for players that they want to sell (Ndombele, Bergwijn and Alli).
That might be a blessing in disguise for them, I cannot understand why anybody would want to buy Traore. He's a player for the NFL, not for football. If they bring him, I would not be surprised at all if Conte threw him on the wingback position.
I don't understand either. A team like Tottenham should be looking for much better wingers to strengthen their squad. Adama Traore is not a solid winger just because he is quick. He is lacking in scoring and making assists a lot. And these are very important features for a good winger surely. I know that he is still 25 years old but I don't expect him to develop himself too much in the future. So it would be a waste of money for Tottenham in short. |

By the way, it was really good to watch the Betis - Sevilla match in the Copa del Rey also. Both teams played quite well but Betis had nearly double the shots Sevilla had. But they were bad at finding the target in terms of percentage. However, they still scored 2 of their 4 shots on target and managed to defeat and eliminate Sevilla also by a 2-1 result. Sevilla scored the first goal of the match and Betis made a really nice comeback. But if Sevilla won the match, I would have said that they deserved it too. Big effort from both sides.

I hoped to see Marseille defeating Lille yesterday but they were incapable of doing it. Actually, they could have done this after Lille got a red card earlier in the match. But they scored the equalizing goal so late that they had not much time left for the final whistle. I think that Marseille could have won this match if they were able to score earlier in the second half at least. And Nice must be happy about this result as they are maintaining being the 2nd in the standings now. Maybe Marseille have one missing match to be played but the point difference is two between them. It is not a big deal for Nice I mean.

Congratulations to Real Madrid on their great victory and winning the Super Cup title! I think that they totally deserved to win this match by their solid performance. However, I wouldn't like to say that Athletic Bilbao played poorly. They were not playing that well in the first half but they tried everything they could in the second half. But they still couldn't hinder this 2-0 loss. They had a chance in the last moments by a penalty but they wasted it. The last champions of the tournament were eliminated as a result.

Finally some team have managed to stop Inter's winning streak.  Atalanta had the match under control and didn't let Inter dominate it. Because if they did, then it would be inevitable for them to lose to Inter here. Inter are still unbeaten for so many weeks though but maybe this result could affect them a little badly but we will see. And they are in a fierce fight with especially Milan for the lead these days. And as for Milan, they have a match against Spezia home this evening. If they defeat Spezia, they will take the lead again from Inter. But Inter are still going to have one match missing. |

PSG got a comfortable win against Brest last night. They defeated Brest by 2-0 home and continued to win after some break. And today, Marseille will want to defeat Lille and keep the gap with PSG in the standings. In case they manage to do this, the gap is going to be 11 points. But Marseille are still going to have one more missing match. And this means that they can make it 8 points too. Lille are not playing like they were in the previous season. Considering that, I believe that Marseille have a good chance in front of them to become the winner.

I regret to say that but the Tottenham - Arsenal match has been postponed. It was going to be a great match if it was played. I'm still looking forward to watching it later. And as for the match last night between Aston Villa and Manchester United, I think that Manchester United missed a huge opportunity to win. They were showing a fascinating performance. But they still couldn't protect their 2-0 advantage. Aston Villa somehow made the comeback and drew with them by 2-2. And it was nice to see Coutinho scoring in his first match also.

Dortmund and Bayern Munich were just perfect on this week and they both won their matches very easily. Dortmund were hoping Bayern Munich to lose points maybe but completely the opposite happened. Bayern Munich didn't have any difficulty in destroying Koln. We watched a duel between Haaland and Lewandowski also. Haaland scored 2 goals and Lewandowski answered by making an hat-trick.

The biggest event today is obviously the Atalanta - Inter match. We all know already how great Inter have been performing for many weeks in the Serie A. They are literally unstoppable now. Some people expected Lazio to stop them but it didn't happen either. But Atalanta are performing much bigger than Lazio in this season. Taking this into account, I think that this can be the end of Inter's winning streak.

It has been ten minutes since the big match started. It is going on balanced for now. I wonder what Tuchel will do this time especially. Because in their last two head-to-head matches in Etihad, he got a great game plan and they defeated Manchester City. We could see a similar thing happening again here also. Golden State Warriors finally won a game. They had a really difficult game against Chicago Bulls last night. I was expecting a close result and it was really hard to predict which side could have been the winner too. Because Bulls also are one of the sensational teams of this season. But here in this game, Warriors were so determined to win that they obliterated Bulls by 138-96. Klay Thompson was rested. Stephen Curry didn't have a fascinating performance also. But thanks to a great team play, they still got a comfortable win.

Today is the day for the Copa del Rey matches in last 16 round. And the most delightful match could be Betis - Sevilla I think. Because they both are doing perfect in the La Liga nowadays. Sevilla are fighting for the league title and Betis are at the third position in the standings. I don't know how much each one of them will care about this tournament but they should care about it. Because especially Betis have not a chance for the league title so they can try their luck in this cup. And maybe they can even get past Sevilla too.

It was a really interesting day in the Coppa Italia for sure. Because we watched a perfect match between Napoli and Fiorentina firstly. Fiorentina were clearly the better playing team despite Napoli's being able to resist them in the first 90 minutes. But Napoli must be regretful for having the match in the extra time. Because Fiorentina simply destroyed them by 5-2 and it was a really embarrasing result for Napoli. And Milan also made a really nice comeback against Genoa and eliminated them by 3-1.

Atletico Madrid - Athletic Bilbao match in the Super Cup ended really interestingly. The first half was more balanced but in the second half things started changing. Atletico Madrid started to have a difficult time against Athletic Bilbao. However they still were the first team to score. But Athletic Bilbao were so dedicated that they found 2 goals by only a 4-minute gap between them. And they secured the 2-1 advantage till the end. I think they really deserved to qualify for the finale.

There is a great game tonight. Milwaukee Bucks are playing a home game against Golden State Warriors. I can't wait to watch this huge game as I'm going to be able to watch Klay Thompson too. And I know that he is still trying to adapt again but it won't take too much time hopefully. If he starts playing close to his performance before his injury, then we could watch a more amazing game tonight. And they could win the game too in that case.

And they are trying to find out what his demands are and whether he is thinking of leaving the team in the summer certainly. I believe Dortmund will change the situation on their own as market control. they have to reflect on the past, how they make mistaken by selling Lewandowski. When compare with Grealish, Dembele, and Coutinho, Haaland is better, Dortmund must put the price over 140 M Euro in the market. 75 M Euro is nothing for someone who has the future. Maybe he is still young and prone to injury which makes worries another club to bring him. I have no idea about the offers. As far as I know, Dortmund are just wondering about what Haaland is thinking of first of all. If he is likely to stay, then they would do their best to meet his demands. And the most critical point for them is to increase his release clause to a very big sum from around €75m. Because his current release clause is really nothing for rich and big clubs now. But I think he should leave and shouldn't waste his career at Dortmund for so many years. |
