hmm you are right, it just would be like a paper wallet, but still cool imho. It wouldnt allow the option to create a digital version of the stamp... like ETH can provide. |

No, it should be easier. You won't have to bother with creating your own token. You will just have to send quite a few transactions to addresses you generate. Each transaction might cost you 226 satoshi depending on the type of addresses you use and the fee rate (1 sat/byte assumption here). It will be much cheaper if you fund all stamps in one transaction.
What do you think, would be the estimated actual costs to fund 1000 adresses with 10K Satoshi? How can I calculate this? And how can I fund all adresses in one transaction? Thanks for you time! |

Hey Bob, the first crypto stamp had two parts.
one side had the design plus a QR code with the public key.
the other side had the private key hidden under a scratch field.
To be honest, it is not so much about the BTC which are stored on the stamp. It is more about the collectible item, getting more support for BTC from
official institutions like the Austrian Post office.
Generating multiple adresses shouldn't be the problem though. Thanks!

Not much and it just would be 1 BTC, but it would be great to give BTC this honor.
Ok, in technical terms, this would be more complicated than with ETH... and probably more expensive.
I was looking for a cheap solutions, but I afraid if I use 1 satoshi per byte, I am not sure, that the TX goes through... right?

Some of you might have noticed the success of the austrian crypto stamp based on Ethereum. I really liked it, but
I have to admit, I still would love to see a stamp based on BTC. Maybe some of you see it like me.
Well, I assume the Austrian Post decided to take ETH because the transaction fees are cheaper and maybe it is
easier to set up so many wallet adresses, etc...
I will have a meeting with the Vice-president of the Austrian Post and want to convince him to create a BTC stamp,
but I would have some questions to you.
What would be the fastest and easiest way to create 1000-100K BTC wallet adresses?
Is there an option to get cheaper TX fees by using the lightning network?
What are your thoughts and opinions???

Online prices are increasing. Not suprising given the fact that FDCs are probably much rarer than normal stamps. The numbers I got from the Austrian stamp service reach from 2500 in total (less than 2%) to ~1/10th (10%).
Do you have a breakdown on the amount there are each separate color? Would love to know the amount of Reds and Yellows out there on a FDC. Or how many FDC sets can be made. This is pretty hard to say Krogo. I tried to get this info so badly, but nobody knows.. not even the Austrian Post Collectors Society. I just know, there are two different types of FDCs PLUS - and this is really interesting - there are some very rare special editions. (signed by the artist, special editions for some collectors) I dig deeper and let you guys know, when I get more info! |

Ramelius name will be written in the history of crypto stamps. The only guy we know, who owns a 4 digit red stamp. There are only 4 red stamps which has 4 digit so what would each cost in a year or two? May be $15,000?  I think they would sell for more than 15k usd right now to be honest. to be honest, it doesn't really matter if there are 5 or 6 digits.... come on guys. a red one is a red one or are some collectors really that crazy  |

RED: 6 digits = 9 5 digits = 1 4 digits = none In my entire collection is just 1 blue 4 digit stamp  whatever. For me personally the First day stamped ones are the most important ones. |
