What add a whole bunch of poorly developed code into their codebase? let their coind's run around like chickens with their heads cutoff? Do we really need another Cryptsy? Isn't one shitty scam-coin-fuck-fest bad enough?

Whenever i leave the client open for more than a couple hours it suddenly looses all the blocks, goes back to the genesis block and gets stuck there. Is there a fix for this behaviour?
Are you using Windows? Mac OS 10.9

How do i get this on a Mac?
It's java, so you need the latest JRE as well as JDK. Then download the zip file. don't extract it, put it somwhere. Then in terminal you need to do: java -cp Nxt.zip Nxt Then in your browser go to: http://localhost:7875/

Since this is a 4000% markup on what your investment was, i am willing to meet you somewhere more in the middle. I will give you 0.25 BTC for 1 million NXT.

It totally doesn't say that there for me.... what am i doing wrong?
U have to wait until the very 1st transaction in ur account gets 1440 confirmations. Thanks! Is there some paper published that i can read that explains how the PoS system works? I still don't get how the network decides who is the lucky miner for each block. I get that it has to do with the probability based on how much NXT i own compared to the network total, but how is the PoS reward decided based on this? In my mind it would work something like this (but this is probably wrong). All the coins have a unique id. these IDs are all sequential. each block that is mined is assigned to one ID in the range of the lowest to the highest ID completely randomly. Therefor if you had more coins in that range then you would be more likely to be assigned a block to mine. But this seems strange, then the coins aren't divisible. Speaking of divisibility, are the coins really divisible, or is it just faked, by having 2 decimal places but really the coins are just INTs? thanks!

Where does it say "You will mine the next block in X time"? I don't see that anywhere.

Hey IGHOR, got any ideas why i can't connect to btcchina API? i would really love to be able to use your software with that exchange!
Press Alt+Shift+D and see debug viewer. Send debug info to my email from About dialog. I did this a few days ago. I will send the email again, maybe it went to your spam?

Hi all... I'm a complete newbie here and am wanting to do some mining of some of the alt currencies. I've signed up over at coinex.pw and downloaded cgminer. I tried configuring it, but when I go to run it, the command prompt window opens and closes again really fast.
Please help! What did I do wrong?
Go check out ypool.net Right now pool mining PTS is probably your best bet. The miner is on their site and instructions as well. Cheers

Uhhhhh did NXT just get pwned? I see a recent transaction of 1billion coins and all other transactions are now orphaned....
edit: no, i'm retarded, looks like it got bumped to a bad chain. deleted all the files and its working again.

This is the problem i have with POS currencies: http://88.198.210.245:7876/?request=getBalance&account=10105875265190846103has 10% of the NXT, and will just keep getting richer as time goes on and he/she/they collect 10% of all mined fees. After a while they will have 11% of all the coins, and will collect 11% of all mined fees. Wait long enough, and they will have all of the coins. Seriously, please explain to me why this isn't a problem? Edit: Also, nobody donated 10% of 21 BTC to that donation address. So i can only assume that this 10% stakeholder is most likely the dev himself. Speaking of which, how many coins of the 1billion went to the dev? I'm not trying to harass, i'm just asking for a bit of transparency here since i am now an investor as well.

How much NXT did the the original funders get per BTC? I'm wondering what people paid initially so that i can compare that to the prices it is listed at now.
EDIT: oh i see, a total of 21.62903652 BTC was donated, and that should be evenly distributed among the userbase, since there was 1 billion NXT created then that means that NXT initial cost was 0.00000002162904 BTC / NXT.
Most of the people on the forum have been selling it for about a 4650% markup at: 0.000001
So not cheap at all (in response to a post earlier in this thread). It just seems cheap.
