162  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] ShaLab on: May 13, 2012, 01:06:07 PM
I bet this is scam/joke.

1. User with no posts
2. Childish names of the product
3. Childish logo design on website
4. No real info
5. description "future of mining - industry grade scalable cryptographic infrastructure" what the hell does that mean ? we just want a profitable box that we can run at home not a whole infrastructure.
BFL didnt have any posts either just a website with false fgpa stats and price.
why are the product names childish? clearly shamini is the smallest/weakest and they built up exactly like BFL
Yup a circle with some lines it is makes it soooo childish. you must hate adidias's logo 3 lines that make a triangle
I agree at least BFL put up something even is it was false
sounds like he is saying its is easy update mining farms

(had to type this twice my browser refreshed the page in the middle of me typing :<)

finished reviewing you site.

It would be nice if you added an about us page. Include a little information about you and your partners if your willing to, definitely put the business address there again.

You should make it more clear that the coin must be mailed back to be able to redeem it. (not a big deal but on the exchange page you call it the "coin return form" twice but the name of the pdf is "tokenreturnform")

Its awfully nice of you to return back bitcoins at the highest sell price of the day. You should also include information about which site your getting your price from I assume mtgox?

Current Sell Price per 1 Bitcoin token:  $5.32
Current Sell price 1 Bitcoin token in Bitcoin: 1.08 Bitcoin
"sell" price should maybe change to "exchange" price?

the last thing I could think of is to add in the FAQ how to exhange/redeem a coin. make it clear that it must be mailed back to you.

 Shocked

can I get a free coin? Im in the USA. I like this idea. Now im starting to think banks/individual companies/governments could potentially mint bitcoins and keep the same amount in reserve to allow for a small amount of physical currency as well.
166  Economy / Speculation / Re: Recent spike in output volume on blockchain: Breakout imminent? on: May 12, 2012, 11:53:44 PM
I think that this is a great test for the Bitcoin feasibility on a larger scale.  This increase in transactions is nothing compared to the transaction volume once Bitcoin actually catches on.  Bitcoin is going to evolve.  The only guarantee in Bitcoin is change.
your right this is a good test. with the difficulty always adjusting to have 6 blocks solved an hour there are going to be tons and tons of transactions needing to be processed if bitcoins really does take off.
167  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANNOUNCE] BuyBIT - Unofficial .bit registrar on: May 12, 2012, 11:04:26 PM
I plan to try it once your finished. Its a great idea. Ease of use should also be in your mind as you continue to develop this. With any luck this will get more people using .bit domains.

404 Not Found

nginx/0.7.67

I'm getting 404's today.
Is it because it's the week-end ?

both us.glbse.com and glbse.com are working for me right now.
170  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] 2,500 PPT.D Pirate Pass Through Bonds! on: May 12, 2012, 03:25:18 AM
If it had triggered a minute early would you like it if we paid less than 1.28?  I wouldn't think so.
Not the same thing but equally bad
Also, if we paid 1.295 to the bond holders, that would enrich those who did get bonds, but not help people like mousepotato who missed out.
That is a good point too.

Have to hope for things to go smoother next week.  Smiley
171  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] 2,500 PPT.D Pirate Pass Through Bonds! on: May 12, 2012, 03:00:59 AM
I got different numbers then patrick mine are somewhat higher. Any chance you guys will come up with some "official" number the average moved by and buy back the bonds at that much more. so if your using patrick's number then buy then back at 1.295?

I was using 2 computers myself to prevent getting any errors. one I used us.glbse.com and the other I used glbse.com incase there would of been any sort of a problem. At least if its automated it can be blamed on PPT's fault.
172  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: GLBSE - request for next features on: May 12, 2012, 02:23:13 AM
an option to allow ipo owners to set up an automated sell time for the release of their bonds/shares.
173  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] 2,500 PPT.D Pirate Pass Through Bonds! on: May 12, 2012, 02:10:43 AM
really needs to be on an automatic timer set by GLBSE. okay I lied but it did jump from 1.095 to 1.099(which it went off at) after 10pm. So it was more like .05 which does make a difference

edit: you beat me to it. auto timer is the way to go

What kind of timer is it now?

GLBSE needs an option let PPT(or any ipo) set an option to sell 2500 bonds at 22:00 and then the GLBSE server would execute it itself.

I believe one of the PPT guys probably just issues a sell order for 2500@ 1BTC as close as possible to the time, but I could be wrong.
Thats the way I understand it as well. If thats not how it is then my apologies to those who are apart of PPT

176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [TIN FOIL HAT] Google subtly censoring bitcoin search results? + Wired on: May 11, 2012, 11:52:56 PM
This is actually due to google's recent "penguin" algorithm update. A lot of junk results rose to the top. Google it.

I have actually switched to Bing.com due to this update.
same here. I was so use to google old algorithm. hopefully it will change for the better once they are done, you can still see them tweaking the secret recipe.

I am getting this message when I try to PM:

You have exceeded the limit of 10 personal messages per hour.

Do I need to become a donator to get rid of this limitation? I wanted to be a donator anyway, so if there are instructions on how to do that, let me know. If I could have the restriction removed otherwise that'd be handy because I do most of my debt collection work via PM. Thanks!
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=38071.0. pretty much you need to PM theymos if you want to donate and get the donator status.
