Still waiting for my Elephant. Feeling gipted that others in my same batch got there's a month early. And I ordered in the first few hours, too. Still too slow, I guess. So I assume the rest of batch 1 hasn't shipped yet? Have they contacted you at all about it? (Also so far it's been a week, not a month, I am willing to bet that the rest of the batch will ship before it's a whole month) EDIT: Second also, just an fyi, but gypped is actually a racial slur against Romani. Not implying that's your intent there, just most people don't know that.

Any more of the Z9 minis ship yet or is it still just that first tiny portion of batch 1 out there?

Slushpool have just replied to me saying "Sure you can mine ZEC on Slushpool with an Antminer Z9 Mini...." Has anyone played with the freq ? I changed mine to 634, no hardware errors tiny temp increase and got it 14.4ksol/s
That does sound interesting.. how do i do that? Thanks The same way you do with most antminers, it's under Miner Configuration-->Advanced Settings

Suprnova, use their ccminer port and it'll work from my experience. Zhash.pro however has been working great for me. ~2.7 ZEN over the last 24 hrs. Just moved over to XSG there with success. While I was changing config I tested BTCP and HUSH on Zhash and those both worked without issue as well. Awesome, thank you! Updated the list.

Flypool confirmed and added to the confirmed list.

I would love to see flypool, nicehash, and prohashing tested. Thanks for all the knowledge you guys are sharing with your Z9's. It helps!
Flypool as on the "to test" list. Prohashing has so far not been working, and Nicehash has been working but with about 50% rejects, so hopefully will eventually be working. I update the first post whenever I see new info.

So currently the only pool you can mine ZEC on is Antpool?
Likely not, I'm sure there are many, that's just the only confirmed pool on this forum so far. If you have a specific pool you'd like tested, post it here; I'm mining in a small pool right now and don't want to bail on them at the moment, but I plan to do more testing Friday (and other forum members may want to do it too)...

And... People never learn with asic Ex bitcoin asic. Launch 1 Ths and then launch again 2 Ths, again launch 5 Ths and never stop to sell asic and got money from you Let's learn about difficulty Most of those launches represent changes to existing tech and available parts, and/or different upfront costs. That is the pattern all tech takes, not just ASICs.

I am really upset, how they are treating batch 1 customers. I would rather get a second miner with batch 2 than two soon to be expired coupons. I submitted a ticket to them asking for this and will write on twitter. I think everybody, who is upset about this should do that. Maybe they will change their policy for batch 1 owners, if they get enough pressure.
I don't think a second miner makes much sense, batch 1 users will have way more time with the lower difficulty rate than batch 2. But I DO think they should issue partial refunds instead of coupons.

Let it go. He'll never understand how gpu rigs work, he thinks they all make $2.
Sadly, I think you are right, but sometimes the reply/explanation is not just for the person you are responding to, but for the others who might read the thread. Not attacking him by saying that, all is good, but I've made several attempts to explain the pluses and minuses of rigs and how they work and he only seems to comprehend the minuses, so I just stopped trying on that specific point. Not a big deal.

I got it... antpool sends 3 or 4 payments then hold 1... this is really bad!! They eventually get around to it. My waller is almost caught up. Of course, my controller board died yesterday so I suppose it has time to.

Not sure if any of you have watched an interview with co-founder of ZEN about the 51% attack. I'm doing some investigating. I've never used Nicehash before. If anyone else has, can you answer a question for me with 100% assurance your answer is correct. If you're not 100% sure and still answer, please let us know you're not 100% sure when you do answer. The reason for my question involves "private" mining. Does Nicehash ask for personal information when one purchases hash from them to mine?If you watched this interview, maybe you'll understand why I'm asking that question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWJTC55tk-sBy the way, ZEN will be doing a number of things to "kill" private/secret mining. First step begins in July. You'll hear that in the video. No, they don't. They may when buying hashpower, but when selling your own you just point it at NH and put in your BTC wallet like any other pool (except, you know, BTC). I can't remember what they ask for when setting up a wallet with them, though (which cuts down on tx fees, especially if you use coinbase)...

You seem to think you are proving me wrong because a week ago you were making $29/day rather than $19-22/day, but that only makes the downward trend in earnings even worse... I shall refrain on commenting on what this says about your mental faculties. Your a legend in YOUR own mind, math challenged maybe.. not my place to judge. Meanwhile I'll keep taking the 6.50 which is more than your doing no doubt. You're comparing apples and oranges again, but even still it is not correct that the X3 out-earns a comparable costing GPU rig in all cases. I have a 4x RX 560 rig that does only bring in $2-$3/day depending on what I am mining (Ethash or CN-variants), but the GPUs also only cost $640 and it has been earning this amount - net of electricity, mind you - for several months now. Similarly, I have a 6x GTX 1060 rig that has been earning $7-$11/day mining ZEN (Equihash), so /more/ than your X3, and its GPUs cost $1560... In fact, both rigs have already paid for themselves while the GPUs are still selling used on ebay for not much less than what I paid for them; in contrast, a cursory glance of the ebay listings for the X3 shows one with a BIN price of $850, and after DERO forks next week even that will appear to be a princely sum for a not-terribly-attractive doorstopper. Finally, you are basically stuck with mining BCN now, which is pretty much the original shitcoin: it's been around for 6 years and the all time high price was less than 2 cents! Earlier in this thread you said - more than once, actually - that you have, "all the time in the world," to ROI on your X3; that is looking more and more like a prophetic statement with each passing day. But you keep yelling, "WRONG!" if it makes you feel better; I won't judge. Let it go. He'll never understand how gpu rigs work, he thinks they all make $2.

If Bitmain were really shipping used equipment, they would have clean it properly, which I don't think this is the case. None of my machine arrived in used condition, they're pristine. A3 for example, if they're ever turned on even single unit prior to first shipment (during announcement of sale), a single A3 have exceeded entire global Siacoin mining hash rate.
I suspect the person who got a dusty miner purchased it from a reseller that "tested" it before delivery I suspect they're full of shit.

It's the same guy that took down his false missleading video: "Zcash, Bitmains Gold Mine". I'am not saying he is lying, but we should take it with caution ..... It's possible that Bitmain that the first shipped units are indeed the "testing units" but i would like to have proof form an unbiased guy. That guy doesn't sound to legit to me, but as said, it's possible. I'll say it: he's lying. Why? I have no idea, but I don't care either.

All of the above said, at 475 freq it helped me shave 2-3 degrees off per card, which is well worth a $20 from me, donating now. Well done!

I'm with you on this one. Also, just some basics for this type of stuff--if it was a legit pic, why not link to the source? Why wouldn't the person be open about it? Why would they not have contacted the company with a complaint, and if so made that public too? For whatever complaints people may have about Bitmain, their support staff are, at the very least, pretty fucking fast to respond to messages, we'd have more information even if it was negative...

EDIT: I found the solution, it's even on page one, but I'm leaving this here as it would help other new folk for you to add that to the instruction post, and it should definitely be in the github readme. Otherwise, good work, it works well. ORIGINAL PROBLEM: Posted this to the github as well, but sharing here too: Tried running script following README and not found. CPed the file to match the command name (copied version removed the _new.c) and result was this: ./set_voltage: line 1: //: Permission denied ./set_voltage: line 2: //: Permission denied ./set_voltage: line 3: //: Permission denied ./set_voltage: line 4: //: Permission denied ./set_voltage: line 5: //: Permission denied ./set_voltage: line 6: //: Permission denied ./set_voltage: line 28: static: not found ./set_voltage: line 29: static: not found ./set_voltage: line 30: static: not found ./set_voltage: line 31: static: not found ./set_voltage: line 32: static: not found ./set_voltage: line 33: static: not found ./set_voltage: line 34: static: not found ./set_voltage: line 35: pthread_mutex_t: not found ./set_voltage: line 36: pthread_mutex_t: not found ./set_voltage: line 40: syntax error: unexpected "("

I'm in with you. However I think crypto prices are depressed now, don't wish to sell crypto for cheap. Hoping for $750 Eth/$9000 Btc in the next 4 weeks before jumping in to buy.
Yes, prices are at a lull. But I value the 'first to pay, first to receive' mantra that Bitmain claims to respect. Also, there is a risk that this batch sells out at this price. I also look at digital currency as an investment. I very VERY rarely use existing funds to purchase gear, I always buy the amount needed (except when BTC was over $15K). I realize mathematically this equates to the same gain/loss, but I look at it as paying the purchase price, not losing earnings. Plus it works out a lot better for the IRS.
