Which cgminer config is right for this? Do we need to put "stratum+" in front? cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+http://198.211.17.160:19996 or cgminer --scrypt -o http://198.211.17.160:19996CGMiner will auto change it to the right protocol if you just use http. correct answer. |

To anyone who already setup p2pool for altcoins,
Does anybody have experience for PoW+PoF alt coin? I have experience in making p2pool for many scrypt based PoW alt coin, but don't have any idea in making p2pool for PoW+PoF alt coin, I tired to make a p2pool for cosmoscoin, but failed, is it possible to make a p2pool for PoW+PoF coin?
Can someone help me to setup a p2pool for CosmosCoin?
And may I request someone to setup a push pool for ComosCoin? It's possible because there are many pools for Novacoin, Bitgem and Bottlecaps.

About as hard to edit it for any other coin. I think you just have to state the genesis block and the default ports somewhere. No, pools for POW+POF is different. So you base it off the p2pool for PoS coins instead of the original p2pool, obviously. I'm not goo at making p2pool, but it seems that novacoin, bitgem and bottlecaps don't have p2pool. |

trying to get a stratum pool setup, but unfortunately following BigVern's advice for BOT (also a PoW/PoS hybrid) doesn't seem to be working for this coin. Lots of accepted shares, but winning ones don't seem to be submitted to the network. Will keep digging into it and see.

Gotta agree with mullick, Dev you need to explain why something is innovative etc... "We are trying to make a real good coin." just isn't enough in this mess of altcoins.
CosmosCoin is based on novacoin, we modify the totalnumber, confirmation, block time, block reward and add transaction comment, as I say it's the most innovative coin, I mean it's the coin combined good features from other coins together, sorry if the word 'innovative' bother you. But I think combine good features of other coins together is still very innovative, do you agree? You have brought nothing new. There is no innovation. You put a few good things together into a coin. Did a half ass release. And are calling it the most innovative coin yet? Why 30 second block times? Are you aware that POS brings energy conservation? Why waste that with a 30 seconds block time orphan/ stale fest? We will see whats really going on when the block explorer is up I see, the block explorer can explain everything. |
