Hi, I'm gonna try. (It's no really creative but it gonna be easily implemented)
An Anonymous Poll / Voting / Election system :
- Each election / ballot gonna use a main Dero wallet Address
- Each Decision or Candidate gonna take one sub-Address.
- Each voters will use a sub-Address to hide their identity and use a fraction amount of Dero coin to vote. (amount isn't supposed to be important)
Using sub-addresses system you can hide your main Dero Address but and administrator could check, if any voters try to vote more than one time without necessarily retrieving the main Address.
So things like this could prevent days of ballots preparation, prevent fraud and reduce drastically the preparation cost (time and money) in a traditionally voting ballot.
Easily doable on blockchain itself using smart contracts with max vote per address set to 1 or N. More than 1 vote can be auto-rejected by SC. Thanks for your inputs. |

Can someone please explain to me (or point me towards information) about why the payments system with dero is ifferent than other cryptonight coins.
I've set up a pool and after finding our first block, we kept failing to pay miners due to tx issue (something about insufficient funds). I traced the problem and the issue is to do with the number of payees. You need to have enough balance in the pool wallet x2 to be able to pay properly for each mined block.
The return funds from a transaction need to come back before they can be spent again. This is different than other coins and I'm not sure why it is so can someone please help explain.
So if I mined 1 block with a reward of 30 and I owe two miner 15, I can only pay one of them until the unspent funds come back to my pool wallet. Is this the correct behavior?
ALSO: I've noticed all blocks only have one transaction in them - why is this?

Hi ALL, First transaction created & transferred using Golang Dero wallet and accepted by DERO Mainnet Network successfully. Transfer all from one wallet to another wallet was used. CryptoNote Protocol Golang implementation is completed. Testing/auditing in progress. CryptoNote Protocol is amazing & complex. Hi Capdero and Serena, I would like to ask something, can you please put an update in the directory http://seeds.dero.io/build/ of the file dero_windows_amd64.zip, for it is not working. I have done all the instructions you have made in the forums to sync, however I can not sync Thanks Above Golang DERO is for beta testing and will try to update binary also. Meanwhile src is updated and you can build on any GO system go get -u github.com/deroproject/derosuite/...For existing daily usages you should use only https://github.com/deroproject/dero as sending transactions and transfer functionality is missing in beta release. Though you can create wallet and check balances etc. |

Yo @CaptDero, did you change the priority for outgoing payments on the official pool because the last one sent to me occurred 40 minutes ago but it still hasn't shown up in the wallet and the daemon reports it is synced up.
Normally I wouldn't worry about this, but Windoze decided to update itself* on the computer I run my wallets on (no mining) and I've had a helluva time getting everything working again.
* - and yes, I stopped the Windows Update Service, but that no longer seems to be a sure-fire way of disabling updates.
EDIT - just as I posted this the transaction went through, so this message is moot. Leaving it here just in case anyone else wonders about their mining payments.

What a time to be alive  So you guys say it's now safer to withdraw more coins from stocks.exchange? I just tried a withdrawal of 50 and it went through. I tried 120 around an hour before that though and ran into an error. Capt. D wrote he had a successful withdrawal of 248 so I figured.. Anyway, I'll wait some more with that withdrawal.  After every withdrawal CryotoNote Protocol locks most of the wallet balance for next 10 blocks , Have updated exchange to approve withdrawal based on unlocked balance rather than wallet balance or use multiple wallets. |

So Serena tells me I lost coins while mining on the official pool while there were forking issues.
Have others experienced this? I continued mining during the forking crisis specifically because Capt Dero said that we should continue mining on the official pool then. I could have pointed my miners elsewhere but wanted to continue supporting the community during that period.
Now I seem to have lost 12.2 Dero. Not the end of the world, but annoying especially considering I thought it was safe and beneficial/supportive to be mining on the official pool then.
Hi @fellestreum, Pls can you PM me your wallet address and rough time period to dig deeper. Since I announced mined on official POOL only, Only Official chain was used and there seem to be no issue. But I will be glad to dig more. You are welcome and I am Sorry for Inconveniences during that period. I don't speak much about our upgrades/updates but just to speak specifically about fork issue, we have optimized the code so hope never to see any fork again. Also many may have noticed the chain syncing time reduced a lot. We hope to keep it less than 1 hour in future too. I was away and that was very bad time BUT bad time makes strong men and DERO has been much stronger now. After coming back, for next 72hrs we wrote new P2P layer for DERO and its working flawlessly since then. We are still working on P2P code to make it the most efficient and resilient P2P layer of any blockchain. We are working on every minute part step-by-step and you will see no shortcuts in DERO. Ignore them, DNS Checkpoints are not implemented and not required in DERO Network. |

Looks Exchange Deposits/Withdraw are working fine again. Hope to see no more issues again.
Successfully got withdrawal of 120 DERO at a time.
Update: Got Withdrawal error on 220 DERO. CryptoNote Protocol locks amount for next 10 blocks after every transfer. Looks Exchange need to approve withdrawal after calculating wallet unlocked balance rather than wallet balance, they should wait for approval for next 10 blocks till wallet gets balance back again for transfer.

No, i just reviewed commits of dero daemon and saw there no fixes regarding fork issue. Also last version of dero daemon (resynced from scratch) stll have Exception: cryptonote::BLOCK_DNE in log every 5 ms. Forking is a complex problem. It would be more efficient to address it after the switch to golang daemon. Agree and we are working to solve it completely. And network is running very stable since last few days. |

No, i just reviewed commits of dero daemon and saw there no fixes regarding fork issue. Also last version of dero daemon (resynced from scratch) stll have Exception: cryptonote::BLOCK_DNE in log every 5 ms. Pool operators must open port 18090 to network to reduce the forks issues. P2P traffic becomes easy if you open the port and you support the network also. |

I think at this point we need a full RCA from the devs as to why forks are happening constantly. I’d like to know the technical reason behind these issues. Then maybe I, or another community member could help fix it. Is there going to be a GUI wallet also or only Daemon first running and then wallet.cli?
