161  Economy / Services / Re: Signature campaign: earn 10TH worth of cloudy mining and 0.1 BTC bonus on: December 11, 2014, 08:42:54 PM
Hi Puppet, I would rate this as one of the least useless signature campaign.  Grin

I would be so proud of being part of it, BTW I don't know if multiple signatures are allowed.
Please let me know, in the meanwhile I've already added it to my signature space.

PS: Can't wait for the payday, 10TH are awesome!  Tongue

Honesty seems to be not so common in these days and even less in the BTC world.
What you did is admirable.

You, Sir, surely deserve a positive feedback on your trust page.
163  Other / Meta / Re: How to increase "Activity" on: December 10, 2014, 06:36:00 PM
I was not sure..

So let's take 23rd of Dec.

If someone will open an account 22nd of Dec and till 24th of Dec will post 28 posts (22.12 - 14 posts + 24.12 - 14 posts) - he should get 28 activity points in 3 days or even less.. Thats just my thoery Smiley

You're right, he would get 28 activity points in only few days (or even few hours) because he posted in 2 different periods.
To be more precise, it's because he posted at least one message in each of the 2 different periods (28 activity would be also reached with just 1 post on 22.12 and 27 posts on 24.12).

Activity is related to status, this is an unusual example of these two heroes agreeing about something
The next logical step would be to cut the status of people who haven't posted in X time interval.
You can't be a Hero if you've not posted the past week, you can't be Senior if you've not posted the past month. It'd help with the buying/hacking old accounts to prop scams.
This.
Hmm interesting.. But this can happen, or this is just talking?

It was just talking, at least until now.

Considering it hasn't been mentioned, don't forget that a brand new forum software is currently in development: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=167.0

And yes, it will have 2FA.

Any plans for implementing some sort of a 2FA in the new forum? (this is especially important for people conducting trades over the forum)
Yes, there will be 2FA.

165  Other / Meta / Re: Activity on: November 25, 2014, 08:45:17 PM
Ok. So to clarify:  Cheesy It is possible to get 140 activity points in 10 - two weeks periods (20 weeks), but there must be minimum one post in every two week period and sum of all posts must be 140 or more? yep?

Thanks for patience guys!!!  Grin

While waiting for an official answer from hilariousandco, I can say that yes, your math is right.

Activity increase/decrease by 14 every 2 weeks

Decrease? I guess it can happen only if you delete some posts, right?
166  Other / Meta / Re: Change username? on: November 25, 2014, 11:44:18 AM
no, unless you pay 50 BTC and become VIP
Was that  changed? It used to be 10 BTC donators that could change names. I was thinking of changing mine too.

If I well remember, it used to be 10 BTC for donator rank and 50 for VIP, but maybe only the latters can change their username.

EDIT:
Here is the donation page but it mentions only the ability to create a custom title for VIPs.
https://bitcointalk.org/donate.html

EDIT 2:
Whoops... I thought you were asking if the amount for donations was changed from 10 to 50 BTC, sorry!

167  Other / Meta / Re: Activity of a memeber on: November 25, 2014, 11:34:02 AM
What is a "memeber"?
I didn't even notice that.

"Aoccdrnig to rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe."

(well, there is one "e" too much, but you get the idea)

And why we see the same question repeated over and over every day Sad

Yep, it's boring but it seems we have had worse days.  Roll Eyes

169  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.01 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE on: November 24, 2014, 03:51:28 PM
Signature became such cheaper?

 Huh

Bitmixer has always paid out 0.00002*Activity from the beginning.
170  Other / Meta / Re: Activity of a memeber on: November 24, 2014, 02:49:18 PM
Yep , It's pretty simple anyway , You can get 14 Activity / 2 Weeks (Max) & the two weeks updates on Thursday (note that you should have posts.)
I think you mean it updates on Tuesday.
I really thought it's Thursday Shocked Thanks mate , EDITED my post

You know what? There'll be a day in which Activity updates on Thursday!  Tongue

(it updates every 1210000 seconds, i.e. 14 days, 6 minutes and 40 seconds)

The background-color trick is better than nothing but it can hide the text only if the content is... text! Smiley

You cannot spoiler, for example, an image.
172  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.01 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE on: October 29, 2014, 12:14:26 AM
I just tried to join.  I wonder if the server is down.  Everyone else seems to have gotten an instant payment but I didn't get any reply from the webform when I submitted my uid.  Any advice appreciated.

EDIT: I tried several other folk's uids as well.  I can't get a reply from https://bitmixer.io/signature.html?uid=XXXXX for any XXXXXX (it would seem).

Still having problems? At this moment, it's working as usual.
(when wondering about a server down, I find that websites like www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com can be very helpful).
173  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.01 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE on: October 28, 2014, 01:40:35 AM
How do I leave the campaign?  I thought it might detect my signature change automatically, but it hasn't.  I just changed today (to give you most of the 7 days that were prepaid).  I'd be happy to return the 0.01 BTC that I received as well.  What address to send it to?
Same here, wednesday is the last payday so I was thinking about changing tomorrow to another campaign since I don't want to trigger a new payout Smiley

This is what OP answered to a similar question:

I wrote this "ı will quit and try another sig campaign, I fulled 1 week, I don't want to get paid anymore, thank you"
but today I got payment, thank you but I am using another sig campaign, I can give you back if you PM me where should I sent back.
Not a problem. The paying bot have checked last 7 days for signature and paid. If you desire to return, you should to wait 7 days before the first payment. Just because we pay upfront.

BTW, the paying method of this campaign is outstanding, thanks OP!
174  Other / Meta / Re: Due to a recently-discovered flaw in the TLS and SSL protocols, you may want to on: October 15, 2014, 11:10:29 PM
This:

The POODLE vulnerability in TLS/SSL could have allowed a man-in-the-middle attacker to read encrypted forum traffic. For example, Tor exit nodes could have used this attack against anyone using Tor to access the forum. I disabled SSLv3 to prevent this attack in the future, and I logged everyone out to invalidate any possibly-compromised cookies. If you used a proxy or ISP that you don't absolutely trust to access the forum, then you should also change your password.

Most other sites are similarly affected.
175  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will you do when BTC is 1M each on: October 15, 2014, 03:07:34 AM
Wake up.
Why would you want to do such a thing? The dream seems to be going on just fine Smiley

Because that dream will clearly be a nightmare when BTC has reached 2M.  Smiley
176  Other / Meta / Re: poll on: October 03, 2014, 02:47:51 PM
I want to understand it because all my friend have bitcoin and every time we get together I can't relate to what they are talking  Grin

Sorry for the OT, but, nobody else had a little smile rising on his face while reading that? Smiley

Maybe things like that are more important than all the good news we've read in the past few months...

177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal to split from eBay in 2015 flotation on: October 01, 2014, 03:12:01 AM
I think that Paypal will remain the main payment for Ebay, at least for some time.
But that is just my speculation.

From the linked article:
Quote
“The industry landscape is changing, and each business faces different competitive opportunities and challenges.”
What I'm sure about, instead, is the fact that also bitcoin takes part in the reasons of this split, not just the recent announcement of Applepay.
178  Other / Meta / Re: [HELP]My account may be hacked on: September 17, 2014, 10:58:55 PM
I sew this on the recover template"The current date is <date>."
I have no idea about what is the "current data"

It isn't data, but date. It's the current calendar date. Smiley
For example, today you can fill that field with something like "17 September 2014" or "09-17-2014".
