161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Responsible gambling on: December 28, 2022, 05:43:37 PM
I consider myself a gambling addict. However, unlike gambling addicts, I'm aware of my addiction and I know how to control it. What I love most is playing poker and also sports betting. The latter is the one that screws me the most. Even though, I can get some real good profits,
sometimes I get wild and end up losing all of my money.

To avoid, running after the loss, I have set up the responsible gambling in my account and it helps me a lot to control the bad beats against my will to recharge my account and ending up losing it all again.

For me this has been working for quite some time and it was a way I found to prevent me from throwing money that I need away.

Any of you guys uses the responsible gambling feature? If so, what do you think about it? Is it helpful or does it only gives you a sense of control

I just made my bets on this 4 games, and fortunately I was able to hit each and every one of them and walked aways with some serious profit!

Pretty impressive, not gonna lie. Well done, enjoy your winnings.
Do you make such predictions regularly (I got back on this forum after a long break, so am a bit out of the loop)? If so, it might be worth looking out for them.

Thanks. Yeah, I have done some predictions over here for the world cup and I usually post everyweekend around 10 tips each Saturday and 10 more on sunday. Just check my posts regularly and you should find my predictions.

What is the Bitcoin Halving (Halvening)?
New bitcoins are issued by the Bitcoin network every 10 minutes. For the first four years of Bitcoin's existence, the number of new bitcoins issued every 10 minutes was 50. Every four years, this number is cut in half.

In 2012, the number of new bitcoins issued every 10 minutes dropped from 50 bitcoins to 25. In 2016, it dropped from 25 to 12.5. In the most recent May 11, 2020 halving, the reward dropped from 12.5 to 6.25 BTC per block.

In the upcoming 2024 halving, the reward will drop from 6.25 BTC per block to 3.125 BTC.

The next bitcoin halving is less than two years, to me, this period will be different because, for the first time, I really am paying attention to important aspects of btc and keeping myself updated as well.
I can't really say much about previous halving other than just reading about them (probably because I was not holding btc) but now is different because I have been accumulating in every little way I can.

So dear colleagues, What are your expectations? other than price increase  Cool
*Do you expect to see widespread adoption and acceptance?
*More involvement from big companies?
*More popular?
*Increase number of users?
*Any other.......

Im expecting to see pretty much the same as in the previous halving. We wont be seeing an immediate big price surge but the price should start to swing right before the halving. It should only gain upwards momemtum a few months later.

165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was Bitcoin project a failure after all ? on: December 27, 2022, 06:28:09 PM
I do not think Bitcoin has been a failure. On the contrary, 12 years after its release, Bitcoin had proven to have an amazing success. From having no value at all it went past 60k and it is already something that the world is aware. Bitcoin is now the symbol of freedom to many people. In 12 years there were several developments and conquers. And this was just the beginning as the best is still to come.
166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: OneShot Golf on gambling casinos? on: December 27, 2022, 02:57:24 PM
I keep seeing this game on TikTok(image below). has anyone tried the game? just to be clear, the app is not a gambling app but you need money in order to use their golf robot, they do have a free trial though. they have tournaments too where you can win prizes(not sure what the rewards are). I was planning on downloading it but it was unavailable in my country and from what I have read the game is only available in US and Canada.

anyway, the main reason I posted this here despite the app not being a gambling app is because the Idea of the game is good and I thought this could be a good game that can be included in gambling casinos one day.

I havent seen this game ever. It looks like it is something that was designed for the players to pay but with little to few chances of winning anything worth. Am I right?
167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: December 27, 2022, 08:52:06 AM
I guess that the world cup should be done in countries that are in need of developing. This could help the  countries apply the money in building structures that would benefit the country. This could be used to help developing countries.
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Qatar world cup Final Predictions on: December 26, 2022, 04:07:17 PM
I guess that a lot of us were expecting to see messi vs CR7 at the finals. It would be amazing and story would be written around it.
This would have been unlikely, unlikely based on the part of Portugal as it actually turned out but, a world cup final between Messi and Ronaldo would have been epic. Two GOATs, locked in an epic of having a chance to end there national careers with a trophy that have eluded both and most of all, one gets to deprive the other of the opportunity, it would have been sweet savory for history.
Still okay, Messi got it and that's enough for them no or should should say, Messi. Can't say Ronaldo is exactly happy for him, lol.

The France vs Argentina World Cup was already epic, how much more if it's Portugal vs Argentina, right? I'd say epic will be an understatement because that is the world's dream match-up especially for the avid football fans out there. Well, what we saw in the recent Qatar World Cup is already a treat because the match-up was so intense and for me, it's already the best World Cup.

Sadly, both Messi and CR7 might not be around anymore in the next world cup. Some are already saying that the latter's last dance will in the Euro '24.
Really? With how he performed this World Cup he's far from being weakened due to aging. Messi is still pretty much powerful and a good football player at that so if you could give me an explanation as to why people infer that he's gonna retire it would be great. The same can be said for CR7. Is he retiring? Is his loss really that devastating that he'd rather just quit football instead of trying for the next world cup? I think these two GOATS are still very much strong in their own right to quit playing. Maybe these are just speculations.

CR7 won't be playing in the Portuguese squad anymore. Not a chance. Not only for its age he would be an handicap for the team at the age of 42 as he already brought his sentence upon him due to his lack of behavior and poor respect for the Portuguese team and trainer. He will not even play one more game for the Portuguese team ever, this is almost certain.

As what I've said, I used the word might. Which also means that it's not yet guaranteed or sure that Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will retire in the speculated years.

I don't know if they will indeed retire soon but we all know that CR7 is already old enough to relax and enjoy what he achieved in his professional career as he will turn 38 years old this coming February 2023, that's why it's been said that Euro '24 will be his final dance. I mean, isn't it reasonable? CR7 will be almost 42 years old at that time if he will still play in the next World Cup which is in 2026. For Messi, maybe he will be playing at the next World Cup but that's not yet definite as of now.
169  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Accumulation phase is out!? on: December 26, 2022, 02:04:18 PM
Trading is at a slow state due to the holiday season. BTC is still trading below the $17k level. we can look at this in two positive perspectives:

1-If BTC is able to hold and got through the middle line of the bearish flag then we may see a pump up to the $18k-$18.5k level.
2- If the price starts moving down from here, it may test the $16k level again, and if it holds there, then we see an upside movement up to $18k from there.

If any of these propositions becomes true, then we may consider an accumulation phase for sure.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia on: December 26, 2022, 01:58:18 PM
We are looking at a fight where both fighters have been undefeated and both hold several knockout wins, so everything can happen. This will be a tough fight for both as each fighter will try to keep their status and go forward undefeated. I'm holding my grudge against this one and probably will not bet on this fight.
171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jermell Charlo vs Tim Tszyu - Jan 28, 2023 on: December 26, 2022, 12:29:21 PM
Charlo is considered as favourite and he will be defending his undefeated record, so he will have more motivation. He is known to be a fierce opponent, and he is sure not going to make things easy for Tszyu. On the other hand, the underdog is looking to get an advantage in this fight, so a defeat is out of the question. All in all, I expect to see a tight fight with no K.O. where Charlo may come out with the upper hand.

172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BOXING DAY PREDICTIONS on: December 26, 2022, 12:22:13 PM

Tottenham has been a team that concedes goals, in their last games it was really rare to see Tottenham do a game without conceding goals, with their very weak defense so I hope they concede a goal, but Tottenham's advantage is that they manage to score goals, so BTTS seems to me to be a good betting option

I have a question: do you intend to make a multi bet or will you make single bets?

Well, there's a certain risk involved in the options a choose to bet so I prefer to go with single bets. I would only go for multi-bets if I was looking for sure bets that had value. My strategy goes to look for the best odd (always above x2) for the most probable outcome, so using multi-bet would only increase the risk and it would not be worth it for the potential profits you could get.

BOXING DAY PREDICTIONS - DECEMBER, 26, 2022

Hey guys, in the aftermath of Christmas eve, the famous Boxing day is coming, so here are some tips!

Middlesbrough - Wigan

The home team is extremely motivated after winning four of the six games played in the league. In this match, they should try to add three more points. It is worth mentioning that Wigan Athletic is going through a rough phase, especially when playing away. That said, it will not be surprising to see Middlesbrough ending up winning.

Middlesbrough to WIN

Rotherham - Stoke

I expect to see a balanced match, however, the two teams have shown great football, with a very offensive strategy in place. This way I expect to see the two teams scoring.

Both Teams Score

Sunderland - Blackburn

Sunderland is playing with the comfort of their fans' support, however, Blackburn Rovers has achieved very interesting results. It is worth mentioning that Blackburn won the last two games against Sunderland. This way, it's expectable that the visiting club will be able to demonstrate its quality and end up winning at least a draw. That said, I will risk a value bet on this one.

Draw at Halftime

Brentford - Tottenham

Tottenham should be hard to crack, however, Brentford can take advantage of its fans' support to conquer another good result in this condition. This way, an open match is foreseen, with several goal opportunities, on both sides.

Both Teams Score

Let me know your predictions!

174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If your friend would tell you this... on: December 25, 2022, 01:13:35 PM
If your friend would tell you hey bud I have 10k in BTC lets try to make it 65k. You play on the casino for me.
How would you play? what would be your game pattren?

Id probably do 1 game of black (20k win) then one game of roullete with 10 numbers = $65k profit.

what would you do

I believe you would have better chances of that happening by avoiding games that basically rely upon luck. That is why I would certainly go for betting. At least, for me, that would be the wisest decision, as I usually can get some profits out of sports betting, especially soccer. I do hold excellent knowledge of soccer and am used to betting, but it would take time to turn 10k into 65k. It is not an easy task.
175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: December 24, 2022, 12:59:49 PM
This is one of the most expected fights for next year. While Spence is being called out to defend the WSB Title, Thurman will do everything he can to take the title away from Spence. I expect to see a tight fight but believe Spence will defend the title until the end and will not allow Thurman to have an easy job. That said, I believe Spence will hold his title and come up with a win from this fight

How in the world did SBF decide that gambling was the best course of action for recovering the funds? It seems to me that he has terrible friends around him.  Have you ever thought of gambling as way to recover your funds and pay your debts? Does this look like a case of compulsive gambling?

Source: https://www.pokcas.com/sam-bankman-fried-and-ftx-bankruptcy/

This is quite questionable. Why the hell SBF would put his money over gambling sites??? I see no point. While the references for the article you are pointing out are extremmely shaddy, I do not believe that SBF would be that stupid. In case this story is actually true, he is either having some serious gambling addiction issues or this may just well be only FUD as the media always tries to go after this sort of news and makes a lot in turn, so it is more possible to be FUD than reality.
177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where do you bet on wwe matches? on: December 24, 2022, 12:45:18 PM
Do you know any?

Few options that I came across either dead or removed wwe betting.

I guess it's not that widespread due to its scripted nature. But, it's never known to viewer.

That's actually an interesting question as I do not seem to find any casinos offering WWE betting. I have tried to find crypto related websites that would have that ooption and wasn't able to find any. I only know betting rooms hat do not accept cryptos as is the case with betway or 888 sports. What I do is I charge my PayPal with cryptos and then I can recharge these accounts if I want to do some WWE bets
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Must it be the last game? on: December 24, 2022, 11:25:14 AM
Hello fams

just as the title says why must it be the last game to always cut off the winning?
Have been playing sport bet and especially pools, whenever i predicts some matches upto 5, 8, 10 and maximum is 15, while pools is focused on draws maybe i might just select 3 draws or 6 draws it will always happened the last 1 or 2 games to cut off the match, while a maximum of 15 matches the last number 15 is always terminating all my entries.
Is there any way to do away with the last match that always cut the prediction and some you would be given a chances of cashing out but the last always ends the game not to be able to cashout.

Could you explain this please if there's any way we can do away with it lets begin the adjustments.

I guess that is normal to happen as everytime you go on to the next betting level your risk increases exponentialy but also the profits. Thing is that ist is much like the martingale method, you end up losing at a cetain point, so it is basically an issue of managing the right timing to quit gambling and get out with some profits rather then trying to double your winnings and ending up losing it all.
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are no cool games on: December 23, 2022, 11:06:18 PM
The technology today is bad only dice, roullete and the normal games like slots.

Its not competitive. Why not open games players vs players.

For example somethign similar to Tekken on a browser.

you can choose 4 characters.

Opponent can choose 4 characters.

Betting can be from 5$ to 300$. The winner of 3 rounds take all money.

The more hours you play the more skilled you get and can get confident in changing bet size.

I don't think you will find many Casinos interested in that. Not saying it is a bad idea but that it would involve a lot of effort for Casinos to develop and a lot of investment wasted. However, there may be a way to develop a betting place where you can bet in real live e-gaming where gamblers can even play and bet in themselves or the opponents.
It could something like connected to Twitct or rumble or something like that where you could invite players on the game to battles where you could live stream directly through one of these platforms. Interesting idea though...
180  Other / Off-topic / Re: Has your budget for gambling been affected by the festive season? on: December 23, 2022, 10:58:30 PM
It is the festive season, and it comes with a lot of expenses, both planned and unplanned. The planned expenses are usually higher than normal because marketers take advantage of the season and increase the prices of their commodities and you spend more that usually budget. The unplanned in this season is that you may have some visitors either family or friends and will have to spend some more money entertaining them. For people who have a strict budget for gambling, I would like to know if your budget for gambling has reduced, or if it remains the same?

I normally just charge my account once and then I keep playing with my winnings until they run out, as I never withdraw all the winnings.
Of course, sometimes I need to charge my account again as I ended up losing the stash, but when I do, I always charge the same amount regardless of the season or festivities.
Now if an unplanned event happens and I need to shorten my expenses, I opt for not recharging my account and waiting for better days
