161  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is Bitcoin designed to last forever? on: September 28, 2016, 09:28:41 PM
I guess its designed to stay alive forever because the miner fee is adjustable and that will jsut take over when the block reward becomes too low for the miners. Atleast i hope it stays alive forever.
162  Other / Off-topic / Re: Getting My First Whole Bitcoin? on: September 28, 2016, 01:40:24 AM

163  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in btc casinos on: September 25, 2016, 12:51:16 PM
Hello!

I've got a few coins on the side and I'd like to make them work.
Which gambling site do you advise me to invest in the bankroll?
if i was in your position and was set on investing for sure, then moneypot would be the place. but i dont think the risk involved with the small amount you earn is worth it tbh.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEver keep all your coins on an exchange on: September 25, 2016, 12:45:59 PM
I think the reason people still keep their coins on an exchange is that they don't want to lose that small part of their money which they should pay for withdrawing. This approach is not a good one though. You should easily accept losing a small fraction of your money in order to not lose much more.

no that's not it.
a lot of traders who you see around here are day traders and that means they are always active on an exchange site making trades so this means they always have an open order somewhere on the exchanger orderbook and the hacks and running aways happen suddenly there is no warning so you can withdraw before that.
agreed, the main reason i keep a percentage of my bitcoins on an exchange is to be able to quickly convert it to fiat if i see a good oppurtunity. if i had that on my wallet then loading to exchange would take atleast an hour due to confirmations.
165  Economy / Digital goods / Re: 💳 Virtual VISA Card 💵 0.50$ 🚀 Instant delivery 🅿️ PayPal-compatible on: September 25, 2016, 12:37:30 PM

Received a generous gift code from op and tried it out on the website. the sign up process was extremely simple and the site page looks and feels of high quality. After redeeming the code, the balance was added to my wallet which i could then use to add to a card. and the card even shows you a list of transactions, meaning its perfect for Paypal. Overall i found no negatives on the site  Cheesy
166  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Paypal a scam? on: September 24, 2016, 03:18:10 PM
I have had an issue with Paypal and while I was trying to look for a solution on the internet, I came across this website (https://www.consumeraffairs.com/online/paypal_02.html) where everybody is complaining about Paypal. Most of the complains were actually similar to the one that I have. I thought Paypal is a credible company but now I have started feeling worried about my funds stuck in the accounts.
paypal is a legit company that has been around for many many years. they do limit accounts alot but ive never seen a case where they have proved of fraud. imo paypal is a completely legit company that just handles things a bit wrong.

I was able to confirm a PayPal account successfully using this card. I will certainly stick around for a long time as a user of this credit card.
this is the main reason i would use this card, glad to see it works.

pm'ed you to get the $1 bonus.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin? on: September 24, 2016, 03:10:31 PM
If anyone has a method to get that, please tell me :-) It'd be a hell of a job to figure out how many people are using bitcoin because the bitcoin transactions are anonym. However, you could have a rough guess from the number of people who're active in the bitcoin forums.
a good method would be to look at the average daily transactions and find out how often a bitcoin user sends a transaction and ultiply that frequenncy by the average daily number.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is earning bitcoin Boring? on: September 24, 2016, 01:55:57 PM
it really depends on how u earn it tbh, if you earn it through signature campaigns then you can talk about bitcoin which is something you enjoy and ear it at the while time so signature campaigns isnt boring to me.
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What wallets do you use and why? on: September 16, 2016, 10:21:02 PM
i mainly use 3 wallets also, copay, coinbase and a paper wallet. the paper wallet is for mainly saving funds, the coinbase one is for daily spending and receiving and the copay one kind of has the same purpose as my coinbase one.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin WiFi T-shirt on: September 11, 2016, 01:03:09 PM
i like the design on the shirt but have no idea what bitcoin wifi is lol?. If its a project of yours, i recommend you put a qr code on the shirt so people can look into your site and maybe try it out.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone watching Mr Robot? on: September 11, 2016, 12:51:47 PM
Just wondering who here is watching Mr Robot? Bitcoin is all over it, especially in the 2nd season! Surprised there isn't a shitty alt called E coin yet.
i saw a bunch of episodes in the first season and didnt really enjoy the show. the story was nice but the episodes were just moving way too slow for me. Half the episodes was him getting high and sleeping. Embarrassed
173  Economy / Speculation / Re: We would be 1000+ if bitfinex didn't happen on: September 11, 2016, 12:48:24 PM
All the idiots that still don't own any bitcoin will keep going FOMO every time it goes up. They are pussies scared to get in and once it starts rising they get in quick.

We will be at 1000 next year granted.
if the bitfinex thing didnt happen, we would be higher than 600ish but i dont believe that we would be around 1000.that number is way to high for the numbers of bitcoin in circulation.my guess is we wold have been around 650-700.
174  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is The Best site to buy BitCoin? on: September 11, 2016, 12:44:52 PM
if you are just looking to simply just buy bitcoin then i recommend coinbase. they are fairly trusted and do accept credit cards. but selling btc on coinbase varies betwee countries, like canada isnt able to sell yet.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a gift for a baby? on: September 09, 2016, 01:58:00 AM
i doubt a baby would even enjoy getting bitcoin as a gift. you could give itto the parents to get started with a college fund or something, or show them how to set it up.
176  Other / Archival / Re: Do you use bitcoin as currency or investment? on: August 23, 2016, 05:13:00 PM
Do you use bitcoin as currency? Or you use bitcoin as investment? Or both?
I use bitcoin as currency and i never sell my bitcoin, but i prefer to use bitcoin when price is rising Grin

So, how about you?
i mainly use bitcoin as an investment. but i do keep around 10% of my coins in my coinbase hot wallet that i do spend often. so 90% investment and 10% currency.
177  Other / Off-topic / Re: Old people earning bitcoins on: August 23, 2016, 12:52:28 AM
Hello guys,do anyone here know's some old person's who actually make bitcoins by investing them or i dont know,by signature campaining ?
I was wondering about it for some time,i just never heard about someone older than 45 years and making bitcoins.
i cant think of a good way to earn btc online for old people to be honest. but if you're around 45 you should be able to get a real life job and use your earnings to buy btc,
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is virtual currency for criminal on: August 16, 2016, 01:20:54 PM
first of all, bitcoin is a "Digital" currency not virtual Tongue, and secondly its accessible to everyone, whether a criminal decides to use it is upto them. It in no way endorses criminals.
179  Economy / Speculation / Re: Kim Dotcom Predict 2000$ per Bitcoin ??!! on: August 12, 2016, 12:44:37 PM
wait what exactly is the point of linking a file upload to a bitcoin transaction? to make sure it exists? idk seems pretty pointless to me
180  Economy / Services / Re: nimirum signature campaign | up to 0.025 BTC per week on: August 11, 2016, 01:23:56 PM
Escrow?
Price is really tempting but then its acostum here in bitcointalk to discuss escrow for every promised payments. Maybe you should consider talking to the reputable ones.
lol the price is not really tempting, you might be thinking 0.004 per post but its actually 0.004 per week for a minimum of 100 posts.
edit: oops nvm its 20minimum per week.
