Well, right now Apple's market cap is 472.35 billion USD. Divide that by 21 million BTC, and you get 22,564.28 per BTC. Seems like potential.
Alright, $22,564 seems like a figure that can achieve right? we will know that 10 years later...

Mastercoin is a pretty cool idea, a protocol being built on top of bitcoin, not another alt coin!
Sorry but I don't get you, Mastercoin is another coin like Bitcoin which you can spend and use em?

Lee says there aren’t many use cases for Bitcoin in China beyond investment and speculation. “China is lagging behind in terms of use cases for businesses, unlike the U.S. and the Western world,” says Lee. “We recognize that and it’s ok. When China’s ready, we’ll be there to serve that market.”
*Bows down to Bobby Lee* China is about keeping things cheap. I mean no one likes to get a yuan that is all dirty, but they have bank cards for this. Furthermore, you won't be able to use bitcoins at the smaller places where you are likely to get a dirty yuan note. Those smaller shops won't be able to afford bitcoin terminals or to run a computer 24/7 without the risk of someone running off with their laptop. Theft is common... I've been to China, and those dirty notes, well you don't know where they have been. My western tour group made fun of the fact that it may have been used as toilet paper as it is a luxury in China's public toilets. So my opinion is that the uptake in China will be severely limited even without government intervention. If the government intervenes, we can only guess what disaster awaits. Either way, I trust Bobby Lee's judgment. Zimbabwe used their currency as toilet paper, I heard rumours that the currency is cheaper then the toilet paper

In the long run, gold and silver will ran out.. Thats how Bitcoin and most altcoin is working...
That's if you only use the amount of gold on earth, if you think humans are destined to be stuck on this planet forever, then yes you are correct, however in the long run this is unlikely. The total amount of gold in the universe is 66 trillion times the mass of the sun. Granted we will probably never retrieve all of this gold, or even a small fraction of it, but it will take a very long time until humans have no way to produce more gold. Well, 66 trillion times the mass of sun is still not unlimited supply like USD....

Any cheap monitor that is 25 Inch wide...
Why 25 Inch? Depending on the space you have in your house depends on the size which is best. Although, it's debatable on what brand is the best. But, there is no debate that LED is the best graphical and long term choice. I agree, but also i love higher size monitors but with good specs Same here, I am having 28 inch monitor...

But is it worth it?
What's the price on one of these? And how long before it pays off?
Is it steady or does it change daily to mine?
You need to give more information then this like what is your electricity charges.....

Mainly since bitcoin is anonymoys i dont liek how mtgox or others ask for ID scans etc.
Where about BTC-E you can exchange Bitcoisn ot USD withoug leaving your ID?
ANd yes i know that ban kacocunt/credit card/paxum etc still leaves footprint but at least itsn ot ID.
Avoid using Mtgox, even after you have your ID scans and get verified, it is still very hard to get money out of it ...

I put a Kill-a-watt on my rig today. I'm running one 290x and one normal 290. Together there running around 650 watts.
what are your hash rates at that power draw? 1680Kh They run really hot as well, doubt they would be stable at room temp even with good fans. Can you break down of each of the graphic card hash rate? I am interested to know too, but I believe 290x is 900 hash and 290 is 800 hash so its about 1700...

Well, looking at the hashrate (finally) hitting a wall, I can only speculate that BFL have ended shipping en masse...
So, the world is taking a breath and getting ready for Gen2 ASIC? Or is this there something I missed with the reason the hashrate stalled?
Hope they delay gen 2 ASIC, I am pretty sure gen 1 ASIC will be useless by then ..

All right, got it backed up and deleting the "blk..." files seemed to get it going. It should only take a week or two to download the whole quarter of a million blocks again. Hopefully, it will work.
Thanks.
You reinstalled the Bitcoin-qt program?
