Anyone else think ELIX is trying to do too much? I think it should either be a crowd funding platform or a loan platform but not both. Its either a lending tree or a kickstarter. I think it should be just a loan platform.
I disagree, a loan is a loan, and ideally we want the crowd funding platform - lets say a business wants a loan but their bank offers a 2% interest rate, Elixir with its crowdfunding feature can offer a loan at 1.5-1.8% (For example) - So a bunch of Elixians crowdfund - the business is happy, Elixians are happy, the Bank on the other hand might not be too happy -- flash forward a few months and banks want to buy and hodl Elixir to distribute cheaper loans to each other. things that do 2 things are awesome example, Ethereum is blockchain + smart contracts. google was a search engine, now makes phones, email, cloud storage, etc. Amazon - 2 day shipping, video streaming, cloud storage, marketplace i could go on but you get the picture totally agree crowdfunding and loan can work together to make the platform grow, crowfunding plateform needs money to create project loans on the over and can help to make this money flow in, lending platform as we know it in the cryptoworld are more ponzy scheme than tangible loan. if the loaning interest came from people needing money and not new loaners it can be a healthy platform. |

For what i have read, yes Current is an existing plateforme that regroups offers from different network (youtube, Betflix,...) in one place. some probably do not deserve to have as much gain as bitcoin give them, but all those primary believer have hold them all the way long. you need faith for that. and it was harder to not lose them at that time. how many story have we eard about people having lose millions of bitcoin due to lack of security, hardware lose and so.
So just to have been able to keep them all this way and keep faith in it. they deserve to be wealthy. the only point that can be discuss his the scale of their wealth anf the fact that they use it to control the market. and that's it not healthy.

bitcoin has as everyone supposed two way to react
1; following the overall trends
2 ; being the exit door of wealth
for me it shoudl be the second has bitcoin was created so no one can falsify money and as you probably know every crisis is due to a somewhat ponzi scheme. bank and traders buying stuff with money that they don't own or that people owned them.
the problem is we have open futur for bitcoin and that's a way of allowing those same guys to make their stuff with bitcoin.
and that's were it become a problems, those futur will probably collapse at the same time and let bitcoin price goes to parity with the value of real owner put it, probably less than where futur pump it. but i don't think it will collapse as much of the rest.
and the other a cryptocurrency crisis can happend but i don't think it will be onthe same calendar anyway.

We don't need to burn any coins, as the total supply is low enough, with a lower supply you will have a very unstable price as the price can go up and down a lot when someone will sell or buy let's say, 100K coins. Burning token is noce for compagnies wanting to rebuy their share, it didn't has any purpose in the mvmt case. other than trying to make the price growth artificially. |

Does anyone feels that waves is losing blockchain race with neo, ada, zil, wan, and many more trying to fill that spot?
I am slightly having the same sensation. Last summer waves was looking like the next really big thing - but it is kind of not keeping up with the expectations while other projects are advancing. they achieve every deadline fixed last year. it's true that regarding third party implantation they are loosing but they decided at the beginning to develope smart contract once everything was ready and that's what they have done. It's true that price evolution was not like i expected it regarding other project. but they have big partnership and a more reliable legal framework. I still think price will go crazy once smart contract and money from third party ICO will flow in. |

Though Paymon team members got 5/5 on ico bench  I wonder is that the final project and team evaluation or how does icobench operates? Few days ago there is no Paymon page on Icobench. There is no too many people in Paymon telegram chats. For now they have 6k people telegram and 4.7 on Icobench. Nice movement for project with $8kk hardcap =) i can stay it stay under radar, that's why i didn't pay attention about it. but it seems to change few days before the ico. it's a good things, people will more easily buy at ico following the recent progress |

I guess a lot of people would have similar surprise with old wallets full of coins. Even I, but unfortunatelly I have opened that wallet far too early and dumped the coin for little, so I lost the occasion to become a millionaire.
same for me already go threw all my old wallet and harddisk nothing left :/ |
