We figured that it were necessary, as we do need a source of income once we launch the crowdfunding platform, with the monthly costs to run it and the lack of fees. The number may change if deemed necessary though.

Yep, we were testing the network extensively. If you look at the total number of coins found, though, it approximates ~5%, as stated in the premine.
