161  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price down and opportunities on: June 17, 2018, 05:46:55 PM
The only bad thing of this bear market is that if you do not have money you can not take this a new opportunity and you can not keep accumulating even more

So lesson learnt is that we must keep some spare cash in our pocket to avail such exciting opportunities. Another thing to note is never buy any coin at one single rate, always buy in chunks at different rates. This helps in getting good average buying price.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Neo, Why is it still falling? on: June 17, 2018, 12:14:01 PM
There are a lot of ICOs involved in Neo, but why is it still dropping?

It's not about NEO dear, the price of BTC along with all altcoin is on decline and NEO is just another altcoin. Price of NEO is very attractive, it went to 150 US dollars high in Jan this year and is now at 38. Maybe a good time to accumulate this gem.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lets be careful on what we are investing on: June 17, 2018, 12:06:49 PM
Read this several minutes ago. We must be vigilant on what we are investing and must do some research or study first if the project that we wanted to join is legit or not. So sad that there are some ICOs who are just making money for their own sake. Because of this issues, people becomes scared of cryptocurrencies and thinks that other cryptos that are legit are scams too.

http://www.livebitcoinnews.com/denaro-ico-raises-8-7m-and-goes-up-in-smoke/

ICOs and scams are going hand in hand. While many made fortunes with ICOs, there are many who lost their investment due to ICO scam/fraud. ICO market is open for everyone and you can't deny anyone from launching his ICO. There is no nobody who can take care of your ICO investment except you. Please do proper research before jumping into any ICO as chances of recovery are zero in case an ICO turns out to be a scam or fraud.
164  Economy / Speculation / BTC price down and opportunities on: June 17, 2018, 11:38:35 AM
The ironies of BTC and altcoin investors/holders continues to increase as BTC is heading towards its "ALL TIME LOW" for 2018. While some are sad due to this downfall, there are many who are building their portfolios due to low and attractive crypto coin prices. Maybe the crypto market is fueling for yet another drastic bullish run as seen in 2017.

165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So, Ukraine is the Latest Bitcoin Friendly Country? on: June 17, 2018, 11:23:11 AM
I heard Ukraine is going to legalize the Bitcoin. The government in Kiev has taken concrete steps to legalize cryptocurrency mining. Ukraine’s Minister of Economy has ordered several ministries, agencies, and the National Bank to prepare the documents necessary to include mining in the state register of economic activities. This is a pleasure, Thanks Ukraine government. Welcome bitcoin friendly country list .

I extracted following from article you shared.
Quote
Three drafts have been introduced in the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine parliament) since October.
  • The first bill defines cryptocurrency as property that can be exchanged for goods and services.
  • The second draft law states that cryptos are financial assets.
  • A third, supplementary bill amends the tax code to introduce tax exemptions for profits and incomes from crypto trading and mining.
Some reports in February suggested that Ukrainian legislators may separate crypto mining and cryptocurrencies in the new legislation.
Let Ukraine government pass these bills first before we place them in the crypto friendly country list.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Viola.AI - World's First AI Driven Marketplace in Dating and Relationship on: June 17, 2018, 11:11:03 AM
Can you please tell how your ICO differs from already existing dating platforms like DateCoin. How your platform will address the biggest problem of dating industry i.e. every user ID is real and is verified.

168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook bans cryptocurrency ads.. on: June 17, 2018, 10:39:39 AM
To me I feel that facebook is being threatened by the power this new technology offers. They are adjusting to the institutions who see cryptocurrency as a threat to their monopoly. Maybe they know that a new financial order is about to emerge and are doing all they can to stop it.

You are right. Data is the new currency of 21st century and is used by big technology giants to monetize for their own benefits giving nothing in return to the end user. They are seeing the blockchain technology a threat to their business and this move is just to secure future of their business.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bill gates says cryptocurrency is bad on: June 17, 2018, 10:33:02 AM
In his own reddit AskMeEverything page, https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/80ow6w/im_bill_gates_cochair_of_the_bill_melinda_gates/

He answers about cryptocurrency stating
“The main feature of crypto currencies is their anonymity. I don't think this is a good thing. The Government’s ability to find money laundering and tax evasion and terrorist funding is a good thing. Right now crypto currencies are used for buying fentanyl and other drugs so it is a rare technology that has caused deaths in a fairly direct way. I think the speculative wave around ICOs and crypto currencies is super risky for those who go long.”

He isn't wrong in his sense, if the cryptocurrency is to have a future, they should be able to create an environment of trust between themselves and the authorities.

Just like all other technologies, cryptocurrency has also both good and bad sides. Fentanyl and other drugs can also be bought using fiat currency. Take the example of guns, for instance, they can also be used to shoot innocent people but does that mean we stop keeping guns for our safety?
The anonymous feature is also a big advantage to carry out transactions in areas where crime rate is high.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin or ETH for long term on: June 17, 2018, 07:47:05 AM
If anything can challenge BTC, in the long run, it will be Eth. Majority of ICOs are residing on ethereum blockchain and if few of them went successful we will see a price boom in Ethereum. Eth is most undervalued coin right now and its ideal time to accumulate it for long-term return. Keep BTC along with Eth in your portfolio, they both are a gem.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of altcoins without Bitcoin on: June 17, 2018, 05:39:28 AM
Hello!

With the recent decrease in value of Bitcoin, the value of almost all the altcoins dropped too.
Now BTC is rising again and so are the altcoins.

I am thinking that if Bitcoin ever crashes, I mean completely drops to a very low value and when doesn't increase anymore.
Then the altcoins are going to drop too and won't have a high value anymore too, which means the cryptocurrency world will die.

Is my statement just nonsense or can it be correct?

I'm curious of what you all think will happen to the altcoins if BTC crashes for real.

Being the pioneer of cryptocurrency, BTC still rules the cryptocurrency market and its up and down controls the overall market. If BTC crashes, then altcoins will also crash. We are seeing very strong resistance at 6000 USD and if that breaks we will see some new All Time Low of 2018. But don't think that BTC will ever be eliminated, it has just begun his journey and ha a long way to go.
172  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy bitcoin! on: June 17, 2018, 05:21:07 AM
I see the current DIP as buy call. Reason is:-
Quote
Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful - Warren Buffett
This is applicable to the current situation where majority of investors are not willing to buy BTC due to day by day price decline. I don't see there is much risk in buying BTC at the current price.
173  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is market down due to Eid of muslims? on: June 17, 2018, 05:12:22 AM
Crypto market is down since the start of this year and I don't think Eid festival has something to do with the current price decline. BTC went down to 6611 USD on 07 Apr 2018 (source).
Just HODL and don't worry. We will see bullish rally very soon.
174  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin price can be manipulate by the others? on: June 17, 2018, 04:56:03 AM
from january 2018, bitcoin price is always changing, a suddenly increased but after a second deep dropped will surly exist. it is the vise versa of bitcoin price last year (2017). until now the price of bitcoin from january upto now (june) is still dropping. so i was wondering if theres a group of people behind this bitcoin price drop?

Seeing the enormous growth of 2017 correction was inevitable and that's what crypto market is undergoing right now. Up and downs are normal, there is no market that only goes in the upward direction.
BTC is decentralized and distributed currency and cannot be controlled by few individuals, but over the period of time we have Whales in BTC that have the major chunk of BTC and they have the capacity to manipulate the market up to some extent.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is For Risk Takers on: June 16, 2018, 06:45:41 PM
As they say, take risk either you will win or learn something. Many have made fortunes by taking risk in the crypto market. I would suggest risk mixed with knowledge is the best combination for investing in the crypto market.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This guy has lost 103 Bitcoins on: June 16, 2018, 06:22:43 PM
R.I.P all these 103 BTC. There isn't much he can do now to recover his lost BTC. There are many such BTC lost on the blockchain, perhaps one of the dark side of cryptocurrency

If you look at the team behind the VALOREM foundation, they all have experience in their relevant fields and by looking at there LinkedIn profiles they all look very organic. i must say the project looks very much legitimate and we can invest without any fear of fraud or scam.

180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO][ANN] INTIVA TOKEN - TOKENIZING THE MEDICAL ECONOMY 👩‍⚕️🏥 💉 on: June 15, 2018, 09:58:21 AM
So INTIVA health is taking healthcare solutions to hashgraph distributed technology. I guess this is the first of its kind to be on hashgrap. Many says that future of distributed ledger technology is not blockchain but hashgraph.

That's correct. Hashgraph is developed to over shortcomings of blockchain and in many ways, its classified as a better version of the blockchain. By harnessing the power of "Hashgraph Consensus Algorithm - Virtual Voting System", INTIVA will be lightning fast.
