and Ligue 1 Metz doesn't look too good for me too.
...

I feel they're still the favorites, although St. Etienne was one of the better away teams in Ligue 2 and Metz had only 3 home wins in regular season of Ligue 1.
They just have to win at home - if you want to remain in the top tier it should be the minimum you are able to do.

St. Etienne is one of the most decorated French clubs, so from a neutral standpoint' I'd rather have them there.

Only 39 players registered so far huh despite that we are around 2 weeks to go, kinda expecting it to be even more by now considering that the first entry is free to existed pool players.

Come on people, its almost $7k on top if you win !

Yep, time to start announcing it a bit..

Let's start with BSFL members that haven't applied yet.
Guys - check the following competition and join if you like the format. It's free for you all - until you drop out at least Grin

However I don't know whether the number of playoff spots gets lower in case of having less than 12 teams until the end of the season.

Nope, the same amount of teams go to the playoffs.

Collins out means I'm 2-0 down, luckily I already won the tennis and CSGO H2H questions.
We still have 3 different ones, and Metz is currently having a decent result away to St. Etienne. I'm in the driving seat but things change quickly in BSFL.

168  Economy / Gambling / Re: Potential Match Fixing involving Finnish teams FC Futura and Ilves-Kissat on: May 30, 2024, 12:39:38 PM
Hey fellas, slaman29 tagged me so just chipping in.

My opinion in these situations is always the same - if a bookie takes the bet, they need to honor the bet.
They have many levers to pull - they can suspend markets, limit the bets, ban accounts.., it is their responsibility to protect themselves.

It's incredibly hard to prove match fixing, and I feel it's the wrong way to approach this case. Was Loris Karius bribed in the Champions League final then?
In amateur leagues all kind of bizarre things happen all the time, and yeah - fixed matches are surely more common. But if somebody's killing you with big bets in Finnish amateur leagues it's your job to find a way around it if you still want to offer these markets.

Regarding the arbitration - it's my opinion that it needs to be a team of 3-5 people, not a single arbitrator.

HAPPY BITCOIN PIZZA DAY 2024 🍕🍕

To you too, shame you use cheap AI tricks to celebrate it.

I don't understand this at all - it takes time to register on BTT, to generate and upload fake pizzas, to edit the nametag in photoshop - but OK, this guy didn't try that hard.
It would have taken him maybe 20 more minutes to actually make the pizza, and he'd have something to eat as well.

Anyway, reported.

How would this part of the question be graded Cro2? Do I get an automatic correct selection in this H2H or does my selection still need to be correct? I know it has to be the latter but nice to let slackovic sweat Wink

Hurkacz game interrupted but he seems to have lost the first set, so I'll be worrying for me there too.

You have to get it right of course Grin
He did put commas (No, No, No, , Yes) so it's clear that the answer that is missing was for Rune, otherwise if he only had 4 answers in the No, No, No, Yes format we'd use Yes for Rune and not inserted for Paul.

Just threw my hat in.

Hey man, welcome. Check this one out as well, it will be good practice for you.

When calculating Div3B positions, make sure to include the changes that will come after PedroCunhaYori's removal. All results against him will now be 3-0, so there might be some extra points to those that lost/drew against him.

We will prepare an updated Div3B table today/tomorrow.

173  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Kako pretvoriti BTC u WBTC? on: May 29, 2024, 08:52:07 AM

PedroCunhaYori is out after 3 failed submissions in a row, shame to see because it will rearrange positions in the Division in the last game of the season.
It is what it is, hope it won't affect some that were already safe in the playoff positions before this.

Was a difficult set of questions to answer, first time in a while I feel neutral about my chances. I'm lucky that hakan2217 didn't look at the tennis draw considering that both Tabilo and Humbert are already out, so I start with a 1-0 lead.
175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: May 28, 2024, 11:06:04 AM
I would have preferred that we rest and focus solely on league games rather than go abroad for an unnecessary Milky trophy. Arsenal and Tottenham needs it more.

Nah, that's not how you create serial challengers.
Losing in Israel or Serbia has to become unimaginable, so that it creates pressure. Pressure creates resilience, resilience creates winning mentality.

Knockout games, no matter how insignificant, are high-stakes. And winning any final builds confidence.

If you want to create a monster team, you want all competitions that you can get your hands on and you set on winning them all at the beginning of each season. There's not a single serial winner that plays only domestic championship.

Do I need to send answers for this round?

As Harkorede already said, only if you want to play for the 40$ freebet. 3 league points are yours by default.

CS confused me initially as well - I don't follow that at all. Still, it's quite easy to figure it out if you use liquipedia.
177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: May 28, 2024, 10:01:11 AM
Not going to Europe is preferable to going to a conference league and playing against a bunch of unknown teams, wasting the players time. The net positive is that if we win the conference league, we become the only team in history to have won every European trophy.

Nah, top clubs need Europe - any kind of Europe.
It's not so much for winning an irrelevant trophy - it serves to give minutes to a wider specter of players and to remain in a Sunday - Wednesday rhythm that you hope to have again next season in CL/EL.
Getting used to that kind of rhythm which doesn't allow much rest and preparation between games is key to future CL/EL success.

Without Europe you need a squad of 17 players - which leaves a lot of players frustrated. And next year when CL comes, you need those players. You can't sell these and then buy 7 new ones a year later.

@fortebettor Most of you simply pay for a pool and then disappear without reading or following up on the thread

Yup, this sums it up perfectly. Also means that there's no reciprocity - the user does not want to give anything back to the sponsor/community by remaining active.

They crawl back only when they have something to complain about.
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: May 28, 2024, 09:40:37 AM
I think I'll miraculously win the 'best GW' award that's the same as the one for the 5th place.
Very lucky considering how shitty I've been in this pool Grin

This and Primera are the ones I'm usually bad at, but even these end up in the green if we count in the freebets.
179  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 🚀💰HALV-SEASON COMPETITION ⚽SPORTS⚽ + HALVING 🚀💰[PRIZEPOOL IN BTC] 🎉🎉🎉 on: May 27, 2024, 08:58:09 PM
Damn you Mbappe, I knew it was a big gamble. With Kane I would have shared the 1st spot.

I forgot about this as well, considering I didn't know the user wasn't really sure he'd pay up. Was a fun competition TBH, shame that the thread died momentarily after our picks.
180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy on: May 27, 2024, 08:38:04 PM
What do you think if the entry fee is 2 mbtc?

I'd play, not sure we'll get a big pool though. 1mBTC is the soft spot but it's the Euros, if you decide to go with 2mBTC I hope the people will still mostly go for it.

Would be a good test actually. Small sponsorship fee, big buyin, let's see how big the crowd is when we're the ones to chip in most of the rewards.
