As for the coins on exchanges, you have nothing to do, since exchanges handle that for you.

We were conducting tests today about simply copy/pasting the keystore folder from V1 to V2 (if you're wondering what is the keystore, it's the folder containing your wallet file(s)). Everything is ok!
Relaunching should be happening in the coming week...

Website is almost done, block explorer for V2 is functional, it just needs an API for the total supply. As for the coin itself, we're making progress in every possible way, and we're closer and closer from the relaunch. Details to come in a better announcement. |

Topics discussed right now include mining rewards, optimizing the difficulty retarget and getting ready for the big releases. We are currently very low on Nodes, there will be another post addressing that. The most common reasons are as follows: - Your local time might be incorrect. An accurate clock is required to participate in the Ethereum network. Check your OS for how to resync your clock (example sudo ntpdate -s time.nist.gov) because even 12 seconds too fast can lead to 0 peers.
- Some firewall configurations can prevent UDP traffic from flowing. You can use the static nodes feature or admin.addPeer() on the console to configure connections by hand.
To start geth without the discovery protocol, you can use the --nodiscover parameter. You only want this is you are running a test node or an experimental test network with fixed nodes. |

Thanks for the feedback. I had the same problem with the latest Mist, so as you can see this is not specific to Shift. We'll try to find a better way to handle this though.

It's the GUI wallet, right? This is normal, actually it doesn't work without the CLI wallet running in the background, it's just an interface. However, we'll be updating to have our own fork of MIST soon. I found a solution by running shift which can be downloaded at https://github.com/shiftcurrency/shift-executables/tree/master/Shift-v0.3.0Once i run it then i am able to run the shift GUI wallet and now it is downloading blockchain . I suggest to have siftcoin wiki for new users as there is no proper user guide for shiftcoin wallet and mining etc. Also the blockexplorer does not work ? May be community bounty would be helpful pushing up this coin future. That's what I've explained^^ Wiki and guide weren't accurate for new versions, so have been removed, but we'll make new ones for sure. As for the block explorer, it's on track. We have the server, we have the block explorer working in local, it's just not working on the server. |

After almost a week working with Joey, the dev, I would like to say that this guy is a gem, and he's the most competent dev I've ever worked with. Good move to have joined the two teams! Just to give you an idea, yesterday we were chatting, and at 8:25 PM, I was suggesting that the Ethereum team could have done a better job than: web3.fromWei(eth.getBalance(eth.accounts[0]), "ether") just to check your balance inside the console. I didn't get a reply from him.
