People dump the coin.  Shocked

Not really. Quite stable between 0.03 and 0.04 BTC.

Why is GRUMPY not listed at coinmarketcap.com?

I think it was once listed there (couple of days ago). What's missing? It is one of the steps to make GRUMPY a little bit more popular (and valuable).
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Grumpycoin][GRUMP]★GrumpyCoin★V1.2★Kimoto's Well☆ 4 Exchanges☆ on: February 27, 2014, 07:43:09 PM
I am not sure if this is the right thread for this proposal. I am focusing on promotion and adding more services. You need to know the source code and compare it with other crypto technologies to be able to provide a good answer. Have you developed any wallet and know how to change parameters in scrypt coins? I have not so I can't answer your questions but maybe our wallet creator can and please contact the guy with your great ideas. Anything good you provide for Grumpycoin will be promoted on our social network.
The grumpycoin wallet looks fine at the moment with successful implementation of Kimoto Gravity Well and what I understand is one of the critical success factor for a crypto coin to survive nowadays. The wallet changes we are developing at the moment are user interface changes. New non crypto people don't care they just want to have some fun and be able to do something with their coin.
More service coming up. Dev's are working hard. Stay tuned.

This is very basic stuff. Templar said that the total amount of coins and distribution can be easily changed (by him or someone that helped him - stanleytwobricks, as clarv mentioned). KGW is important now but in a couple of months where there will be like 10 GRUMPs per block there will be nobody to mine GRUMP anyway, so no KGW needed (or wallet) anymore. No mining means also no transactions within the network = coin dead.

How long will it take the devs to notice this idea?

Dev is too busy with his new project (exchange for crypto coins), so I don't think he will find any time for GRUMPY.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Grumpycoin][GRUMP]★GrumpyCoin★V1.2★Kimoto's Well☆ 4 Exchanges☆ on: February 27, 2014, 07:03:35 PM
Never said 100 sat Smiley 10 sats Smiley But if we get listed on mintpal then this is not impossible, look how many pumps they are happening...

Yeah, let's wait, maybe miracle will happen and Grumpy rise to 10 sat at Mintpal, then sell. Great mini pump and dump strategy Smiley At least we could aim for big pump and dump like DOGE Tongue
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Grumpycoin][GRUMP]★GrumpyCoin★V1.2★Kimoto's Well☆ 4 Exchanges☆ on: February 27, 2014, 06:32:38 PM
It is not my coin or i don't have anything to do with grumpy, only mining it with 3500Kh/s, but i really like the positive mood on this thread, there was even a little hype on twitter to try a boost the coin price of grumpy, but now it looks like we are not moving. The incorrect number of coins of 50B that was corrected to 20B didn't had any effect, also no marketing has happened around this... anyway, i believe in the value of this coin, and even when it doesn't move higher i like the name of the coin, so i will mine it till the next block halvering.

It really doesn't matter if there is 20 or 50 billion if there is no plan regarding this coin. I made some proposals regarding the future of this coin including future mining and supply of the coin but never got any replay or real interest from the Dev or community. This way we will stay at 1 satoshi (or less) forever.

So because no one was interested in your idea the coin is doomed?
Right...

No, my idea may be shitty. It was my answer to placebo's post.

Sitting, doing nothing and waiting for 100 satoshi for 1 GRUMP won't work.

Please send med a PM and let me know what is your proposal regarding the future of Grumpycoins and I'll se what I can do.

Please just check out my post above. It is about the coin supply and miniing of Grumpy in the next 10 / 20 years.

I would definitely keep it 50 billion as it was stated in the initial coin post.

But let's keep it long term, so the coin won't die.

How about such solutions (10 or 20 years of mining):

~ 10 years of steady mining

1/ 500,000   20000   10 000 000 000
2/ 250,000   20000   5 000 000 000
3/ 125,000   20000   2 500 000 000
4/ 62,500   20000   1 250 000 000
5/ 31,250   20000   625 000 000
6/ 15,625   20000   312 500 000

      19 687 500 000

And after reaching ~ 20 billion coins stop halving process and keep it 15625 coins / block.

With 2.5 minutes blocks we have 576 blocks / day.

576 blocks x 15625 coins = 9 000 000 coins / day x 365 = 3 285 000 000 coins / year.

-------------------------

~ 20 years of steady mining

1/ 500,000   20000   10 000 000 000
2/ 250,000   20000   5 000 000 000
3/ 125,000   20000   2 500 000 000
4/ 62,500   20000   1 250 000 000
5/ 31,250   20000   625 000 000
6/ 15,625   20000   312 500 000
7/ 7,812.5   20000   156 250 000

      19 843 750 000

And after reaching ~ 20 billion coins stop halving process and keep it 7812.5 coins / block.

With 2.5 minutes blocks we have 576 blocks / day.

576 blocks x 7812.5 coins = 9 000 000 coins / day x 365 = 1 642 500 000 coins / year.

-------------------------

Keep in mind that with today price of 1 satoshi / GRUMP one block (initial 500k coins) is worth 0.005 BTC and 250k block is worth 0.0025 BTC. But the price for GRUMPY should rise, so with ~ 25 satoshi 7812.5 coins / block would be worth 0.00195 BTC, so it should still be a good reward for new miners.

What do you think??

I didn't sell them. Just transfer to be ready for 10 satoshi Smiley. pmtocoin.com should be down and stay there forever. I think the same people like in Openex so be careful.

Blocks 27666 and 27888 were out of BA Pool, so next lucky block worth 1mln Grumpy is 27999.

EDIT 01:32 27/02/2014 UTC:
BTC-E - DDoS - hard times for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency.

EDIT 02:32 27/02/2014 UTC:
Cryptorush.in - Offline - DDoS too? BTC-e and Cryptorush was behind Cloudflare, interesting.

CryptoRush.in is up. Very good service BTW. They are one of the best exchanges right now. They've just implemented new functionality: Queue Position - quite useful.

GrumpyCoin is now back on the voting page but with about 8000 votes less than before.

Not bad really. Keep on fair voting and we will be soon on MintPal.

We have 21818 votes now.

Sorry guys but it looked as bots / proxies etc. Too many votes in such small period of time. I was afraid that they will take GRUMP down from voting list. Similar thing happened to other coins on MintPal. They will bring us back after some time and probably after removing most of the votes. It's a pity because many of us (including myself) voted several times a day.

Someone wanted to take shortcut.. Didn't work out.

In the end it is all about the money. MintPal wants to be paid for adding coins to their exchange. And to be honest there is nothing worng about it.

Quote
Please don't use bots, we can spot it and you will be seriously harming the coin's chance of ever hitting our exchange. We will temporarily remove any coins that have gained votes with bots.
