Some people think it won't crash, other has been saying "tomorrow" for the past years.
But looking at the gains the last few months its hard to see this continuing for years to come. Can there be a long (3-6 months) bear market now to correct or is crypto too hot and will increase crazy up til implosion?
I'm thinking maybe 6-12 months of crypto craze left. Then crash (90% of coins loose 90% of value) and a few years of bear market before successful crypto projects starts making money. Pretty much .com again.
What do you think?
There is no way that the altcoin market is going to crash, the worse that is going to happen is that a majority of the coins is going to end up dying out in the coming years, they will be the scam coins with no real product and people will move on from then. The altcoins will take a hit, that much is true but it does not mean that the entire market is going to end up crashing. |

There are some icos that will tell you that if the project does not go as planned and the ICO fails then they would give you back the money that you have invested with them but if they are not the kind that give back the invested capital then they take all of the money that they have raised and the people who invested in the project are left with nothing.

It is true, the bear market is the best time for you to learn about the market, as the value of your coins are dwindling it is the time for you to fill yourself with information about how everything moves and what is the best way for you to get the most out of your money. I have to agree, there are a lot more bounty hunters than there were here before, that is why the payouts not are so small. There are way more people who are sharing the bounty pool than there were before, so the rewards are much more smaller. There is also the issue of the multiple accounts, which is just another menace when it comes to bounties.

Why does coins prices fluctuate so much and it is never been constant making predicting price much harder and much riskier and holding on to coins can be the best way right now.

This is because there is always people are buying and selling coins at any given time so it is only normal that the prices of the coins are constantly changing since the supply and demand for the coins in the market are constantly changing too. Volatility has now become one of the major characteristics of cryptocurrencies now due to the constantly changing prices of the coins. |

I get a great deal of my cryptocurrency news here on bitcointalk. People are always posting threads and talking about the things that are going on with cryptocurrencies which makes it a good place to get news from. Also most of the news here are pretty spot on and legit so I get them here. Also I get some of the news on twitter since a lot of the coins are on the platform.

Everyone's portfolio is down. No matter how hard we talk about it, it is not going to change anytime soon. Now we are all just waiting and hoping that the market gets back to a good price soon, with the way that the coins are right now, even if you wanted to try and cut your losses, there is no way that you could be making out a good amount from the market.

The high rate of worthless coins are now at alarming rate as we have experience a very difficult time in distinguishing between Good coins and shit coins. Getting into Campaigns with the aims of getting a good coin for the future, all we can get is some worthless coins into the wallet. Those worthless coins or as i called them valueless Altcoins. What will you do to your worthless Altcoins in your wallet?  ? You should avoid coins that might end up valueless as much as possible but as for the valueless coins that I have now there is no way that I can use them or sell them so they just get to stay in the wallet for now and not do anything. Maybe at some point the project might be revived but I doubt that will be the case. They are useless, there is nothing to do with them. |

There is no way that this can happen, there is no way that the projects can pay out all of the bounty participants in coins like eth or btc. You need to understand that when these people are paying you, they do not have the money that they are paying you, they rely on the coin doing good so you can actually get the money you deserve. They don't just have the money to do that. |

This is pretty good, it is basically the same thing that I do before I buy any altcoins especially when it comes to buying new altcoins. There is just no telling what it is that will be happening with the coins but the best thing that we can always do is to arm ourselves with as much information as possible and this is a good way for us to do that.

I have to agree, the best thing to buy right now would be some bitcoin really, there is no other thing that is better. The time of cash in coming to an end and people cannot keep hoarding cash and expect it to be very viable for years to come. The future is cryptocurrencies and that cryptocurrency is bitcoin. If you want to invest then you should be buying bitcoin.

This really what I keep on asking myself since we all know that cryptocurrency dominates the bank as time pass by. I wonder will it result to total collapse of bank industry?

No matter how popular cryptos get there will not be a time when banks will disappear because as long as there is such a thing as money then there will always be people who want to save, there will always be people who will not be able to keep their money themselves. So maybe the banks will change the way they operate and things that they operate with to suit the times but they will not disappear. |

That is because there is no more money coming into the market, people are no longer buying coins but there are a lot of people who are still selling off their coins thinking that the market will never recover so that is not helping matters at this point. If we want the prices to start doing better then people need to start buying more coins and by that I mean that people need to start buying bitcoin.

If you have ability to hold some coin I believe that ETH will be more profitable from other. I know many alt coins are very low price now. But for me eth is better to hold a little bit. I believe you will never loss.

This is another change to buy now. As well price now on 200$ zone. Do you believe it will stay on this position ? I don't think, because this time is red for alt. As far as I know after every red time will forward to green day. So keep buying if you have enough found.
I agree. It is not everyday that you get to see ethereum at such prices. My advice is to take the win, make sure that you are buying as much as possible now that the prices are still really low. At the $200 zone which no one ever thought that we would get to again, this is a sale and buying ethereum now to hold for the long term is going to lead to a lot of profits. |

I am holding it but not a lot of it because I did not buy that much. If you look at it EOS is one of those coins that has a lot of potential to grow, although the project does seem a little bit shaky now but I believe that in time it will find its footing and its place in the market. Even in this bear market that we are in right now the coin seems to be holding up quite well.

I was wondering from what I have read in the forum threads and a lot of people talking about the rise of altcoins. Most of it are saying that it will be ether to achieve what bitcoin has achieve today. They talk about its market price volatility or its price that is slowly recovering other than bitcoin that for somehow as of this moment has fall down a little bit on its market price. One thing came to my mind and that is the possibility that ethereum could be next to bitcoin? I am also happy if this will happen since I am holding a 1 ether in my digital wallet and I am hoping that one day ether will somehow break the record for bitcoin even though it is an altcoin.
Yes there is a possibility that ethereum can get to 19k but I would not exactly say that it will be happening in the near future. The market still needs a lot of time to grow and ethereum has to mature even more as a coin and find its footing. Yes that price is possible but you are going to have to wait a long time for it to get to such a price. |

Well that is just a stupid thing to do, look at the coins, look at the market, just look at one chart and you will see that the market is still incredibly volatile and unstable. No one should be investing borrowed money into this market, you should not even be investing money that you will need in the near future. You should never invest more than you can afford and are willing to lose.

I saw some coins have 7days big grow up like Ontology , Vchain etc. so is this signal of a bull run ?
Most are now frustrating about crypto currency because now a days bloody red all the way, Most of the portfolios have 50% decreased. But we need to believe this down has an end and climb is there.
It is not a sign of a bull run, if you see a couple of altcoins growing that much in a couple of days then you should just know that someone somewhere is pumping the coins and it will not be long before the price of the coin comes crashing back down again once the dump starts. To know a bull run starting is when the price of bitcoin starts doing good numbers. |

Sure looks like it but then again, that is how it looks everytime that there is a bear market, the prices go down so much that you do not think that there is any way that it will back up. But really all we have to do is give it time, once the people who are panic selling their coins are done and the whales start buying again then the price would go up.

There are a couple of things that you need to make sure that you are always doing, there is the fact that you should always be careful when it comes to the information regarding your wallets. You should only invest the amount of money that you are wiling to lose as the market is way too volatile and there is as much risk as there is reward. |
