Is Luke actively working on getting Bfgminer to work completely with the Rigs? I realize hes done something since its working I just wonder if you have heard he is trying to get it stable.

There should be a spot for it under your worker settings for the Pool. I dont know where they are for Ozcoin, but I know Bitminter has them under the worker config.

thanks for the pic taco.

i really don't get this.  i've got stable speeds right now around 550 GH/s in the BF GUI yet my stratum pool monitor shows btwn 78.8 and 193 GH/s.  it's been consistently showing this disparity.

problem is that my Avalons show consistently accurate readings on this same stratum pool monitor of 82-84 GH/s and in its cgminer GUI.

Did you adjust the Difficult for the BF? Just a thought not sure if it helps.

I managed to get my Unit working Stable, it seems these guys want to be cooled in a specific way. I added 3 120MM fans to the top with 1 Box fan pushing air across it from the side. The real trick is it did not like the air on the same side as the regulator, no clue why but once I moved it to the other side it has hashed at 575-580 for about 11 hours now.

Now I need to move it off my workbench to where its going stay for good, lets hope my results do not vary. At least I have an idea what to do I suppose.

I asked Mega to stop my RMA for now since all the Units appear to work fantastic with Proper cooling.

Okay, shots of the busted board and the rest of the rig are here: http://imgur.com/a/WCu0k

The heatsinks on the bottom left of the card look close to some of the live voltage regulation points, but I can ensure you that it is not touching them

Edit: Sent in RMA request, let's see how smooth this goes!  Cheesy

Well at the moment I am pretty frustrated and unsure what to do. I am getting about 372 with a full rig, 5 cards sitting at 0, 1 at 8gh. I have a box fan on them, plus 6 120MM fans, and Heat sinks as Goxed recommended. I was very careful not to let them touch anything they shouldn't, However none of that has helped, 5-6 cards just poop out after an hour or so of mining.

Not sure how to proceed at this point. I sent in an RMA to see if Mega can help.

Sounds like the same problem I am having with my bad card.  The only thing I can think of is something faulty with the thermal regulation.  Weirdly, sometimes when I ssh the chips are all fine, other times they throw errors.  My guess is that they are all fine, but something is faulty elsewhere in the board.

The only other thing I can recommend is reseating them all over the place and seeing if it helps.

Ill definitely try that once I am able to. I have moved the worst ones to the end of the m-board, maybe I should mix them in to the middle and see if I can find a sweet spot.

I bought a Multimeter to be able to check the voltage, however I do not know where on the board you would test that.  If someone could make a screenshot of that I would really appreciate it, or maybe it already exists?

I have tried all sorts of fans and none seem to keep the regulator cool enough to keep them from cycling. Mine just turn off as well, and do not come back up.

Check voltage on top of the inductor (grey box with PULSE printed on it and any of the GND pin from the PCIE power supply)

Ahh, that's how you do it. Thank you.

I did that actually, but I am still having issues with it. It made them stay up a tad longer before they started dropping off.

Cool thank you, I figured the DIff part was simple.

I have 3 Dead banks or at least they say 0 Noncerate. I cannot flip them to different slots until later.

I noticed these did not have anything marked on them to tell you what Bank to use either. There any advice you can give on that Dave? Or does it matter on these new ones which bank they are in?
171  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: November 05, 2013, 10:36:12 PM
Does anyone have a good guide for what diff you should set these too, what would be good for 550GH?

Also is there a way to reset individual banks?

Last question how do you know if you have bad chips on bank?

I scrolled through the guide but did not find these answers.

Thanks

I am laughing at this (on 2014/11/05 ) 91,637,018,622, You honestly believe it will reach this Number by that date? again lol if you do. If I am wrong then a big ol LOL in general because that's some insane network hashing power to produce that diff.

You don't need to reach such a high difficulty to be completely unprofitable on a 6500 USD/450 GH/s rig.

spiccioli

I'm not arguing whether anything will be profitable or not, the diff that he listed was just absurd however. I think too many people want to make 10000 USD or 100 BTC in a month like what they would have when they were first coming out 3 Months ago.

When I first got in to Bitcoin you could buy a 5550 card and you might get ROI in a year, now people are screaming about something that will not ROI in a month. Were hitting that Saturation point like GPUs did where you need to look a lot further out for when you ROI. Not to mention buying an FPGA where they were 650 a unit or more and ROI was nearly Two years out, its funny how things change and suddenly something that can ROI in 6-7 Months is outrageous.

Again I am not arguing what the price of Bitfury machines should be or whether or not these ever ROI I can run calculations just the same as anyone else, however I try to be slightly more realistic with the information I can get.

Well, I cant say you are wrong mainly because I really have no idea, although it seems like a bit of a jump in hashing power to hit those numbers.

+30% jumps are conservative.  BFL is still shipping, so is KNC; HF, Cointerra, BA are still unknowns.  Then you have bitfuries.  I suspect we'll see 30-50% jumps every 2 weeks at least until Feb/14 or Mar/14.  Monarchs and BAs shipped in numbers will culminate this run up.

I think people who ordered Monarchs will be dumping their pre-orders sometime in December at 50% loss.

BTW, Bitfury kits for November better be in the KNC price range, i.e. $3-4K per full kit.  It all can change very quickly if HF demos their chip.
Then $3K/full kit will become expensive overnight.

I dunno, were already reaching a saturation point, just doing some simple math those companies would need to deliver a lot of hardware to reach the 1 Billion mark. We have some time before 8 Bil, but the way this market moves I could certainly be wrong.

I just have to ask, do you really believe the network hash rate will be somewhere around 234 times what it is today by Nov of next year? lol, I suppose its not impossible however it seems unlikely it happens that quickly.

I'm selling 130 shares cheap if anyone is interested.

I would like to know how we are going to trade the shares now.
I'm still working out the details with @Lab_Rat, but the short version is going to be that both parties will need to send an email to LR or myself, signed with the BTC address associated with the LRM shares outlining the transaction.  "I want to buy 50 shares from <address> for XXXXBTC" "I want to sell 50 shares to <address> for XXXXBTC".   I will provide a BTC address and will receive the funds from the buyer, and transmit them to the seller, less a 0.5% fee.  (Minimum fee of 0.025 BTC.)  Once I have received the payment I will update the master spreadsheet of bonds to reflect the requested sale.

The above may change slightly.  And @Lab_Rat needs to set up the spreadsheet yet.  But that's the idea.

grnbrg.

Min fee of .025 after all this bs that was out of the shareholders control.. sigh. It makes it really tough to buy a few shares at a time when your not bringing in tons of BTC.
178  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: October 12, 2013, 06:55:41 PM
So, if I don't get a dividend, does it get accumulated for the next time? Since I have less than 20 shares

He hasn't made that clear, but it would make sense. but on the other hand, he is charging .025btc to do this by hand, so im thinking that you wont receive ANY dividend because that would mean I dont get paid but you will if he rolls it over.. so, from his wording, those that have 20 shares or less wont receive anything since he is charging that fee, you dont even have enough to pay the fee. so if he rolls you over to next week, what about those that have more than 20 shares? he cant roll everyones dividends over.. so my guess is that you wont get anything unelss you have at least 21 bonds...

Sounds even less fair, that would imply everyone with less than 20 is better of selling them since they will receive 0.

He did state that this is temporary and by next week or the week after, he should have it straightened out.. This is something that He will have to address as Im just making assumptions from what I read..

Agreed, I'm just saying you can't go and treat shareholders differently based on the amount of bonds they hold.

Much better to hold all dividends temporarly, and then when it's fixed pay everyone a big dividend.

I hope Lab Rat recognizes this and the bad reputation it would bring to his otherwise great operation.

I have to agree with this.  Id rather the Divs were just held and then paid out once there is no fee, and the investment is on a new platform or in a better place to pay the divs out.
179  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] WTF! BitFunder Restrictions to US Citizens on: October 09, 2013, 03:05:34 AM
Yes, its all of ua USA'rs fault, die USA'rs. Stop being stupid, there is no government out there that's doing its people any favors.

Well most Governments don't try to control the entire world. That is the difference.

Actually that is the function of any government. What do you think the world wars were about?

Actually no, most of the countries involved fought to simply maintain their land. Only a few powers were interested in taking over the world.

The function of any Government is to govern and do right by her people. Obviously no Government in the world actually stands up to this ideal, but some are better than others. I suggest the USA works against its own people every single time making it one of the worst offenders, along with China and Saudi Arabia.

The point is were just as mad about it as you are, well those of us that are aware. I'm not happy with what the US is doing any more than you are, but pointing fingers at people in the US and saying Haha I hope you get screwed even more its your fault is pretty childish and naive to say the least.

All of us need to band together. We should be upset mostly at this situation and trying to come together to find a solution so this stops happening to all the exchanges. Blaming governments and their people wont stop the panic selling Smiley

The USD is about to crash hard along with the US economy.

This is what happens to all ponzi schemes sooner or later...

Agreed, the sooner the better.
