161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: March 13, 2017, 10:45:03 AM
No, i dont steam anything from anyone, I even dont know how ethos worked becasue i never used it and looked in theyr scripts.
Only thing i saw is their dashboard thats it.
All scripts are 100% written by me, tool is bought from wolf and when i ask him if i should mantion that this tool is from him, he said "no need to mantion it".
Anyway i bought it and not copyied it.

Also what code is identical to mine ? meaby they copied sometring from me accually ?

I highly doubt it Wink

But it's ok, no need to keep defending yourself.

I'll say it again: I couldn't care less if you did, the only thing i would appreciate, is if it was, that you would leave some credit.

But it's all good.  Wink
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: March 13, 2017, 10:18:57 AM
My point being, if you "use" stuff from other distro's, the least you can do is give credit to those who wrote the code in the first place.
Yeah, i know no one gives a shit, as long as you can use it for free .. Smiley
Accually you are wrong. EthOS bought this utility from wolf and i also bought from wolf0 for 0.15 BTC and i rapped up with my scripts....
Anyway you could check md5sum of this tool, its different (anyway in older ethos version).
This is why i took so long to implement while ethos had it few months before me. I was negotiating with him and i also tryied to write own tool from beginning which i am capable of but i just didnt had time for this.
I never steal if thats what you mean....

Atiflash is free to use for everyone - see "tool" in attachments
Here is the link to public atiflash for linux: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97403

Any other thoughts ?

Nope, i'm just surprised that you bought it from wolf, that explains a lot.

I know Atiflash is free to use, i never said that it wasn't Smiley

Just looking at your code and comparing it to ethos's, looked almost identical.

I don't care, but if it was, i would have loved to see some credits for the ones who initally wrote it.

Oh also never said that you're a thief, i just know that in this world/scene a lot is being "borrowed" Wink

Greetings!

Good no worries.

And yeah spending time and feeling like
It was wasted would piss me off.

So I spent about an hour fixing my rigs and when you asked for a roll back I got a bit cranky.

I am liking the smOS more every day.

Why wouldn't you :p It's completely free..
a quote from someone else: "Albeit at someone elses mercy".

The funny thing someone just brought up to my attention.

The overclock part for RX cards is almost identical to what EthOS offers, what ethOS offers is custom code written by Sling00 to control amdgpu-pro.
Also, i noticed wolfamdctrl being in that code, also something that has been a part of EthOS, it "could" be that Tytanic bought Wolfamdctrl as well but i doubt it, why invest in something you will offer for free?..
Same goes for Atiflash, another thing that's not something you can find "so easily" on the net..

My point being, if you "use" stuff from other distro's, the least you can do is give credit to those who wrote the code in the first place.
Yeah, i know no one gives a shit, as long as you can use it for free .. Smiley

164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing Pandaminer OS on: March 11, 2017, 02:48:48 PM
I've been trying out Eliovp's mxm ROMS on my pandas, slowly applying them to one card at a time, and can definitely say I'm pleased with the results.

A pandaminer that I just finished flashing (takes me about a day to flash a rig since I do one card and a time and then let it mine to validate stability):

Solid 2MH/s/card increase on Ethereum.

Great stuff Eliovp!

Sure thing! Smiley

Did you try dual mining eth+dcr with Eliovp ROMs?

No i haven't, i like to keep my cards a bit longer.

Especialy MXM cards, if you want to get them dead rather quickly, go dual mine.

I've seen some nice pictures of Dual Mining results..

I've never done it and i will never do it.

Some guy, yeah you all know who, implemented it into his miners..
Marketing at it's best..

It turned out that only 8KB out of 64KB GDS is available with RX 480 and AMDGPU-PRO.
GDS does not seem to work if m0 is greater than 0x1fff.
I suppose I could just let the first CPU thread use GDS for row counters and keep everything else the same.
It wouldn't make any sense to do all these experiments entirely in the GCN assembly as it consumes way too much time and I am hardly making any money with this miner...

Edit: All the GDS-related parameters in the HSA binary seems to be ignored. Oh well.

I appreciate your work.  Just sent you a small thank you.

Thank you! I mentioned your donation to my wife, and her reply was, "I would love monthly donations!" I think she's crazy...

Someone wants a new pair of shoes... Smiley

Elpida... you can change some random things and it will still work...

I got a few pm's about custom rom not working with relive drivers.

Fix: Atikmdag Patcher

Tested on windows 7 with a few relive drivers, don't ask me which ones exactly but should work on all of them i guess, 16.12 for sure.

You can run it through an online antivirus thing if you don't trust me Smiley

What clocks? Got 930H/s on 1140@1625 on 1125 strap.

Wonder what kind of speeds wolf0 could get out of these.

1240/1625 1125 strap hynix:

Damn, that's impressive. I'm guessing hawaii BIOS needs to be edited in HEX to change the straps?

I was told by Eliovp that changing straps on hawaii doesn't help. Clearly he's wrong!

I just read this :p

I went back to check on our pm's, i never said anything about XMR...

Just for the fun of it, i'll get my 390's out of the dust and have some fun with them this week.

Thanks Eliovp.

By "getting them modded in China" I mean forwarding them the instructions from you for the mod and getting them to do it.

I am not really sure what is involved with moding from Pandaminers original Windows OS to your Pandaminer OS? Is it just a matter of formatting the SSD and copying your panderminer OS onto it?

Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Yup, that's basically it.

I did misunderstood you though. it's 400$ for the rom. Not the os.

Greetings

I am a bit confused about the cost to mod a Hardware Pandaminer with Eliovp's Pandaminer OS.

I want to buy 4 Pandaminers from China in the next batch (Late March) and get them shipped to a Hosting company not in my Country.

1)How much will it cost to mod with Eliovp's Pandaminer

2)What would be the best way to do it? Get them modded in China or at the hosting company??

1. 400$
2. Dunno what you mean by "get the modded in China".. they don't have the mod i offer..

Greetings!
