It is nice to be patiened but as fast the world spins atm, it would be really nice to know a time window for MN.

Contest is supposed to be released a week or so before the Masternodes, but the contest is not meant to be a timetable for predictions so if I release the contest, don't assume the MN are coming out in a week because it could change, depends on how much OC we've raised as well. You'll see soon enough.

So community, what's everyone doing to help OC these days? Anyone have any ideas for OC? The dev's and I still have our agenda, but I'd like to involve the community as well, let's see what you guys come up with!

Here's the thing I would love to keep you all posted on what we have going on behind the door. But some of this stuff we are adding hasn't been either thought of or not wanted to be worked on bc it's timely and a pain. Trust us, once we have her all done and packaged with a nice little bow, you all will flip sh1t. I know that a lot of you would like to hear more but, just know you have a dev team that cares about privacy. Meaning we are not telling the open forum all of our plans, I'm sure most of you don't want your dev's telling all the secrets. I'm ok with coins using our hard work after we have it up and posted. I just don't want them taking our concept and doing it wrong to beat us. Enjoy the lower price that comes with sellers doubts. We are not coming on here promising this and that making the price jump for a flash in the pan. We are working on real solutions to problems that plagues most coins weather they see it yet or see it and don't care.
Masternodes are our top priority, getting them right, fast and set up for all the stuff to come and merge properly. This takes building, testing, tweaking, rebuilding, testing, tweaking......

With all that said, they will probably be a dump on the market soon, from some one scared that we can't do this all. Or someone that reads this and thinks masternodes are to far off for them to hold out. MN are coming soon, I'm not going to hold their release any more then testing they work proper with what we need now. If I guess on a timeframe it would only be a guess. I don't just guess on stuff like that, this is your investment, When I say something I mean it.

With that said, MN are close and you will like what we have done, and you will like Halofire's contest. More info will come soon on all of this.
  
Just know I read this forum 10+ times a day, we are here and working hard.

No official updates or ETA. I'm assuming the planned coin model is being tested with Testnet and is the reason for the delay, but that's my personal speculation. I can verify the devs are active, no worries there. I am in contact with them almost everyday working on other things for Orangecoin. And no... I'm not saying what those things we're working on are, yet...

Every time I get burned by one of these new "flash" in the pan dev's who ditch their coins (sometimes in the first day's of a coins existence) I ened up buying a few more Oranges to make me feel better about crypto land again

this past week alone... wvs, neb, flash all seem to have dev's MIA with miners/investors left holding the bag wondering wtf to do now. every time it happens it'll make a solid coin that has been steady the whole time like OC look that much more appealing to investors

people who want to chase pump and dumps all day in the market will buy the latest thing and people who want a solid coin with longevity in mind will buy OC

The community has to understand that the Masternode code isn't a simple 'click the mouse, look at the code, then release' type of feature, like patching a bug or adding a checkpoint. It is time consuming and has to be thoroughly checked, especially since it deals directly with coin production. What would happen if the devs released the Masternodes and they didn't work right and the dev couldn't figure out the problem for weeks? Orangecoin would crash hard, possibly permanently. It will be worth the wait. Just keep riding the rollercoaster in the meantime.

This is not an official announcement, just me talking.
I think ppl were expecting MN in this 1.0.4 release and sold when they saw it wasn't there. I don't know for sure, I am assuming this: Testnet is a step in the verification that the MN and PoS will work correctly as planned.

Some people are concerned with the current status and price of orangecoin. No worries, we are all still here and active. This is just an in-between lull, if anything. Some holders have dumped with malicious intent, while others just wanted out. Innovation will come, just have patience. Remember, OC is not a 'quick buck' coin for those who are looking for the pump and dump. There are hundreds of other coins that fit that description. Take your pick.

Personally, I'm in this for the long haul. As long as our dev(s) can keep up with the times and keep us going in the right direction, there's no reason to sell, imo. OC is still young with new surprises and lots in store! Stay tuned!
