161  Economy / Economics / Re: Second lockdown due to covid19 is painful on: January 09, 2021, 10:45:12 AM

This is a crazy world! And while some of us fighting with second, third, fourth wave and another lockdown, in some parts of the world things are "normal" (like that ever existed) again!
It's not the same for all of us, while some didn't feel this "situation" (people who continued to work and receive paychecks), for some this is like death penalty! Many small and micro businesses are lost (while billionaires are making billions), many people (and their families) are left to struggle for basic needs!
I didn't change my mind, the whole situation is a "man made"! And be sure that the ride is not over yet, we will see a lot more, this brainwashing campaign is leading us into something. I hope we will wake up before it's too late to make changes for the better!

Tin-foil hats on, but are you saying that China released a bio-weapon to slow down the whole world economy, while they move on with their path faster to become, and replace the United States, as the world's No.1 Super-power?
Look crazy how come Wuhan first place for covid 19 look freedom and many people could going any where together and looks what happen in London and many other countries have loss their dreaming with freedom, they have stay at home and never out from home at the night, look like country and world have war right now with many people afraid to do anything and go any where. Almost one year nothing good speculation with covid 19 will gone, will need one year again?

Well, that might also just be Chinese propaganda telling Westerners that, "Hey we are better than you, we are your masters now". Tin-foil hats on, but China is demoralizing you.

It was easier for them with just throwing anyone sick in the back of a van

"he sent a violent mob" - so he told people to go and break into the building ? I'm finding the context of your statement to be false.
Well, first he organized the "Save America/Stop the Steal" rally for the same exact time that Congress + Pence would be counting the votes making his loss official.

Then he hyped the event tweeting things like "it will be wild", "the country needs you to fight"

Here's part of his speech from the rally telling them where to go in order to 'save america':

"And after this, we're going to walk down and I'll be there with you. We're going to walk down--

We're going to walk down. Anyone you want, but I think right here, we're going to walk down to the Capitol--

And we're going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women and we're probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them.

Because you'll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong."

Lets just skip the part where you throw out the 'but show me where he explicitly said to be violent' argument.  It's bullshit.  Even if he would've preferred there be less or no violence, it wouldn't make him any less responsible for what happened. He made them outraged, he convinced them that the country needed them to go and fight, he organized the event, he pointed exactly where to go (even lied and said he'd go with them), and they marched over to the capital and did what they did.

and they let them in nice and easy.

they are the fools of the piece.

They left a computer logged in so they can say security was breached in the trial or whatever.

They are the saps.

Give them enough rope to hang themselves just happened in front of my eyes.

Some corrections or pullbacks are to be expected.

The more experienced guys have learned to ride these ebbs and flows.

For sure the longer term trend is clear.

But it doesn't really guarantee anything.

A few people out of the race.

Monero also has things such as view key functionality.

If you had to show something you could do so.

It feels like its closing in again.

The yesterday number was 1 in 50 have covid in the general population.

London has 1 in 30, we just had xmas family get togethers so a spike can be about here.

I expect the prem to be interrupted again, unless they get some vaccines, I think they can buy their way out of trouble that way.

ntroducing Wrapped Monero Token $XMR

https://blog.btse.com/introducing-wrapped-monero/

"Wrapped Monero, brings XMR to the Ethereum network with all the flexibility of an ERC-20 token. Wrapped Monero (WXMR) is backed 1:1 by Monero and secured by BTSE.

Wrapped Monero brings greater liquidity to the Ethereum and DeFi ecosystem. It gives holders of Monero more flexibility to utilize their tokens without having to sell it for Ethereum or stablecoins, in order to access the many exciting opportunities in the DeFi space."

How do you rate this news? Is coloboration with Defi useful for monero?

Haha this is a fucking joke right?Huh

What kind of a retard would do this?

Just reading your linked blog, https://blog.btse.com/introducing-wrapped-monero/ ,points out every reason this would be moronic.

This idiotic move would strip away every reason to own and use Monero ,even the custodial part!

Boy they will try and think of any reason to shake your coins loose!  Apparently they don't know the things that this is supposed to solve are already a part of Monero.

Changing your Monero into a shit token of a centralized over bloated chain that is failing under its own weight is so far beyond stupid that anyone that even considers doing this deserves to lose all their coins.

But of course if those coins are genuinely "locked up" 1 for 1   then we will see less supply and greater price. So it feel like BS or Win for us

175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 07, 2021, 11:07:22 AM

I do agree it may be an interesting project as a store of value with possible further regulations
coming but its not clear yet how good atomic swaps will work and if they will be safe and
unregulated and if all exchanges get forced to delist monero it could as well drop below $150
even if Bitcoin keeps rising.

is this congruent? atomic swap negates exchange usage

*edit*

Here is a chart to cheery the mood.  1D XMR USD
