Thought it would be valuable to mention but I was selling on Vertex and the buyer reversed the PayPal transaction, Vertex refunded me 80% of the transaction. The support is really good, they helped me as soon as I opened the support ticket.
Great to hear

Ok, everything is done and I am in only I had a couple of problems on the website:
First - the link provided in the first post doesn't work and I got error 404 when I tried to use it. Second - I couldn't signup using the Google Chrome browser but it was possible using Firefox. Third - there was a problem with the confirmation email and I had to resend it a couple of times.
Additionally, when I was looking for the Vertex link in Google there are many other companies under this name and even one of them is called also Vertex Market. This will be a fully decentralized exchange from what I see and is still under construction but it can also be misleading because the link provided is not working and this Vertex where we have to register is not so easy to find in browsers.
I hope such feedback will help to improve these bugs on your website OP.
Thank you for your feedback! We will have this sent over to the developers immediately

So, only one user gets the $20... This is what i call cheap marketing but at least it is a marketing move. You should make a signature campaign in this forum if you really want to promote your service, no one say it would be cheap but is the right way to do it.
You said already that they are doing cheap marketing. Do you think that they can fund a expensive signature campaign? Just kidding bro ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)
I'm IN and wishing to win that 20$ since I'm feeling very lucky today. Edit: how do you know our email address connected on our forum account. I just sign up using my email and I don't remember I fill up related to my bitcointalk.org account? It does not have to be related. We will email the winner and also share a screenshot of the raffle as proof to the participants that there was in fact a winner

The winner will be announced on this thread as well as emailed on Friday 13 December 2019. Users will be added to a raffle and chosen by a random number generator.
We will reach out for your BTC address via email and the transaction ID will be sent on this thread as proof that the giveaway took place!
Good luck!!
How are you going to ensure transparency when selecting the winner using the random number generator? How shall we know which person/email was assigned which number? We will record record each noted email address on a spreadsheet and the random number generator will generate which number wins. This will be recorded live and then posted here as proof.

Hey everyone,
Just a random question out of curiosity - Has anyone ever purchased something through BitcoinTalk and successfully received the goods?
I know there is a marketplace section but seems like there are scam accounts all over there. Newbie accounts with one post etc.
Interested to hear the responses!

21 million cap in my opinion is not about scarcity and price but instead it is more about having a clear maximum supply and a clear predefined plan for distribution of that supply.
Are you trying to say that 21 million bitcoins are a lot? I disagree with that. There are today near 8 billion people in the world So, if we make the math, there is 0.002625 Bitcoin for each living person. However, world population keep growing at exponential rate. Soon it will be less than 0.002 for each Look at this wikipedia image https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_populationI dont think he was implying that, but great point on your end. One to three BTC is going to be life changing in a decade.

I am selling Bitcoin and Ethereum at the best possible rates via P2P trading. I will beat any offering you find on LocalBitcoins, Paxful, Vertex.market and Local Coin Swap. I will only trade through trusted P2P trading platforms and willing to trade on platforms of your choice.
DM me here, or post on the thread to get trades open. Happy to have phone calls to verify my identity.
Look forward to hearing from all of you. Bitcoin forever.

I like the design of your website, for me in UI is very good, it's just that the font you use is not good enough in my opinion, rather impressed abstract. Maybe promotion will help build a community on your website so that you can compete with the same market. I haven't explored the features and tried it yet, so for UX I can't give my opinion.
yeah the font thing we get a lot. its a easy thing to change and we are looking into it. Regarding community: we are as we speak planning the main marketing plan and it will be quite extensive and over a longer period of time. This however, does not include the community reach out and we are very keen to work with people directly. Vertex is a platform for the crypto community meaning we want to do it how the community wants it. As a CEO i just make sure its taken care of in the right way. Also converting non cryptousers into cryptousers is a goal that we pursue and the community can help vertex, to achieve this Converting non-crypto users should be a major focus for all trading platforms. It is their job to drive more economic activity in crypto and very important that we the big companies fit this into their marketing plan.

After local bitcoins forced kyc i have been waiting for something to take their place, but building a reputation in a new site like this take time, and i'll wait until there are some trusted parties to trade with. But there's something i have been thinking about; if there are known scams selling their coins p2p and i don't know about it but just buy them, would the regulated exchanges freeze my account if i try to trade those flagged coins without knowing they are stolen funds? If you bought the coins, you did nothing wrong. The person with the scammed coins will be in trouble if they are caught, not you. How would they verify that tokens are stolen?

Buying fake accounts is one thing, but avoiding personal KYC in general is another thing (extremist!).
I think avoiding KYC is actually a good thing because it shows that people care about their private information, which is something you can't erase from an exchange's server once you give it to them. Another thing is that we have seen various exchanges outsource KYC verification to third party services most people haven't ever heard of, but when we do hear about them, it's because they got hacked and a lot of data has been stolen. I can't stress enough how important it is that people should value their private information more. It's not in your best interest that criminals abuse your name or that verification services sell your information to third parties. The issue is that people do not take their privacy seriously enough. If we really cared about privacy, people would not be using Facebook. I would stress that Financial privacy is probably the most important thing out of everything. So platforms like Bisq and Vertex really do matter. I also believe scams and frauds become successful only due to the ignorant and careless nature of common people. They are not very serious rather do not consider every related bit of information important. There is nothing bad in using any platform unless you provide more than what you should. The most secure way is to go for secure options in every domain and provide as less info as possible. Simple as that!

I got scammed on LocalBitcoins and started looking for new p2p trading platforms in South Africa and came across Vertex Market ( https://vertex.market ) as they posted on BitcoinTalk. Here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5194938.new#newHas anyone used them before? I have already made a couple of small trades which all worked but nothing over $100 because I’m a little scared putting in large amounts on a platform I just found. The platform works great but I just want to know if anyone else has used it and if anything, bad has happened? It will probably be my go-to trading platform but need to confirm first. Possibilities of getting scammed in local bitcoin is very very less unless you accepted a payment which is reversible like paypal. Is this way you got scammed because I don't know what actually the vertex market means. You can report the user to localbitcoin support staff if he is still using the same account. It must have been a PayPal transaction. Its the only potential way of me seeing a scam actually taking place.
