Infinitecoin is going to jump high in next couple of months.
More news coming soon.

Can't even sync that crap propperly. Needs a wallet update for sure.

Better don't send coins right now. We need everyone on the same chain. Hope we get this sorted out quickly. Where is the compiled new wallet?
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: May 09, 2015, 05:40:03 AM
I've just let Ocminer know. Maybe he'll offer a pool.
I think we need at least three pools to keep the network decentral enough.

edit: coinking has been notified too

Looks like everything went successful! Really great!
167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yay or Nay to Increasing Block Size to 20mb? on: May 06, 2015, 05:02:24 PM
Creating lots of issues with 20MB blocks.
-Bad syncing
-more centralisation
-vulnerable to dos
-potentially huge blockchain, too large to store for most people. So newcomers will less likely bother
-no more use over TOR
-Possible fork into 2 chains

and so on and so forth. Just bloating the chain is hardly genius.

169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Labs 700K fine. Haha. But How Would Others Do in the Same Situation? on: May 06, 2015, 03:16:05 AM
This is a good thing as it clearly seperates centrally controled companies from really decentral coins.
If you're not decentral, you pay.
No idea why the world would need companies that centrally run crypto. It's a contradiction anyways.

This is just a blast to centralization so it's actually a good thing.

That would be a goldmine for the one who would offer it in a professional way.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinion on . . . on: May 06, 2015, 02:20:36 AM
Hello guys, although I have just registered here I have been holding some cryptocurrencies for a while now. (Starting in mid 2013)
I've never got the tech-side aspects though and never stepped into altcoins (except for LTC and DOGE), as I never actually saw them as anything else but pump and dump ripoffs.
So lately I have sold all my DOGE for BTC and have been looking for some Alts that will take the place in my holdings (long term).
After reading a lot of threads on this board I pretty much pinned it down on NxT, XEM and Stellar.
The Problem I see is that I read scam here, scam there, in every thread. It's like a common catchphrase on this board.
This makes it hard for people like me, which don't have as much knowledge about cryptos to actually decide where to get into the market.

So, please excuse if there have been threads like this already, but can you give me your (honest) opinion on NxT, XEM, Stellar and possibly others, which you may recommend for a long term holding?
I know there is no promise that any of these will be paying off, nor I expect any of you to tell me the future, but I'd like to have some more knowingly opinions than mine.

Thanks in advance.  Smiley

Nxt: could be around for a little longer
XEM: depends. Too early to say. Could go both directions pretty quickly
Stellar: probably not technically mature yet

Recommendation: follow link in my signature. Uno is a simple and easy to use coin without much bells and whistles. It's about store of value and good medium of exchange. Money-theory, you know? What's a super innovative coin worth when it has a high inflation?
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: May 05, 2015, 11:25:39 PM

The next halving will occur around May 7, 2015.

is this still accurate?

Yes, i believe it is. Halving should occur next 1200 blocks, or roughly 50 hours from now. So it will be late evening 7th may or early morning 8th of may.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: May 02, 2015, 09:57:18 PM
Did anyone else notice other unusual dumps around the same time as the UNO dump?

ZET and - makes me LOL to even type this - Cryptsy Points dumped in a big way around the same time as UNO. Dash also a little but that wasn't nearly as dramatic. Coincidence?

Flappycoin (lol) exactly same dump. Also pretty big.

I think we handled the flashcrash pretty well. Shows how strong the Uno market is. Well done, guys.

Thus, A Wiccan Viet Cong noob whale with a mortgage payment due hacked someone's account and is shaking out weak hands to set up a huge pump.

Hi Gus,

You are assuming it is a noob trader.

I frankly do not know exactly what to assume.  It could be:

1.  A noob trader
2.  Somebody with a mortgage to pay.
3.  A whale performing a final shakeout of weak hands before a daring pump up.
4.  A hacked account

Or something I haven't thought of.

Thus, I sit tight.  I don't pretend to be able to call tops and bottoms.  I have a great average price now of about .0114.  So I am cool just sitting.  Chasing things up or down can get expensive.

I wait much more than I trade.

Takes all kinds to make a market.  Some like to catch falling knives.  I prefer to pick them up safely off the floor by the handle with gloves and safety goggles on.

Cheers,

Gekko

I think it was a hacked account. Because if someone had rent to pay they would still not sell 600 Uno at the ripple market for that price. That was extremely odd.

The dump happened at Walpurgis night btw which makes it even more strange. Don't know if you're familiar with that? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walpurgis_Night

So there is one more option: it was a witch  Tongue

Chart technicals need not apply

Yeah... chart technical's ... this is like a couple (several?) whales (?).

What's the occasion?

Z

What goes down must come up. Sellers had a long session now (several weeks). Panic dumpers had their opportunities to do so. Sellresistance is low. Halving is coming up. This isn't exactly a dead cat. More a flashcrash. I'm not worried at all.
The dump screwed with the TA. I don't need to honor the dump. It's not like this was an intelligent trader or something (sold 600 Uno for less than 10$). So why honor his move? Likely was a hacked account.
I'm ignoring this shit. Simple as that.  Wink

Uno went into the right wallets. I don't see a reason why we shouldn't be at 0.015 to 0.02 next week.

You do what you want. I'm buying now so i don't have do moan later.  Wink

Hi Gus,

I too am ignoring this and agree that something big is about to happen.  I am not convinced we have seen the bottom yet though.

I will join you buying in a few more days if I am right.  If I am wrong, I am just enjoying the roller coaster ride with what I have in hand.

I am giving it a few days for the other shoe to drop.

Cheers,

Gekko

Lol. I don't believe in shoes. Fear is as bad as greed, basically. You really think a noob trader like this has another 5k to drop? I don't think so.
