The Pandacoin (PND) multipool automatically switches between coins to mine based on difficulty and price variations in order to be as profitable as possible for the miners. For payout, the multipool computes the proportional share of each miner over rounds that last four hours. Once a round is complete, and after the mined blocks become mature, the multipool exchanges all coins for Pandacoin (PND). Please note that due to the time required for block maturation, deposits and withdrawals on exchanges, payouts for a round are processed one hour after the end of the next one. The multipool also apply a fee of 1.25%, in addition to the exchange and transactions fees required by the operation Wallet version 2.0.2 is now available. Mandatory wallet update!Wallet version 2.0.2 is a mandatory update which corrects the issues that you have experienced during the PoS switch-over. It is now available on https://github.com/pandacoin-official/pandacoin, http://thepandacoin.org and as binary. A few things to consider before updating: 1. You NEED to back up your wallet.dat. The software will automatically do a copy but it's better to be sure. 2. The wallet will take around 10 minutes reindexing so please be patient. 3. The wallet might crash and give an error after importing (Windows 7 has been tested successfully). This is okay - just start the wallet again and you should be good to go. The wallet is available to download under the following links: win32 standalone| win32 setup| mac| linux| srcPandacoin (PND) has successfully transitioned to 100% PoS from 100% PoW!Pandacoin (PND) had begun their PoW phase since Feb 16, 2014 and has been mined for 95 days. Current PoS Difficulty: PoS Difficulty: 759.10599129What is PoS Difficulty and why does it matter? - PoS difficulty is an indicator of how many wallets are open with many unspent transactions sitting in them. "error loading blkindex.dat"
Could you be more specific?

sooo nothing has been minting, as in, my wallet has been open since the 21st and just a few orphaned blocks the first day and that's it.
Unlocked, says it's staking but nada. How long do I need to wait?
If you mouse over the staking symbol, it will tell you "Expected time to reward is [...]" in the tooltip. Or, navigate to Help > Debug Window > Console. And enter: getstakinginfo Which should output: { "enabled" : true, "staking" : true, "errors" : "", [...] "expectedtime" : <expected time to stake a block, in seconds> } Now it says 1 day, but on the 21st it said 2 days. That was 4 days ago? Difficulty swings can account for that but the indicator is never exact, only an estimate. Make sure that you're updated to version 2.0.2 and you will receive your stake eventually.

I'm having trouble getting the freenode commands to register to work. I was able to change my nickname but the register command doesn't appear to be having any effect. Was wondering if these instructions are correct for registering at #pandacoinpnd? http://plone.org/support/chat/how-to-registerThe register command works fine. freenode automatically sends you an email with a verification code and instructions on how to activate the nickname. After that you will be able to identify with nickserv.

lol uggle , you found it, where are our panda brothers to help vote for us?! I'm not sure actually, I posted in their official thread here on bitcointalk and in their IRC channel but no responses yet. It seems like you've been mixing up Pandacoin (PANDA) (not us) and Pandacoin (PND) (us). We're here to help but obviously we're not present on the side of the coin we are competing against. Our IRC channel is #PandacoinPND on freenode. i dont see panda in the voting list? On coinpayments? yes. you said "we're not present on the side of the coin we are competing against" so i assumed you meant there No, we made coinpayments a few months ago. Added this to my post: Edit: To clarify - we are not competing against UTC, but against PANDA.

Swisscex, I haven't been able to withdraw PND from them for days! Scratch that, looks like it's working again, except I'm not receiving the confirmation email like Slaithe Why not try and open a ticket? They usually are very fast to respond (except maybe Sundays).

Small visual update for OSX users. The titlebar is now dark instead of light which I think looks better overall.

Check it out if you would like to know more about how PoS and staking works: http://thepandacoin.org/doc/pos_faq.pdf nice job. Very nicely written, it will help anyone who doesn't completely understand POS gw dev team. chinese version soon? it be useful. PND Chinese help plz ^^ Agreed. Well written article. But, you could've saved yourself some work since other people have already written about this. Here's an article written nearly a year ago that basically says the same thing. https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/700-proof-of-stake-explained-rough-draft/We're focusing on PND wallet specifically though and can address new additions in it with explanations directly. As the wallet evolves we can also edit the document to be fitting.
