Attention everybody who mined on pool.execoin.net at our launch!

As you know, pool did not withstand mining at low difficulty with blocks being found every couple of seconds.
Unfortunately, we had shares count for last round only, so we took 50% of pool's wallet balance and divided them according to shares count for last round, and the remaining 50% we split evenly among miners who entered their payout addresses.

6381 EXE have been paid, please check your wallets.

If you received slightly more than expected, please consider it as a bounty for an early adoption of Execoin, if you think that you got less - please contact us.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Pool will reopen soon with 0% fee.

Attention everyone!

Execoin had a successfull launch and keeps going well! But now we need more aggressive measures to make our coin more popular, reliable and secure.

We decided to open a fund for further Execoin development so everyone who willing to donate could do it.

Current schedule:

- Execoin needs p2pool, so we're ready to pay a bounty to somebody who can modify p2pool software for Execoin as soon as possible.
- Additional DNS seeders on domains, independent from developers (will be incorporated in code in future versions of the execoind, i. e. wallet) are required to protect distributed and independent nature of the network. We already have 3 seeders working in different regions, but they are on the single domain and we need more to provide fault tolerance.

Amounts will be determined later.

If somebody wants to do something without bounty - this will be considered as contribution.

Donations can be done to the following address: EZF3TXHFEwK58cjESPewcPHk9pZ5M6nDBF

Thank you for your support!

Attention everyone!

In regards of current voting at Coinedup reddit page. We found out there is a problem with this thread - it's not visible anywhere on coinedup subreddit(neither "New" nor "Hot"), only accessible by direct link. Looks like it's been banned or filtered by reddit filter. We tried to contact subreddit moderator twice but still no reply.

Please try to contact moderator of http://www.reddit.com/r/CoinedUp and explain the problem. Maybe more complaints will help. Link to our voting thread: http://redd.it/1z736s

It's not visible or accessible any other way than a direct link! This should be fixed, otherwise nobody can see it including coinedup administration.

Thank you!

Attention miners!

exe.coinpool.cc became too big, please unload it a little bit by moving to other pools please! BTW, new pool just been added to the list:

I don't really understand why people feel the need to ask what makes this coin different from Vertcoin. All of the information you need is in the OP and on the site. It has much faster transaction times on the consumer side and improves ASIC resistance with a more aggressive N factor change schedule, on the mining side. The transaction confirmation speed IMO is the main selling point for users. I seriously doubt anyone is going to attempt to develop an ASIC for Vertcoin, so I don't really see that as a big worry. It's going to be tough to unseat Vertcoin, it has a fast-growing community.

It needs some marketing tho.. There are a lot of nice products/coins, which suffer, because of bad marketing. If the dev. wants my advice... tweak a little bit your Twitter acc. and Facebook page (https[Suspicious link removed]coin, https[Suspicious link removed]coin). At the moment they are not looking very serious, right? It will take you 5-10 minutes to do that and another maybe 10-15 minutes per day to keep the community informed through them. I don't believe in ppl who are saying: "We have a lot of work on new features and don't have time for this.. it will be updated soon...." or "Yeah, we know that."... It will be better to be done while the coin is young and interesting...

P.S. And I think that website should be also tweaked...

This is not criticism... it's just an opinion.

It's only a few days old, a lot of that will come. Vertcoin is just now starting to get its act together marketing-wise, with the logo redesign.

Marketing is our priority because it makes coin popular and well-known. Everything will be done very soon, we're working 20 hours a day and almost had no sleep for last 3 days. Please be patient!

what is the difference to Vertcoin? I see no major change or benefit compared to VTC?

Execoin has a number of differences. It's faster and has more reasonable schedule of N-factor increase. Unlike Vertcoin, we've made our own N-factor schedule, not cloned or taken from anywhere else. If you look at sources, you will find lot of differences.

But yes, both Vertcoin and Execoin are ASIC-resistant and based on the same principle of ASIC-resistance.

I really like the coin and even bought some, but I am a bit worried about diff re-target time.

We're working on that. We're thinking either to make shorter re-target or implement KGW. Will keep you informed.

Perfect launch!

Except: there is no bin for linux and it doesn't compile, either.
chmod +x configure.sh makes autogen.sh at least start, but there is more issues and I've got other things to do.

I don't get it. Putting so much effort in your work and then cutting out half of the heavy miners. Going back to vertcoin.

let us know, if you have a bin, though.

Cheers, Stefan

New miners please use pools with least hashpower!

exe.coinpool.cc has reached 50% of the network hashrate so to support stability and security of execoin network please choose one of these pools:

exe.coinsprofit.com
exe.ecurie.io

Thank you!

coin pools should close registration then.  what is the network hash rate of this coin currently?  how come its not on any of the larger pools?  im interested but not totally sure I want to point my miners here.

Execoin is based on modified N-factor Scrypt algorithm, so not every large pool can take it, plus it's multipool-proof. Pool owners have to make pools specially for Execoin. Those who already own Vertcoin pools can make it easier than those who own pools for regular scrypt coins. You can point your miners to one of the pools mentioned above. We already sent a message to coinpools.cc owners to ask them to stop registration for a while. Thank you.

Dear miners and traders!

New coins exchange LazyCoins will be launched very soon and this is going to be one of the biggest exchanges. And it is confirmed that Execoin will be there too!

We would like to ask everyone to help LazyCoins to reach as many followers at twitter as we can by tonight. Please vote here: https://twitter.com/LazyCoins

Thank you for your support of Execoin!

I'd be happy to help, as this looks like an interesting and unique coin (for a change). But how do you explain the difference between this one and other N-factor Vert/Scrypt-Jane coins, other than the fact that it's ASIC/multipool resistant? Is there a dedicated dev team behind it and what are the plans for the future (other than getting listed on all exchanges, increasing in value etc.)?
Don't get me wrong, I'm mining it right now, but I'd like to know more.

For now, major short term goal is to create a large Execoin community. This is a key factor to make execoin really successfull and to have grounds to implement global plans for the future :-)
Current short term goals: improving stability and providing even better security of coin infrastructure. For example, we're planning to implement more DNS seeders on independent domains (not related to development team). Also, we need more independent full nodes. We have a dedicated developers team, but we beleive community should be a part of development and improvement process and will appreciate your participation. We have an idea to integrate execoin into everyday online payment systems, but it should become very popular and well known before we can start discussing implementation of this idea.

Differences between Execoin and, say, Vertcoin are in modifications of the algorithm. Execoin has faster block time and so the faster confirmation of the transactions. Execoin's N-factor schedule was created from scratch, we have the next change of N way earlier than Vertcoin to be ahead of newer ASICs.
