No, it's a high scoring ground no matter what. Tonight RCB did bowl well and 2 bouncers per over rule did play its part and it's working in favor of bowlers, which is an incredible addition IMO, otherwise batters feast on bowlers every single time. So it's just due to the beginning of the season, I guess. But players mentioned that pitch doesn't looks like the usual pitch and there is some uneven bounce as well as ball slides off the pitch makes run scoring a little bit difficult. RCB win the match in the end, again great knock from DK their Imp sub did the job perfectly. RCB is struggling in the middle phase that needs to be sorted out if they want to achieve their forever dream. |

I feel making Hardik as a captain has created rift within the MI and when there is lack of unity there is potential for downfall. It would have been a different thing had it was Rohit who himself decided that Hardik should be a captain and asked fans to support him.
MI should have done in the manner that CSK followed, but still they backstabbed Rohit and without informing him, they removed him from the captaincy position. Not only Rohit, but many players were unhappy from this. Pandya also treated very rudely to Rohit by making him field at multiple positions. Pandya was bought because he was a great finisher, but still he wasn’t able to finish the match. Hence, it’s a well deserved loss for Hardik. Different team management and every management has own way of handling it and the way they took lacks support from fans which created rift all around the media but cricketers commented that there is no way management made Hardik as captain without discussing with Rohit but we never know what happened until the persons involved in it expresses. |

What am anti climax, MI were comfortable until 16bl overs then the Rashid came and created a mental block by bowling and economical over and from that MI stopped scoring boundaries that lead GT to win this match from no win position.

MI came into the game strongly by building a big partnership after two early wickets. Unavailability of Shami is going to be a problem that cannot be resolved because the replacement bowler Umesh is getting hits over fence and what you guys think about the buy of Spencer Johnson by GT? It looks like he was forced to be in XI because of the price tag alone.

GT middle order kind of weak due to the absence of Pandya even though other players can fill his spot had starts but failed to convert into big scores. On the other hand MI looks complete and multiple options in their bowling won't let the batsmen to settle down at all.

LOL.. finally it looks like Riyan Parag is going to get launched in this edition of the Indian Premier League. For the last 10 seasons or so, Rajasthan Royals management had provided a regular spot for him in the playing XI, despite getting nothing in return. It looks like he has finally managed to make use of his opportunities. And given the fact that he has powerful backers in the BCCI, I expect him to feature in the national team without much delay. Another player with powerful backers (Sanju Samson) is batting from the other end.
I don't think what made you think Parag was included in Playing XI because of influence in the BCCI? Riyan Parag usually comes at lower down the order that's why he can't make performances in terms of stats but he always comes in handy at crucial matches and he had very good domestic tournaments this year which forced RR team management to promote to his natural batting order and expect more in stats. |

It's more like a hit and miss case. In IPL, most of the players are not really keen on reading the ball from the release or off the pitch they just want to slog it over the fence everytime. Some players get success too with this technique by dancing down the track and not letting the ball to speak while few masterclass spinners use this as an advantage to keep taking wickets. This is why Rashid khan is deadly bowler in T20 but less effective in longer formats of cricket. |
