Our goal is to add coins based on community demand.

Here's how it will work.

Round 1: Every week we will run a poll on [Suspicious link removed]

Round 2:  The poll within Bittrex will consider votes from active users only.  Our inaugural poll within Bittrex will have SYN, XPM, SBC, MRS, PANDA, and whichever coin makes it out of Round 1 this week.

If you have any suggestions for additional coins to add to this poll, please ask.

You should support EMU coin Smiley Smiley

Added EMU to the poll.

Looks nice, but im staying with BTC-e, I cant trust new exchanges, and gox news not even old.

But Never had a problem, so staying put.

But your site does look nice, more professional.

No problem, we understand.  Keeping checking back with us!

I did make an account last night, Notice you guys don't do BTC/USD or any other currency, are you planning to add it?

Fiat is on our road map but we want to support crypto-crypto currency transactions first.

DRK, HUC, BC are very promising and especially  BC lacks exchanges. Btw you mentioned that exchange is US-based, but I could not find any information about your FinCen registration, so why USA then? IMO it's suicide to operate such business in US without proper registration..

Hi Armando,

Thanks for the coin suggestions.  We're considering all coins and will likely have a voting page up on our site.

As for FinCen, we are committed to legal compliance and are in the processing of getting our FinCen registration. Fincen allows a grace period for new businesses to meet their compliance rules.  I agree it is suicide to run an exchange in the US without following the process outlined by the US government for Crypto-Businesses.

We've added ReddCoin and iCoin support prelaunch and NXT is right on their heels this weekend.  What other coins should we support?

What else do you guys/girls have in store for us? What can we get excited about? I heard something about a voting systems for other Alts?

Hi Coingun,

We're focused on reliability and security right now rather than tossing in buggy features.  We don't want to be one of those places that hype features that take forever to come, e.g. "USD COMING SOON".  Having said that, we'll be releasing a new status page today that gives our users a quick glance at how our wallets and markets are performing at any given time.

Check out this screen shot:

We're also opening up beyond our 500 invites as we make the final push to the public release by loosening our restrictions on invites.  As a way to gauge interest in new coins for our market, we've created promotional codes for those communities.  If we get enough sign ups for a given promotional code, we'll add that coin before launch.  If you'd like to see a new coin listed in our exchange, please contact me.  In the lead right now is NXT, who has 40% of the required sign ups.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Trading pair suggestions for Bittrex on: February 19, 2014, 01:37:51 AM
Built and operated in the United States, Bittrex is the next generation crypto trading platform created by security professionals. We are crypto enthusiasts bringing more than 50 years of combined security and development experience to the trading community from companies, including Microsoft, Amazon, Qualys, and BlackBerry.

As we get closer to our public launch, we're looking for feedback on which currency pairs we should add to our exchange. We’re looking for coins that are novel and have constructive changes to the crypto-coin concept.  With the security and redundancy we put into place for each coin, there is unfortunately an incremental cost that we have to take into account.  Due to this cost, we also look for coins with active user bases and stable wallet code.

We currently support trading on the following:
