164  Economy / Digital goods / satoshimines.com betting calculator on: June 04, 2014, 10:50:10 PM
Hi everyone,

I am playing on satoshimines.com for quite some time and was actually able to gain couple of bitcoin out of it.
The game is simple, it's a mine sweeper, there are 1,3 or 5 mines hidden on a 5x5 board, you need to guess where they are. Each time you hit a "clean" squere (one without a mine) your initial wager is multiplied, the more you guess right - the higher it's multiplied.

My problem was there is nowhere on the site a complete list of multipliers which can help develop a tactic.

So, I made one Smiley

My tactic on the site is very simple, always aim at 1-5% gain, attempt to be on the gain and withdraw when you hit 50% gain.

I made up a simple calculator, my original calculator was based on node.js and used to pull the data directly from the site, but couple of months ago, the site added an anti-DDoS mechanism which blocked it.
So I made a new one based on excel (and a lot of copying and pasting Smiley ).

I am now working on a screen capture of my method the serve as a proof it's actually working.

In the meantime I've decided to offer the original excel for sale, for just 0.01BTC, it's a simple spreadsheet that allow you to calculate the amount you should bet to get to a specific gain, and keep track of your gain.

If you like to have it - http://satoshibox.com/538d65e04c347b47dc00835f
You are also more than welcome to redistribute it using the affiliate link - http://satoshibox.com/538d65e04c347b47dc00835f/partner (you will get 40% of each sale).

The main reason I don't just publish it is that I've spent a lot of time working on it and testing it to make sure it's actually works Smiley

If you like to test the game for free, you can simply go to the site - satoshimines.com and start a game without depositing, you'll be able to play for game money and bet any amount you'ld like.

If you decide to play for Bitcoins, I'll appriciate it if you use my referral link :-) http://satoshimines.com/a/BDQ2

I get tempted to gamble my couple of coins all the time aas I see people win lots of coin but I dont want to lose

Then play for game money, work out a method that works for you and only then put in real money.
and always - only play an amount you can handle losing (10-20% of your total capital) never more than that.

If you use my calculator, you can protect your money and reduce the risk of losing Smiley

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615955.0

Is reducing the risk of losing a nice way of saying with your system you still lose?  I think long run the house always wins Smiley

The biggest problem with any gambling site is that you become "trigger happy" when you win, starting to increase your wages more and more.
With my table (and actually with any record keeping) you can reduce the risk.
The most important thing to remember is not to try and get to the x1700 gain, but to make 1-5% each round and never bet on more than half your gain.

I actually had an automated not that was able to gain 15-20% an hour, but since they've added the anti ddos mechanism it stopped working. Once I find a workaround, I will ofer this one as well, but it will be much more than 0.01btc Smiley
168  Economy / Games and rounds / SatoshiMines cheat-sheet on: June 03, 2014, 06:35:12 AM
Hi all,

Some time ago I've published this simple excel spreadsheet that help you calculate optimal bets on satoshi mines, and help keep tight money management.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615955

It was downloaded several times, but I would still like more feedbacks, to see how I can make it perfect.

If you download it, please let me know what you think via PM.

P.S. before you ask, It is currently 0.01 per download, I will not give it for free because - a. I've worked hard on this. b. other people already paid for a copy, it will be unfair.

Thanks!

A betting calculator... for 0.05 BTC!?!? o.O  Damn, sorry man, but I don't think anyone is going to buy that.
I remember satoshimines was pretty much the first real bitcoin gambling game I played, playing it again today Smiley  Thanks for reminding me Tongue

Well, I spent many weeks, even months on making the calculator. With this calculator you can easily double your bitcoins and get the 0.05 back in less then an hour.

I will take the price down to 0.005 for a few days to get feedbacks.

176  Economy / Gambling / SatoshiMines.com simple bet calculator on: May 19, 2014, 02:31:19 PM
Hello everyone,

I've previously published the table of betting odds of satoshimines (which for some reason are missed from the site).

I decided to published a simplified version of the method I use to make a small but steady gain from this site, this is an Excel file i use to calculate the optimal bet on each round.

you can find the file here - http://satoshibox.com/53ee4d724c347be897008362

Please note that this file is only used to calculate bets, it will not change your luck or allow you to guess better, but if you use it right, you can minimize losses and make a small gain.

I've tried to keep the file macro and VBA free, it only contain web query to check the game initial deposit and the withdrawals made to a "Safe" address. those are read only queries and there is no risk when using them, but you can always enter the amounts manually or not at all.

please use discretion when using this file. i take no responsibility for any loses.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me using PM.

EDIT: The site started using bits for value instead of BTC, the file was updated.

Thanks! I went from .034 to .05 and then went to withdraw and it takes 3 confirmations! UGH. Now I have to wait. Smiley

The 3 confirmations are just about 20-30 minutes.

feel free to tip :-)
178  Economy / Gambling / Re: Satoshimines.com prizes list and winning odds on: April 30, 2014, 09:01:01 PM
good idea!
The most impotent tip - Never, ever, ever! bet on more then 5% of what you deposit. You can recoup 5% on 3-4 rounds. more then that is almost impossible.
179  Economy / Gambling / Re: Satoshimines.com prizes list and winning odds on: April 30, 2014, 09:38:06 AM
I have also been playing on this site for a while now. Have lost more than I have won. Care to share your tactics?

Set up a target (no more than 5%), calculate the how much you should play and never play more than 5 squares (on 3 mines game).
180  Economy / Lending / Re: Small loan via bitbond for server fee on: April 27, 2014, 04:51:44 AM
In the unlikely event you're not a straight up scammer,
I'll give you this advice:

If you have to beg for $10 on a forum then
you should not be trying to start a business.

You are vastly underfunded and you will fail.
Write a business plan and acquire the necessary
capital.  Otherwise you're waiting your time.

You are absolutely correct, asking for bitcoins on this forum is wrong. won't happen again.
The bond was 80% financed without this forum, I believe it will be fully financed in the next few days without this forum.

We are not underfunded, we are currently not funded at all and everyone doing their part for free. we would like to keep it this way until we have at least a mock-up. Going out to meet investors when the project is only "on paper" could bring the finance, but could also bring setbacks.
