161  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: March 06, 2014, 02:47:28 AM
Okay I think I have it almost figured out now  You have to specify -D 0:0 for example. Found the list of commands just by running a .bat with oclvanityge.exe pause, then it lists available commands for the running .bat
162  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: March 06, 2014, 02:29:24 AM
Hi everyone, I'm having tons of fun with this, but need some help. With oclvanitygen, i made a .bat and added pause so I can actually read the thing for a moment.

I see it's recognizing my 3 GPUs and CPU just fine okay good. I have a AMD FX-9370 8-core 4.8 Ghz cpu, an R9 280x (another coming tomorrow yay) and two Asus 7870's. So I have plenty of power. In fact my cpu is solving tons of fun addresses with vanitygen64 so I have that all figured out.

What do I add to my .bat file to get it to "work" on say GPU 0, my powerful one? I can't seem to get oclvanitygen mining on anything. And the OP is super vague and missing all this info on what to tell oclvanitygen.

Thanks!

Try different devstrings. The -D option lets you select which computing device to run on.

okay cool so something like "oclvanitygen.exe -d 0 111" oh wait I already tried that, -d 0

Sorry for the rage venting. I'm sure you're working hard. I don't even want the 140 missing coins, whoever got them can keep them as my gift. On a bight(er?) note, congrats on frequently being near the top of the coinwarz profitability charts.

Okay if anyone remembers a few days ago I posted a screenshot of finding a block, it showing up in Transaction Count on the wallet Overview tab, but no coins ever arrived. No popup, no mined transaction, just a total mystery.

Its happened 4 times now. I wanna beat these devs with nerf bats. This is four blocks now I've found that didn't get credited.

How can I keep mining this dumb coin when the network isn't paying my found blocks? I'm owed 140 Coino coins now and I know I'll never see them. What a huge waste of my resources.

Look here at the screen, it shows the correct number of transactions in "Number of Transactions: 9" that's 3 that I got credited properly for, 2 withdraws, and plus the 4 missing blocks. You can see in cgminer I've just found another block, that's 2 accepted blocks this morning that are missing.

Then, next pic, on the Transactions tab, missing 4 mining transactions. Missing 140 coins. Oh but I'm sure the devs are making plenty of money right?

WHERE THE F ARE MY MISSING COINS

Cool coin! I'm way late to the party, but I set up today and hit my first block right away! Proof you don't need a big rig to solomine this one. Got two 7870s and a 280x. That free 5000 is really rewarding feeling!

Ah I didn't know all that about Maxcoin, I missed that one totally. Thankfully by the looks of it ha! Anyway, c'mon lets get this silly thing on the road here! I'm ready for something new and fresh to solomine.

If not for these great comments there would be no reason to even look at new shitcoins.

+1 for more failed launches.

All time record holders.

#1 Maxcoin
#2 GPUCoin
#3 the others, lots of them.

+1 for this, my feeling exactly, although I was all-in for both failed GPUCoin launches and the 3 additional failed launches of it behind the scenes. I think GPUCoin by far gets #1 fail lol
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | Reboot Sunday March 9th on: March 04, 2014, 06:39:48 PM
Ohhh okay, I thought it was really odd that I only made 40k coins last night (2nd lanuch). I didn't even know about the other behind-the-scenes fubar launches lol. Alright that clears up about everything I think I care to know about this coin anymore. Maybe by the 9th I'll be ready to try again, maybe not.

For the love of God, next time, can we not put the password buried on page 112 or 196 or 247 so only the 10 people on that page can open the wallets. Updating the OP with the password at launch time would be a genius idea lol. /end rant

Anyone like to explain to a coin noob in plain terms exactly why the (re?)launch failed? It looked okay to me, we were mining coins right? I know it's kinda dumb, but I am missing something...
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin on: March 04, 2014, 07:03:52 AM
Suprnova has nothing so far...

Suprnova was 30 behind on the last launch... those asses. I was alsready solomining for 25 minutes before they finally switched and I jumped in

Best re-re-relaunch ever!
The devs are re-re-retards
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin on: March 04, 2014, 06:23:52 AM
Third time's a charm? Also, 9 million useless coins from first fail, 50,000 useless coins from 2nd launch, at this rate I'll have 10 useless coins from 3rd launch woohoo!

Hey guys don't forget to sign up with ATOMIC-TRADE !!!

Be one of the first to get in on GPUcoin trading action.  Amazing exchange with BTC/USD pair.  Be prepared on relaunch!

They just added AUR/USD too pretty awesome.

Atomic Trade seems was micro of an exchange, only 4 BTC volume recorded?  Not big enough market me thinks

see its that attitude of why it is still small, there is a great dev behind it, people see new small exchange and pass it by however it has shares and USD in the the US wire and ACH it only takes a hour to get verified if you live in the states also.

Bryon just doesn't get marketing as he is a code monkey and I rather be ground floor there now then try and get in later when it comes down to getting fees. He also takes the users ideas in to consideration and values input and is willing to answer any questions.

Also the volume right now is around 30 btc still low but at least consider the exchange when GPUcoin hits it
I signed up last night, and I like the USD ACH ability Smiley I know I'll be going there more and more now.

ugh, stop with the eye rape, pick a better font, crunch harder!
+1 it's so 2001 lol
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | Re-Launch 03MAR14 23:00 EST on: March 04, 2014, 12:23:32 AM
The decision to launch at 23:00 EST was to allow for people to be at their homes instead of at work for the scheduled time.  This is a world wide market and it's just a reality that it's always going to be a bad time for some one.

The IPO e-mails will go out asking for wallet addresses as soon as feasibly possible.

This is still a scrypt-n coin and we now have 4 dedicated nodes world wide to alleviate the issues we had yesterday.

A big thanks for the new Dev team for getting everything together in such a timely manor.

When will the wallet be available to set up solo mining or just get an address?
Probably about 22:59, just in time for the diff to be up to 1200 by the time you get it opened up Smiley
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | Re-Launch 03MAR14 23:00 EST on: March 03, 2014, 08:21:56 PM
SO vertminer n scrypt or cgminer and normal scrypt finally HuhHuhHuh?

Scrypt-N

OakPools, do you run the Oakpool mining pool? I just signed up there. What the heck are we mining until the GPU launch?

Any updates on a fixed wallet? Can I keep the old .conf? i.e. same nodes?
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | Launch 02MAR14 | IPO Available on: March 02, 2014, 11:49:43 PM
Aww snap Sad I had solo mined 9 Million coins lol. Thought I was going to get to score a few new GPU's Smiley Oh well, it was fun watching it roll in.

what hashrate?
about 1 M or so, nothing special. just 2 7870's and a 280x, all well tuned though. Was hitting a block a second or something rediculous, I probably broke it. But I left it going and came back and then realized something must be wrong with that. Hence, here
