161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my gambling life started. on: May 04, 2024, 10:50:07 AM
Your experience is not unique. I think majority of gamblers started that way. If not card games then some coinflips. The whole point is that the exposure started with people whom you know personally from childhood to your student days and then your adult life.

You’re right, it’s not a unique situation as most persons unconsciously started gambling with this method. The games might be different but, followed similar pathway to getting introduced into the game. Next, a gambling habit develops.

Gambling though existed prior to your time, this I’m certain of. Right from the BC and AD, gambling have surfaced, been regulated and even taxed. It’s only recently taken a different fold due to the innovations of our time, despite how it’s differently regarded by persons of different culture and popular beliefs, gambling has been with us still.

Now that we eventually realize the inherent activity we’ve been involved in from an early stage, we have to develop a means of control on how it impacts us else, we would be lost.

@trofo - as usual you ignored my question. This season you're just greedy with tips.
Didn't ignore it, I thought you were asking for GW37. I don't think anybody would ever use a TC chip on single GW so I shelved it to answer after all info is known. If you want answer without all the data Haaland or Palmer in GW37, I would go Haaland since he seems on the rise while Palmer seems a bit less dangerous these days.
Haaland on the rise… Just what has he done lately to be on the rise? I’m like last season, I just don’t see Haaland doing any good as much as Isak would do in this GW or the coming GWs. As for Palmer, he might have under performed in his last 2 games but, being the star man for Chelsea puts him in the spotlight to lit the team and his been sought out by most of his team mates now. For Manchester City, I think that person is Foden right now although, Pep’s player rotation can greatly surprise your picked team.

Forgot to do the necessary changes to my team yesterday and was busy watching the Everton game not knowing I had missed my transfer Deadline. All I can do now is hang on to hope!
163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CZ Sentenced, Your Bitcoin in their Custody on: May 04, 2024, 09:56:59 AM
Well but 4 months is a laugh, and he won't go to prison, it's all a consequence of a pact. Although if we think about it more broadly this is part of an attack on privacy, for which it seems to be money laundering anything that has to do with protecting it. And the bad news is that it seems to me that this has only just begun.
It’s more like a plight for the government to have an in on the affairs of exchanges out there where the centralized exchanges would be obligated to allow government agencies have absolute control of exchanges by some policy. Binance is centralized and would always be liable to certain attacks.
Everything just plays in line with, you get too big, you become a game for the government to concentrate their attacks on.

While it might be just 4months sentencing, it should rekindle in the minds of users the risk associated with having your asset left hanging on centralized exchanges. I swipe of the sickle and your cut off from your asset.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we really need to blame fraudsters on: May 03, 2024, 10:20:45 AM
Have you noticed that whenever someone complain or there is an incident of scam they is always a role that was played by the person in that happening
Of course, you must have a role to play that results in an incident else, there wouldn’t be any incident in the first place.

Now, how do you treat an infection, you cut it right from the source. That’s because if you don’t and rather give it a surface treatment, you’ll just have another grow in its place.
Well, this ain’t an infection but, it could be approached in the same way in its treatment. Yeah, you don’t get to get Al scammers from the internet but, it’s the bases that guides our having to teach the young once to be patriotic and morally abide in virtues that would make the space we occupy, either online or offline a safe place to exist.
The surface treat of exposing scam schemes, scam bursting, creating awareness and more would help but, we need to teach our next generation too that these aren’t worth practicing.
165  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Thanks To All forum members on: May 03, 2024, 10:09:27 AM

As much as I might appreciate you to have done well for yourself, scaling some of the ranks here, have got a sense of belong and learned in a way that it doesn’t reflect you just on the forum but in life as well, I will also like to let you know that, these kind of posts don’t do much good to this board.

There was a time we had users that saw the need to celebrate this and that and those users where mostly attacked or seen to be fishing for merit, people had different take on these topics though but, it brought about the need to create a mega thread for users with the need to celebrate or note an event. The thread is on the reputation board, Announce your rank up, merit or any achievement that makes you feel great! by BitcoinGirl.Club. This was in an attempt to reduce low quality posts and avoid opening windows for spammers to take over the thread.
So yeah, just imagine if every other beginner comes up with this sort of thread, we might as well have a problem on our hands.
While this might not be a merit or rank up event, am pretty sure it’s you talking about some achievement that made you feel great, hence it’s a good fit on that thread.

I would advise that you lock this thread and in future, make use of the referenced thread. It’s more appropriate and welcoming.
166  Economy / Speculation / Re: After the dip in crypto, when are we expecting ath? on: May 03, 2024, 09:49:38 AM
With the information I gathered about cryptocurrency, I had interest and decided to buy some coins.
Being fully aware of the volatility of these coins, I was patient and did not panic as their were various degrees of ups and down and was told that this year is the best time to invest in crytocurrency due to the bitcoin halving which has taken place. I have been watching my coins dropping everyday in value thereby inducing fear in me as the value of what I invested has been on the continuous decline.
I do not know how soon they will begin to rise again.
I just hope you haven’t been gathering all the wrong information that would allow you to entertain fear.

Firstly, I’ll like to bring to your consciousness that Bitcoin isn’t a get rich quick scheme and it’s advised that you invest with spare money, not because your going to loose it but, to give you that freewill about your little inputs as investment.

Haven’t said that, there isn’t any definite time for the bulls to come into the market although, available statistics of how long it took the bulls to push price towards an ATH after a halving is roughly a year and few weeks.
You just have no reason to be scared about making profit, it doesn’t matter if price dumps, just know volatility is a part of the market and it would rise when the time is due. What you need is patience not to liquidate your asset based on current market situations. Instead, buy when the market is low.

When you say coin in OP, hope what your referring to is Bitcoin otherwise, all that I’ve said so far doesn’t apply.
167  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit decay on: May 03, 2024, 09:35:33 AM
I've got to find out that there are some profiles that have received whole lots of merits but some of those profiles don't circulate their sendable merits to others profiles thereby allowing the sendable merits to decay and become worthless.
Oh that’s interesting. Exactly how were you able to make these deductions that after earning merits and got them Smerits, it varnishes over time if not used in meriting?

Mind you, you don’t get to see a users Smerit although, you could make some calculations to it from provided data in bpip.org but still, you wouldn’t be accurate always as there could have been some merit activities within a time frame that are washed up after the range.

So how are you finding these data and getting these conclusions.

The reason for sendable merits is for a user to send to other profiles in which they find their posts of good qualities and of Meritable standards but I wonder why some users choose to hoard this sendable merits and allowing it to vanish with time.
Is it a good habit to allow one's sendable merits to decay?
Smerits aren’t sent to profiles, that’s not accurate. They are sent on posts and it is reflected on the post while, accumulated on your profile’s merit log.

A reason why merit are not sent very often is the reverse of what you’ve captioned in your last statement. Posts not being of good quality or meritable standard by a user’s judgement.

Come on Palmer, do something...

I cant see the game but when i see the result i think, ok lets see what Palmer do.... and for my surprise no goal and no assits super sad, and more sad having Son in my team also doing nothing in the match.

Totenham say goodbye to UCL i think after this result.
It’s strange indeed for Palmer not to perform in a DG, perhaps it’s due to his being out in GW35 but he seemed really fit and pretty determined though, his plays and quick thinking yesterday was right and precise. Trying to get most of the passes and direct the game for Chelsea. Palmer nearly assisted Mudryk from one of his runs but, Mudryk didn’t get his R2 right. It was close but, off target. It was a waste of captaincy still, could have gone with Isak.

You missed Nicholas Jackson, he scored today against Tottenham, but it still does not take him out of the group of players who were expected to really perform this season but ended up disappointing us who had him at one point.

If Nicolas Jackson had actually converted all the missed opportunities he had to score, he will be among the candidates currently for the golden boot. Next season may be better for him.
Maybe, just maybe next season else, his just wan terrible attacker. He really needs to build something with Palmer if he hopes to do better or shine. Lots and lots of shooting practice and quick thinking when facing the goalkeeper. That’s what he needs, his positioning ain’t all that bad and his been looked for but, his just got bad finishing, so unreliable but, next season though. Chelsea still needs to sign a proper striker.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 1xbit violated self exclusion terms, do not want to help on: May 02, 2024, 10:06:42 AM
I contact live chat now again today to ask for history of my live chat so that I can have extra proof that I contacted them more then once through live chat to be self excluded to make my case even more stronger - they say it's not possible to send me a history of the live chat, that they do not keep this.

Competely unbelievable. I know all the warnings about this casino but I never had a problem with them and they were actually so nice but this right now is extremely bad customer service.
Am I in the right here or wrong guys?
You never had a problem with them, well now you do and no matter how terrible it may seem, you’re really in it for good. A site that didn’t give much attention to what was been said about it on the forum is a site that wouldn’t give much attention to what you think or say of them as well.
It doesn’t make them any better though, I think they really ought to prioritize their customers here and anywhere they get most of their traffic from as, customers constitute a vital part to their existence.

it’s dumb though, the thing you did. Having issues with a site and yet seeking proof to query them with from them? How does that sound! They obviously wouldn’t hand it to you but, having a term to its policy means, they’ve got something to abide by and going around this to loss a customer isn’t helping the site.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: May 02, 2024, 09:54:56 AM
Granada surprised all betting fans this week by defeating Osasuna 3-0.
Osasuna isn’t Real Madrid, Barcelona, Girona or Atlectico Madrid. I think these are the top qualities of the game that, given the right squad and injury free team, they could undo any mid tier team. Although, there are always chances for the unexpected but then, in a fixture between Granada and Osasuna, I think the result is very much open to either side and you can tell, Granada having to lose any game at this time wouldn’t do them any good. A team that is within the relegation zone is a team that you could expect to be fierce and would play their best in every game just to hold on to whatever hop they’ve got. That is Granada at this time, they need to keep their heads up and that’s what they are up to with the win against Osasuna.
171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 02, 2024, 09:37:18 AM
Even Chelsea win all the rest matches, they still not able to enter Europa League.

Tottenham lost against Arsenal, Newcastle, Fulham and Wolves, only Arsenal is strong, while the other are mediocre teams, but they able to beat Tottenham.

Although Chelsea was humiliated by Manchester City and Arsenal, but Chelsea was lack of Palmer. Now in this match Palmer will back to the pitch, so I believe Chelsea will high likely win.
Wolves is a team that has been so unpredictable especially when they meet elite teams. They always come on the pitch to prove a point and most times, these guys ends up doing the unexpected. When they play a team that is at their grade of performance, mid tier teams, you don’t often find them just as good.
Newcastle I would say, have been good lately, their goal scoring have very much improved. They could be seen as a good team, they don’t really fit to that mediocre qualification right now.

Still, Palmer is the Chelsea now, his one man you can rely on to come up with some brilliance in a Chelsea game, he makes the rest of his team looks stupïd but that’s about it. They would have to play Spurs soon and I hope to see him show great qualities, running into spaces and getting the finishes as that man Jackson can’t do no good.
172  Economy / Economics / Re: Starting a business without capital. on: May 02, 2024, 09:30:23 AM
Well you are right affiliate marketing is a good way to earn, but you need to be more skillful because you need to be trusted by the person you work with. It needs time and it needs more effort because people will not directly trust you it needs skills on communication. And this process of earning will not make you a big profit because people now a days is always looking for a low price product.
When you don’t have the capital to start a trade, your skill set because what you could rely on to aid you get into that trade and persist. Even so, you don’t just start affiliate market with just your voice, to archive this you need to go out there and not just out there, go to a place where you could find your prospective customers. You don’t go to a place where you’ve got low income earners and advertise a Ferrari for sale, of course you wouldn’t make any sales there but, obviously those that can afford such luxury aren’t found hanging on the streets.

This is where certain gadgets come into play and even those needs capital to acquire. Perhaps your not having to purchase and resell the product but, you need certain gadgets to properly package and capture sides to your product and the right platform to display them. These things are cost inclusive and could count as your capital too. You would still need some money to push forward in a line.
173  Economy / Economics / Re: Surviving in this economy needs a new minds set on: May 02, 2024, 09:21:09 AM
We have come to a time where it has become harder and more complicated to earn money due to expensive living costs.
The economy has turned in ways no one would have imagined it possible or could possibly be prepared for but, you owe yourself your survival through these trying times. It doesn’t matter what the government might have planned or proposed on paper as, these does not constitute all there is which could result in the failure or success of a budget. Mostly, the human elements as per government looters aren’t taken into account in these budgets as, it’s an element that ought not to be but, they remain an integral part to the failure or success of a budget. It would be ridiculous to have corrupt officials consideration in a budget system but, these corrupt guys within the ranks of government have made governance uneasy and the life’s of its people difficult.

To survive, you need to employ a lot of strategy which could result in having to cut cost and increasing your streams of income as well.
174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cash out or let it ride? on: May 02, 2024, 08:59:01 AM
I don’t play games to cash out, it’s hardly been an option for me although, I’ve had to wish I did on few occasions but, it’s gambling, some times you loss and other times, you get to win.

With the presented bet and haven’t been given 50% of my original win, I think I would cash out on this one. 50% seems like a lot and looking at the risk odd wise, I think it’s the most on your stakes and that presents it to be a high risk game, a game I wouldn’t want to wait for. I’ll cash out on this one except, there is something i know that could serve as some guarantee.

Perhaps I would stake with $5k afterwards to see how it plays out but, that’ll be after I have cash out 50% of my original win.
175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 02, 2024, 08:50:30 AM
Dortmund showed great charisma in their game against PSG yesterday. It was surely a thrilling one and it wasn’t so difficult for Dortmund to control the most part of the game. After they did net their first goal which turned out to be the winning goal in the match, PSG came back strong in the second half, hitting the bar a couple of times and had some very clear chances to some of its best assets on the pitch, which turned out to be an unbelievable loss. Mbape had one, Dembele had at least 2 and he sent both flying, a couple of free headers and just like that, they couldn’t find the net. It might be just a goal difference but, Dortmund knows how to control the game and this is something that could prove very useful in the second leg.
176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 30, 2024, 09:43:23 PM
Bayern ended the match 2-2. This is considered an advantage out of nothing. After being undefeated in the rematch, it is necessary to talk about the possibility of taking the match to extra time and penalties. The match between Bayern and Real was really enjoyable. At least we watched a match worthy of the semi-finals.
Bayern Munich just lost their chance of getting to a UCL final. This was the same mistake that Arsenal made that saw Bayern Munich into the semi finals, with Arsenal missing a chance to beat Bayern Munich in a home match, came up with a draw only to later lose to Bayern Munich in there home.
This is going to be the same for Bayern Munich. They just lost there chance to beat Real Madrid, it was surprising when they got in front after loosing in the first half but, they still lost their advantage by committing a penalty offense and Vini Jnr was sure to convert it.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do increased Bitcoin fees benefit anyone else except miners? on: April 30, 2024, 06:40:55 PM
There are a couple of key points to consider: First, If miners can change Bitcoin to increase the fees is Bitcoin really decentralized? Second, and most importantly, do these increased fees help bitcoin to be a better form of digital cash?
Having to say that, miners do set the fee which questions of Bitcoin is truly decentralized is a misconception. Supposedly you’ve ever had to initiate a Bitcoin transaction at any point, you’re sure to set your fees and not miners. You might have the illusion that, this is been predetermined by a miner in systems that requires them to set a fee limit but, no such thing exists.

Now, understand this.
We have more than one miner out there. There are lots of miners out there with their rigs, doing them computation tasks for block rewards and other benefits that follows having to discover the next block. Given that, other miners would just have to wait in line when the fees are high and then it later drops, where does that place those miners that have been waiting in line as far as benefit goes when the fee has dropped?

That’s to say, they don’t get to decide these things but, network congestion which is directly proportional to users action and inaction does.
Don’t forget, Bitcoin operates a consensus rule and as such, everyone and every Satoshi do matter on the network.
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: April 30, 2024, 06:17:36 PM
How can you say that Valencia took the lead at the start while Marin managed to score a goal in the 22nd minute (Valencia was only lucky to get a penalty kick in the 38th minute). I also appreciate Lewandowski's performance in this match, he seemed to have risen from the grave and managed to score a hat trick, but Lewandowski still hasn't been able to replace the top scorer in La Liga this season, his goal difference is still 3 goals. Valencia's position in the standings did not change because Betis could only end up drawing against Sevilla.
Replace, you really talking about replace here, his not been able to perform up to expectation not to talk of having him match the top scorer. I mean, his in a good team and should be doing that, should be scoring more goals but, he apparently isn’t. He has underperformed I must say. He’s just been favored by Xavi and how could he not, given his record signing and his performance from a formal team.
He did so well in the Valencia fixture to my surprise, I would have said it’s due to the red card situation but, I’ve seen games where the red card had little to no effect but, not this one and R. Lewandowski was confident and precise all game round. In the end, Barcelona got a desired result and bagged all 3 points.
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Your Country Who Gamble More? Young Ones or Elderly Ones on: April 30, 2024, 06:07:21 PM
I think the economy of the country affects the number of gamblers because in countries where the higher number of gamblers is as a result of some gamblers gambling mainly for making money and not for fun.
Oh yeah, you’re right about this one.
It’s what I see around more often and has been the model that surrounds the gambling population today. This is something that have been leveraged by the many sportbook that exists today and there are even more to come.
Many gamblers come into this space because of the believe that they could get something out of nothing. That’s what the accumulation option is for, being able to pile those odds and have a dollar or more on it for a stake and boom, it plays out, the game is won and you solve all your troubles. Sadly, this only happens once in a moon circle.

Nations with a more stable economy would find majority of its gambling population have a safe model to gamble and you would t make many gamblers. Some might build their life about their income while others would just want increase through gambling but there would be the few that do it for fun.
180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Your Country Who Gamble More? Young Ones or Elderly Ones on: April 29, 2024, 11:07:54 PM
I would have liked to see where you draw the line between young and the once you would refer to as elderly. It would have been more easier to give an answer with an estimate based on who we do find regularly when we visit the gambling house. As we know it, under age or young once gambling isn’t allowed in most countries.

Hence, adults remains the market movers for the gambling industry. Those with the need to handle themselves, they often sought out gambling for a way out and most times, you end up loosing the little you might think you had. For an age grade, it’s common between the 19-40years, those who could earn something could risk something.
