161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Low performance using HiveOS on: August 19, 2021, 04:39:00 PM
Then why stick with hiveOS? If you are getting more hashrate/performance on windows OS then stick with windows OS, a YouTuber named Caleb who is now getting more popular everyday use T-rex on windows to get 26mh on those cards too and he never switched to hiveOS till now, use what works better for you
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Next bear market might not be that bearish on: August 19, 2021, 03:47:19 PM
I have been saying at least since this bullrun started that eth 2.0 will only start on the next bullrun, anybody saying eth 2.0 is coming this year or next is blatant lying, eth devs focus on hyping cycles, yeah you might listen something about devs saying eth 2.0 might come this year or next but that is only hyping and nothing real. So the truth is, they want you to keep your eth so they can push the price to a peak then they will empty their bags and then crash eth 20 times then keep eth down there and then eth 2.0 coming they will hype and earn more money. Do not be a sheep thinking eth long term, if you think long term you will not get the best of the crypto market, remember that whales dont earn money only on bullruns, they earn money on bearruns too.

This is a prediction I agree on.

They will allow POW as long as possible

ETH hash is back to all time high.

ETH mining makes a fucking fortune for AMD and Nvidia.

Slow chip production is predicted until 2023.

all these factors suggest mine on and grow your farm very slow but steady.

Were are adding 3 more 30 amp 240 volt circuits to a gpu room.  That is about 30 x 240 x 3 =21600 watts x .8 = 17280 watts or 17.2 kwatts an hour more power.

I got 2 of these cases.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5330379.0

I will be trying to use them to make 6 card 3090 rigs. so they will use about 1800-1900 watts a case. we could add 9 of them. 3 to each new circuit.  they should do 660mh a rig.
Another reason why I believe that PoW algorithm isn't going no where is for the fact that big ASIC companies never adjusted to the news that's been spreading since 2020 that ETH is abandoning PoW, why is that? ASIC companies are multi millionaires too, if this is going to stop their business why bring new ASICS to the market then?
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sapphire GPU are poorly built? Or just not rugged on: August 18, 2021, 04:52:35 PM
There is nothing wrong with sapphire GPUs unless you buy used which might have been used for years on mining already, you need to be careful when sourcing for used GPUs as many won't tell the truth about using them to mine for years
164  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Regulation is needed likewise the law involvement on: August 18, 2021, 03:55:00 PM
We do not want to get rid of government we want to reform into something better. The current government is not suited the government is only in power to serve the people but they are exploiting their people. That is the problem once we remove the current governments then we can reform into something better and more fair. Bitcoin might allow people to break away from the methods that the government use to control them. Governments regulating Bitcoin is a good thing atm because it brings legitimacy to Bitcoin.
Decentralisation gets rid of government involvement in whatever the decentralisation is built on this is why BTC is cool I think you misunderstood what OP was saying, central bank have access to their customers information and that's because it's centralised, imagine a decentralized bank 🏦 lol, of cos that won't work on the surface of the earth
165  Economy / Economics / Re: Warning against CBDC from bank of Ghana on: August 18, 2021, 03:18:44 PM
On the one hand, with the creation of a central bank for digital currency there will be a lot of regulation to regulate crypto and this makes many projects unable to enter the market but there is a positive side that is increasingly being recognized by the Government of cryptocurrency and this is a good development for investors because it will narrow the space scam project move
I think you are wrong, regulations can't stop scam projects in crypto space in any way, we have many decentralized projects which I believe it's none of the government business, do you remember how many DeFI projects popped up last year with no details of the developers and no details on team? They are hiding for the fact that their project is DeFi
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Avoid expensive GPU on: August 17, 2021, 02:21:03 PM
That's correct 😌 actually many don't care and some don't really understand, they thought the bigger the card the better for mining, imagine someone telling you that latest GPU architecture are the best for mining lol, people like learning the hardest ways
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Marketing a new exchange on: August 17, 2021, 01:56:16 PM
It's not even about the funding but the experience, CZ became an expert or pro today because he had work for other exchanges in the past, you need to have experience first and also be wiling to hire experts in the security field to keep users fund safe, running an exchange isn't easy
168  Economy / Economics / Warning against CBDC from bank of Ghana on: August 17, 2021, 01:29:46 PM
How effective is this news against CBDC? The bank of Ghana warns against developing CBDC for its country, calling it old traditional thinking lol, check out the link below for full news

169  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Things I wish I knew before starting my crypto journey on: August 16, 2021, 02:36:22 PM
A lesson have been learnt, for long term holding it's safer to use decentralized wallets that gives you your private keys or recovery seed, I made such mistake years back as well but the amount I lost to centralised wallet isn't something to write home about
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: More invalid shares on: August 16, 2021, 02:30:05 PM
Too much of OC is what causes invalid shares most times, this isn't a updated mining software issue, try lowering your Clock settings on your GPU and try again some GPUs just can't keep up due to silicon
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The new AMD Radeon Cards on: August 16, 2021, 02:23:53 PM

So total power per card is (210-35)/2 = 87.5W for ~ 32MHs on the wall with this PSU (Chieftec CTG-750C)

(GPU power is 64W & 62W, 64W card is getting hot air from the 62W card backplate, Gigabyte mATX board GA-A75M-UD2H)

(maybe a bit lower than 87.5W as CPU usage is a bit higher during mining vs. idle desktop)

GPU: 1330MHz
MEM: 2250MHz

I think you can lower you clock core and voltage core a lot more than this and achieve the same 32mhs. Although it has the same 256 as the rx 580, I believe it can go higher than the rx 580.

Also when buying gpus, one must be very careful as new asics are in and in the bear market only asics will be running on eth network.
So ASIC owners have enough money to keep running their miners while GPUs owners can't keep up? You are joking 🤣🤣🤣 I'm going to keep mining even in bear market and I plan to have 1GH on ETH, I'm presently at 400MH just keeping my patience to see how the market plays out in the next two months, by the way I'm no paying a dime for electricity cos I run on solar energy 24/7
172  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Things I wish I knew before starting my crypto journey on: August 15, 2021, 02:30:40 PM
If I had a teacher in 2017 maybe I would have escape some of this mistakes? but I had no one and thankful here I am today still standing strong

I pretty you sure you did but decided to just ignore them. You're not the only one making this assumptions, many of us that lost our ways in the very beginning all have this regrets. You had other people experience that was there to guide you but chose to ignore. You can't tell me you didn't see all the warning that was and is been shared/posted all over the internet saying not your private key not your coin.

If you were that active in the industry then you should have come across one but that's in the past now. You don have put the blame on anyone. Accepting the fact that you made a mistake is the first steps of not repeating that mistake. Today there are similar mistakes waiting for ignorant individuals, one of those is not investing in Bitcoin now but chasing after the NFT crab and the memes bullshit with investment mindset.

Those engaging themselves in this will regret later and words like your quoted statements will emerge from their mouth. Lucky for you you realize your mistakes and yes we're still early. Many still haven't realized that they're are wasting their precious time and money on things that won't be worth much in 5/10 years from now.
How about making those money from NFT and putting them back into BTC? I believe this is the best thing everyone should be doing right now, NFT projects are booming yes they can help bring good gains too but BTC is standing very tall over other projects
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH gas fee still high, London fork a failure? on: August 15, 2021, 01:59:34 PM
one thing for sure we are getting less eth per Mh

That only affects people that mine and hodl eth.

If you mine eth and convert to fiat and btc you are better off.

I have zero faith in eth for any purpose other than to mine it and convert it into fiat and btc.

So the London fork increased my earnings.

Those that think eth is worth holding are not as well off.
It's better to hold BTC for long term not ETH, this super burning of supply makes me lose interest in Ethereum already, if bear market strikes I'm sure that ETH PoS won't be able to keep up, start gathering BTC Satoshis instead of other coins
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Max safe high temp question on: August 15, 2021, 01:06:32 PM
You can't compare 3070s with Vega 56 they aren't using the same memory, 3070s can handle high memory temp more than Vega 56 which is using HBM2 memory, anything over 80 Celsius will give error or reboot
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple still standing on: August 13, 2021, 01:35:02 PM
So why is no one talking about ripple anymore?
It doesn't matter if waves is dubbed as a stepdaughter - at that time there weren't as many altcoins as they are now - the 2016 era - waves - one of the most popular coins among investors, As time goes by, the market is constantly changing-one company has created 2-5 Altcoins, Waves has been turned into a stepdaughter.

However-waves-still belongs to the big family, most likely continues to grow in the market.
What are you even saying? What business does waves have with ripple? The question is mainly about the SEC war on ripple and you are talking about waves, as a centralised project ripple is way better than waves, in top 20 on coinmarketcap ripple is the only centralised project that works
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Powering risers with SATA cable isn't entirely bad on: August 13, 2021, 12:42:06 PM
You are mixing the whole thing OP, you are been warned not to use SATA cables that comes with riser because they are cheap built not because they can't power your GPU at all, cheap built wires can't handle watts they can burst in fire easily
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rx580 in 2021 for mining on: August 13, 2021, 12:27:30 PM
Good price IMO, a gtx1660super is sold for 470$ in my country right now and that's also 30MH in hashrate power but 350$ ? You don't even need to ask this question but I remember in last bear market 580s turned 260$ not sure if that's ever going to happen again
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Important of Gen2 on gigabyte motherboard on: August 12, 2021, 08:17:30 AM
I don't know to what Gigabyte motherboard you are referring to but it must really old one.I have mined even with a Gen4 dual core processor Gigabyte motherboard without any problems a couple of years ago using different miners and all had no problems.
Also the new mining motherboards of Gigabyte from what I have seen are some of the best out there considering price/performance.
I also don't know the advantages of Gigabyte gen 2 motherboards. Are there any advantages. So he called the second gen Gigabyte motherboards very important in mining. I also use a Gigabyte gen 4 motherboard. But there are no problems in mining.
People are misunderstanding the original post, gen 2 is available in most motherboard apart from OEM motherboards, original post isn't pointing at 2nd gen CPUs like i3 2100 or i5 2320 it's talking about the BIOS to unlock better memory buffering for all pcie slots on the motherboard..

Have you ever seen whereby only three pcie x1 slots will work out of 5 you have on a motherboard? It's because the gen in bios isn't set to gen 2....😂😂😂
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help confirm if this is LHR GPU or not on: August 12, 2021, 07:54:12 AM
Thank you all for your replies the rtx3070ti is indeed a LHR card, I forgot that this cards got released after the LHR news was live, if I remember this I won't have buy and also betterhash shows 69MH but after 10 seconds the Hashrate dropped down to 40MH lol 🤣
MSI usually write the abbreviation LHR in the model name, but it may depend on the country where the video card is sold.
Ravencoin does not have hashrate locks on this video card, so for now you will have a good profit.
Although next year, these restrictions will not matter, because Ethereum will stop mining.
Maybe by next year 2022 we will be pointing at 2023 again, this is Ethereum mates and postponement is what the teams are good at, also I don't see any problem if PoW & PoS co exists on the network, at least mining reward have been lower and gas fee is now cheaper, that solves all the ETH problems already isn't it?
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / I see the whole thing from a different angle on: August 12, 2021, 07:41:18 AM
No hacker will want to spend time on a platform to steal money and return it, hacking isn't easy as many thinks, it takes lot of effort and time I'm just surprised that many are thanking the hacker behind poly network for returning the fund he or she stolen, hackers only tend to be nice when there are traces left behind probably through their own mistakes..
