161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: List of cryptocurrency exchange hacks on: April 04, 2020, 11:48:22 PM
Going through this list saddens me alot, not because of alots of money have been stolen in cryptocurrency sector but because the whole security breach is against the core functions and nature of blockchain. Any platform that has blockchain behind it was supposed to have an additional layer of security that cannot be tampered with but seeing exchanges being hack with each passing day suggest otherwise. I hope exchanges will employ more stronger security infrastructures inorder to leave no loopholes for these scammers to prey on no more. This hack here and there is tainting this sector bad as new potential investors are always skeptical with their fear being exchange are not safe.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Again 🔥 on: April 04, 2020, 11:44:41 PM
Binance Launch Fiat Support in South Africa!

CEO of Binance announced the launch of the Fiat gateway allowing the South African Users to make rand deposits.

“Looking at South African specifically, crypto adoption continues to rise with SA being one of the top five countries in terms of cryptocurrency ownership. Today I’m excited to announce that Binance is launching a South African fiat-to-crypto gateway soon. This will enable South Africans to buy cryptocurrencies with their local bank accounts.”

Binance also donated 1M$ to bitcoin education to support the development of blockchain education in South Africa, The organization also getting ready to run educational program soon.

I can't help but commend the efoort of the various brain behind binance exchange, those guys are folk hero to the crypto space. With thevarious innovations and progress they are adding to this space and their service with each passing day, i can confidently say they are setting a new form of standard that will pioneer the massive adoption of cryptocurrency by the outside world. No availability of FIAT GATEWAYS have been the problem preventing mass crypto adoption for quite sometimes now as new potential investors are always scared of going through the rigorous exercise involved with the former ways of converting bitcoint to real money and vice versa. With this innovation, I'm sure even the commonest individuals in South Africa will be able to switch within their FIAT and CRYPTOCURRENCY
163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Recent Corona Virus Scams on: April 03, 2020, 10:35:53 PM
Same here, seems we came from the same side. I wonder when such people that scam people will repent from their evil deeds and make this world a better place. The issue of people orchestrating scam approaches is increasing everyday around here from calling people to tell them their credit and bank accounts are having issues and they need some confidential information inorder to be able to rectify the issue to scammers impersonating project developers to scam people in telegram and other crypto social media. It's time for everyone to tighten up their games and be more at alert cause scam strategies do increase during pandemics

Dear friend, those sort of scams are everywhere and just as you suggested, i agree with everyone has got the responsibility of tighten up their games.  Lots of them scammers will appear to provide healp due to the current pandemic and virtually everyone looking up to one another but insead device a means to scam them. I think global crisis is always a good period for the bad people to make more money.  And again, people need to be less greedy and stay far away from any financial investments options that promises high return during this period
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Blind Person Access Bitcoin? on: April 03, 2020, 10:30:48 PM
The world is evolving with each passing day and i must say it's making live better for everyone, even the handicapped. I can't help but appreciate you for sharing this post, it's one the rare post aim at making lives better as I'm sure if there has not been any actual consideration on making cryptocurrency available for the blinds before now, with this  thread you created, I'm sure some right people out there might be interested in looking for ways to make cryptocurrency accessible to them. As of now, i don't think there's any viable means for the blinds to use cryptocurrency either i think it's best if they keep using FIAT for now but I'm very optimistic this problem will also be look into
165  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wallet question on: April 02, 2020, 06:37:44 AM
In the meantime I cannot access my ledger and need to use a wallet.
With the recent dip in price I'm buying again and have to store them. I'm currently  using one or more of the following 4 wallets
What is better or good? And why?
Jaxx Liberty wallet
Samourai wallet
Blockchain wallet
Exodus wallet.

I'm really pissed off with the window10 POS.

Thanks in advance for any tips or advice using these wallets.

This alternative wallets you listed are great, however since you needed some wallet  to use before you fix your ledger, i'd advice you to try out ATOMIC WALLET. it's a non-custodial wallet available for every pc versions and mobile and it's totally free. Atomic Wallet is the most complete all-in-one cryptocurrency wallet in the entire market as it's Multicurrency feature supports virtually every blockchain out there i.e you can store more than 500 coins/tokens.

It has other functionalities like, the Atomic swap where you can carry out exchange of assets through decentralized atomic technology. Within atomic wallet apps,  you can also purchase major cryptocurrency using your bank card and lastly, it is incorporated with 2 instant exchange plugins ( shapeshift and changelly) for you to exchange cryptos without going to these exchanges. You should try it out
166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin revolution on: April 02, 2020, 06:19:53 AM
A crypto investment scheme named BTC revolutionary has recently gained people's attention after announcing Investors can now earn over $1000 everyday. Also they said to invest in crypto if someone is interested to make investment where they can make million dollars they said, however the government came to know that the project is scam and it was recently ran into trouble with security and exchange commission in Philippines...

https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-revolution/

With various  scam experience people have had in the past, it baffles me how people are still being gullible enough to fall for these cheap ponzi and HYIPs. Like who the hell will offer you an ROI $1000 everyday, your first doubt should be about how they're going to keep up with such amount which is not definitely possible. Greed kills more than cancer
167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you read about crypto? Favorite sources? on: March 31, 2020, 11:33:56 PM
Going by your list, i read cryptocurrency news on this forum and cointelegraph. Cointelegraph ranks among the top news outlets that provides trusted news related to blockchain and cryptocurrency. I do enter enter coindesk sometimes too but i do follow icodrop channel on telegram for fast and swift stories
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 991.3062 BTC transfer on: March 31, 2020, 11:30:09 PM

According to what I know this walled is binance wallet. so, maybe a sharp movement is incoming

That's quite a huge amount of coin in there, and i totally agree with you about not leaving open trades because the current market is very fluctuating and not stable. Any time you spent unattending to your order put in a risk as the market can experience a downfall any moment, i hope this transaction wont affect the market
169  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fastest ways to multiply Bitcoin on: March 31, 2020, 11:27:34 PM
You did mention betting among the ways to multiply bitcoin? Man, betting is not the way atleast not the right one as it is a pure gambling and I'm sure you know the risk around gambling. You can loose your entire life savings within a blink of an eyes and it can go otherway round. My simple advice is you should stop looking for platforms that offers quick and huge return as all HYIP will crash oneday no matter how long it take. Just trust any source giving steady income.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange tokens on: March 30, 2020, 10:55:18 PM
Who would have thought that exchange tokens can be huge as they are today? Back in 2017 I never thought that exchange can use token on their platform and make it very valuable, look at binance exchange and Okex exchange, very profitable they are today for every early adopters, any ways that's that, how about now? What exchange do you think will be huge in near future?

To be honest now, with the current situation of the cryptocurrency market and the entire blockchain industry still striving for world adoption, i think exchange platform are the only projects that can genuinely drive in utilities for their token as people use these platforms everyday.  However, the tendency of an exchange token being successful solely depends on how prominent the exchange itself is and that's why the coins belonging to only the top exchanges are doing very well.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New investors are too impatience on: March 30, 2020, 10:49:03 PM
Not going to lie my portfolio is hurting right now but some coins are worth hodling.
Right now it's pretty bleak out there but there is hope on the horizon.
For example TemTum, with talks with governments to provide them with a national currency due to break (once coronavirus is no longer the only topic of discussion) patience will certainly pay off

I agree with you,  if you've already purchased coins/tokens before the downfall, the best thing is to hold them and be patient as one thing is certain for sure, the entire cryptocurrency market will rise above this as it have experienced worse in the past coupled with the fact that not only cryptocurrency sector is undergoing downfall but virtually every investment option as the whole world itself is facing global crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic, I'm sure when this pandemic is over, we will see a more stable market
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MESSAGE TO BOUNTY MANAGERS on: March 30, 2020, 10:37:48 PM
Hello guys,

In a bid to fight bounty scammers and spammers on the telegram campaign, there is a great wisdom in the format adopted by julerz12 in his GEOMA bounty campaign (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5223521.0), you are first told to answer questions on a google format just to test your simple knowledge on Cryptocurrency and then still require you to apply on google form together with Proof-Of-Authentication on the bounty thread.

You are right, the whole downfall of the cryptocurrency market is due to lack of regulations as the concept of blockchain frowns at any form of regulations. However, this concept are being abuse on daily basis and in the bid of that, we've seen some governments authorities trying to bring regulations that will correct the cryptocurrency sector. I can say bounty hunting is going through correction too, the various methods and approaches being adopted by bounty managers now will pave way for a new generation of bounty hunting where hunters will earn decent reward as well as carry out tasks
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Innovation is key, but good community is more important. on: March 29, 2020, 07:14:23 AM
If we cite few examples, i want to believe that you all agree with me that Binance is the new face of crypto currency exchange leading from every front ?

You are very much correct, binance is not the pioneer of most of their intuitive features but the relevance, constant innovations and a strong community behind the exchange has paved a smooth path for the exchange.
I remember vividly how LATOKEN exchange stated IEO launchpad, it was their main usecase to come up with a more appealing way to enable startup project raised required fund but binance became the giant player after launching it's IEO launchpad for bittorent tokensale.  Community and trust goes a long way in this space
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trump the Coronavirus USD killer on: March 29, 2020, 05:26:53 AM
Trump thinks by printing more money he is helping his economy all it means is long run bigger financial crash which = bigger bitcoin success and digital currencies.

Everyone to him is just another stat on his list
https://worldcoronavirus.org/

The current global situation requires drastic measures to tackle the pandemic coronavirus, i think any president will go to any length to see his nation survive through the epidemic. However, some of this drastic situation will have detrimental effects on most economy but i don't think it will ever be a win for cryptocurrency for as long as this global crisis and pandemic continues. The price movement of bitcoin and other altcoins for a month now validates the point that cryptocurrency can only win and flourish when the entire world is winning.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Uptrennd? on: March 28, 2020, 11:02:30 PM
There are have been lots of hype behind uptrend lately. However, reading through the use cases and the functionality of the platform, you'll discover the hype behind it is warranted. With the latest development with steem community, i think the cryptocurrency market needs other blogging platforms where users will be rewarded awesomely for their content contribution. It's a platform every cryptocurrency user ought to have an account with
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Very Important Advice for Devs on: March 28, 2020, 10:54:36 PM
Your first paragraph is straight to the point, as it shows that only pump and dump developers or those who aren't ready to offer anything good would list on those exchanges. Since time past Latoken is known as an exchange which never gives a project the opportunity to grow, even token sales on that exchange don't always end well. In addition to Latoken, from my own angle, P2PB2B and Vindax are also not worth it as projects always don't do well there. In all ramifications, you are right with your list, and developers should also learn to do the right thing unless of course they don't care about any development but are after pump and dump or they are scammers.

I perfectly agree with you as only a team that is not competent enough will choose the option of these scamming exchanges.  Devs who ain't financially bouyant will definitely go for cheaps exchanges without volume and liquidity. I think p2pb2b and vintax are the ones with most bad reviews of being scams. Post like this are good announcements to save everyone from such scam exchanges
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Old crypto ways fades away easily on: March 26, 2020, 06:39:47 PM
It's normal to see every investment sector undergo corrections and i can confidently tell you the cryptocurrency market was well due. The early birds involved in crypto haunting are those that will be the most beneficial of it as the market will only keep getting more difficult. I think not only hunting of bounties and airdrop got a bit complicated but the whole market as even traders, investors as well as start up projects are complaining bitterly about not making enough gain. All i can wish for is for the market to experience a massive bullish run just like it did in 2017. That way, everyone even the commonest  bounty and airdrop hunters will benefit massively.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 90% Of Project Bounties Are Scams on: March 26, 2020, 06:31:38 PM
The market is experiencing a huge correction from the flooding it experience with lots of projects in 2017/2018 and as such, it has experienced a massive downtrend in even the prices of already established coin/tokens talkless of start up projects. Due to the turndown in the market, the investors left are very skeptical about the project they invest in and majority often opt in for already established ones.  I can confidently say some start up projects are genuine but the market isn't really favourable for them and at the same time, the entire cryptocurrency market is an unregulated space where scammers are mostly unknown till they exits scam.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance charity launches with $1million donation. on: March 26, 2020, 06:22:52 PM
Binance charges anywhere from $1 million to $5 million for a single IEO listing. I am not saying that this is a small amount, as any amount would come handy in the fight against COVID 19. But given that the disease originated in China and many of the Binance promoters are Chinese citizens, they should have made this step at least a couple of weeks ago. I hope that the other exchanges will also follow this example.

Binance is indeed a folk hero and i seriously doubt if their IEO listing price is that much, i used to know that listing a coin on Binance was once $1 millions, then it was later reduced massively and as at then, the money do goes directly to charity and not their account. I read on their official announcement page the donation amount was increased to $5 millions https://www.binance.com/en/blog/421499824684900478/Binance-Charity-Initiates-$5-Million-Coronavirus-Relief-Campaign-with-Donation-Matching-Commitment.
It's indeed a huge amount and a great way of pushing cryptocurrency adoption. An end to the global crisis will begins a new bullish movement for the cryptocurrency market too.
180  Economy / Speculation / Re: COVID-19 Increased Bitcoin Adoption on: March 25, 2020, 06:53:12 AM
Recent crises are testing the abilities of Bitcoin. The adoption of Bitcoin is increased as people are stuck at home they are looking for better solutions to transfer remittance and for purchasing.
Many countries are using blockchain technology to fight against the pandemic.
Why the price of Bitcoin is still down?

From where the crypto market stands with decreasing market cap, i'd say reverse is the case. There's global crisis and people are moving their fortunes from various volatile investment options to a more secure and safer options. This is the reason why not only cryptocurrency market is failing but other investments too, the stockmarket, gold, real estate to mention few. A lot of people are on lockdown, but that's dosen't quaratee the fact they have to use cryptocurrency or other digital currencies to get their financial lives running as they can do possiblly every transaction on their bank Mobile App. Crypto is a very volatile form of currency and volatile currencies are not the best option during global crisis.
