I had bad luck yesterday.
I tried to sell 0.2btc when price was 395$ but even though I payed 0.0003 fee it wasn't enough and my transaction took over 12 hour to confirm and at the time it finally got confirmed price was at 355$
Lost 10$ because of that
Maybe your transaction had a lot of inputs and that's why it took 12 hours to get confirmed. Yesterday I sent two transactions and they got confirmed in an hour only.
I feel you when you talked about losing because all bitcoin holders lost more than 20% from btc value in the last three days
Yes there was lots of inputs, it sucks that blockchain doesn't automatically calculate how big fee you need.
Also I just tried to find simple online calculator for calculating needed fee amount but I couldn't fin any, anyone know if that exist?
If I would have sold them when first tried I would have bought them back at lower price and made some profit but there is nothing that I can do about it anymore :/
