Is there an easy way to determine the rarity or value of these cards? I'm having a hard time identifying the cards, based on the colour coded spreadsheet posted here, and the checklist I have seen on the cardsmith site. I must be missing something. Is it the colour of the border that identifies the version of the card? Here is a link to some of my cards I can't tell if any of them are rare; maybe because they are all regular cards? https://imgur.com/a/xCtRKI2Use a flashlight to differentiate between holo's and crystals. Refractors are numbered on back. Cold foils don't have description on back. Mr holo's (non sparkles) are a dime a dozen, send them to me. Kidding those are rare. Use a flashlight look for sparkles. 53 and 1a cs are rare. That #53 litecoin card. See if it a crystal sparkle or holofoil. If its a crystal sparkle it has shimmering little grains like salt crystals. If it is a CS its worth around 150-200. Like ninja said the rest look like CS, base and holos. Base-$5 Holos-5-15 CS- 10-20 except for 1, 1A, 53

After watching tonight's S&B Crypto auction, I'm of the opinion that all these coins we've been trading like goddamn nickels and dimes on the forum for the past 10 years will eventually sell for 10x face value. Maybe that's unrealistic, but just my 2 sats. I agree. I think physical bitcoin is one of the most important collectables on the planet. An artistic time capsule of when bitcoin started. I see collectible coins like silver eagles produced with a mintage of around 18 million every year. Our coins are typically under a thousand. Keep spreading the word and holding those coins

Awesome. Thanks for sharing. I just want to clearify again. SIDMOR is my other project, which is me Sid + CMOR, together it's SIDMOR. The stuff i do on my own as the artworks shared in this thread is basically Sid. Or my full name Sidarta. Sorry for confusion. I am not doing duplicates, bi can do pieces that is similar. The pop art girls are a collection of maximum 10 pieces. I have painted 7 so far. 3 more to go. If any one likes an earlier piece, I can try to paint upcoming pop art girls in a similar style. Thanks again for the support. Much appreciated. I have one piece left of the pop art girl pieces. Let me know if anyone want a specific approach on the 3 upcoming. Cheers

Love the artworks, the one below is the most awesome work of yours that I've seen in this showcase of your work. Do you by any chance do a duplication of your works? I don't know the pricing yet and I'm still saving for other stuff so I hope there's nothing wrong if I canvas how much you price your works especially this one below and what's the typical rate for that? What's the size of this artwork though? Is it the size of like a standard canvas or something like that? Unfortunately my friend this picture is hanging on my wall. But this picture is part of a series of the same type of pictures. I believe he has 3 left. They all feature different girls with the monero glasses. Just reach out to him by email and he will send you a list of his available works of art.

Anyone got any signed cards? I have 12,13,32,42,43,44 so far. Appreciate any leads on getting more. Asked a few others with no luck. Might have a extra signed base in some of above cards above, only to trade for other signed card.
Also have #32(flaw) 20/25 and 77/99 #55 to trade, need mr1, mr4 and mr5 holo's.
You have #13 signed by Charlie Lee or Arthur Suydam? I have reached out to a few of the other artists but haven't heard back yet. Id like Matt P to sign artist of 1, 1A, 53, MR6, MR7. He works for Cardsmiths and I havent reached out yet but he might be a good one.

I still want the Onyx #18 but the owner is being very elusive and didn't respond to my last cash offer. If you are out there Onyx #18, contact me and we will arrange your coming home to your Diamond brother.
If you dont mind sharing what kind of cash did you offer for that onyx. Im trying to discuss with a guy to get his onyx to match my diamond. I offered one of my diamonds and 5 emeralds. But hes going to hang on to it for now. At least hes responding to me i guess.

Just to clarify, and i know weve discussed these coins at nauseam on other threads. None of the bulls were actually swept or hacked. There was only an issue with the way the private keys were created. It involved a lengthier process to sweap not typical of what is normal. There was never a scam im aware of with either the 2014 eagle or bull. Just poor key production. I believe there was also one coin purchased in the secondary market by LC that had the hologram still affixed but no funds on the coin.
Yeah, I see where you are coming from, but I stick to my previous post given the sum of "hick-ups" that occured. As someone said before, it might just be a rogue employee or whatever that compromised a whole project. Not saying it is indeed compromised, but there are some signs that I will not ignore this time. Maybe just oversensitive. Here is the original thread regarding the swept 2014 eagle: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5231305.msg54367281#msg54367281As far as I know these coins are still safe and mine are loaded today.
If I read it correctly that's not what happened, indeed the funds were swiped twice, once before holo peel and once after refunded. (?) but still just involving the one coin? Im not reading it again, lol. I agree with you. They messed something up. Im more upset with them that they continue to try and capitalize on physical bitcoin but dont want to fully embrace crypto. I feel like they are taking advantage of our live of this hobby. I do think that since they are a big company they could do it right and make it safe. Avoid all the pitfalls that plagued them last time. But for now im steering clear of their products. Thanks for info and the thread K-werk

I had sent a high value card into PSA to be graded (Paid close to $200 for the grade). It came back much, much lower than it should have. It was a brand new card directly from the pack, and received a NM7. After I made a bit of noise, here is the response I was given… _______________________________________________________________________________ ____________ > Thank you for reaching out to PSA Customer Care for some additional insight. We understand the desire to know the "why" behind a grade. Comparing your card to a picture online can be an instinctive response, but there are a lot of things that you simply can't see via images. Keep in mind that grading is three-dimensional, meaning that images flatten defects. There are many types of defects that, in order to see them, you must be able to move, tilt, and rotate the cards. Along with moving the cards to view them at multiple angles, lighting also plays a huge part in being able to see tiny defects. When reviewing your card, try putting your card in a low, single-light setting in a dark room, since bright lights can often "blow out" imperfections.
You may also find it interesting to learn that grades do not average out. If you have corners that meet the criteria of a 6, but you have a surface that meets the criteria of an 8 - your card would be a 6. It does not average out to a 7. You're welcome to review our grading standards here, but please keep in mind that in the end, the final grade is at the discretion of our experts.
While providing a detailed report regarding the result is not a part of our services, please be assured that your cards are always seen by a minimum of two independent graders and that their results must match before the order can be completed.
We hope that this information is helpful, and should you have any other questions please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for choosing PSA. _______________________________________________________________________________ ____________
I find the way they do things very unethical. Clearly they grade cards in the dark and make up reasons for low grades without explaining further. I will be using Beckett from here on out. I like that there are sub-grades with Beckett. Even though the cases are a little less appealing than PSA, I believe Beckett does a better job. Lesson learned going with the “standard for grading” PSA…
I had no idea it cost so much to grade Through PSA. Is it comparable at Beckett? Do you think if you took your card out of the holder and re-submitted it, it could potentially get a better grade, or would they simply notice the card and refractor number and give it the same?
|
|
|
Question for those that have submitted to PSA. How much have you been paying to grade $35? $55 $99 ? Do you think undervaluing your card and taking the cheaper price will affect your grade. Although it shouldn't I've heard of some questionable grades. Any benefit to choosing PSA over Beckett. Have you noticed one grading service more forgiving to manufacturing errors than another? I understand that grading should be a black and white process but humans are doing it so its not always cut and dry.

potentially what funding could look like with 40 coins produced. Just a few examples of what Frank can choose.
Everyone spends 0.01 on funding ($300)
Total funding of 0.4 ($12,000)
one coin receives funding of 0.36 ($10,800)
All the rest of the coins receive 0.001 ($30)
Everyone spends 0.005 on funding ($150)
Total funding of 0.2 ($6000)
One coin receives funding of 0.1 ($3000)
All the rest of the coins receive 0.0025 ($75)
Everyone Spends 0.001 on funding ($30)
Total funding of 0.04 ($1200)
One coin receives funding of 0.032 ($960)
All the rest of the coins receive 0.0002 ($6)

Howdy CryptogreatDane....Thanks for sharing some very nice artwork there!
Love what he did with the Monero notes as well. Does he do any custom paint jobs on these notes?
Thanks again for bringing this artist to our collectable section!
I think he would work with you within reason. I never asked him about custom stuff. Shoot him an email. On a side note, working on our last video together.

These guys frusterate me sooo much. What a missed opportunity. Dope designs and great coins but continually miss the point of physical bitcoin. Im so tired of exchanging emails with them. Just want to capitalize on the popularity of physical but not make it worth anybody's time. I mean really. Why even load 30 cents

Interesting Dane, thanks for posting. I wonder if Sidmore is the same person who has this account here on the forum AGNFAB https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2803818It kind of fits, I have some limited edition Monero and Bitcoin prints from AGNFAB / SidartA0
Yes I believe this is the same person, from his last post here he mentioned a website which shows some of the art above > https://sidarta.in He stated he had an account on the forum but wasnt to active. This probably is him. Hoping cardsmiths brings him in for series 2. I really like his stuff, but have to wait till next month for the series 2 drop to find out.

Doing some digging around on the PSA site. https://www.psacard.com/auctionprices/non-sport-cards/2022-cardsmiths-currency-series-1/240381This has a few of the diamond refractors listed as: 1 Bitcoin Diamond Gemstone Refractor-Proof 1A Bitcoin Diamond Gemstone Refractor-Proof 7 Nikola Tesla Diamond Gemstone Refractor-Proof 10 Bitcoin Diamond Gemstone Refractor-Proof 14 Ethereum Diamond Gemstone Refractor-Proof 28A Elon Musk Diamond Gemstone Refractor-Proof 41 Abraham Lincoln Diamond Gemstone Refractor-Proof 57 Salvatore Mundi Diamond Gemstone Refractor-Proof Perhaps they pulled this information from ebay, as I know a few of these were listed on ebay at some point. The page also lists most Onyx under the proper card number and name, e.g. 1 Bitcoin Onyx Gemstone Refractor 1/1 That feeds into theory that diamonds aren't legit. And onyx has 1/1 on label PSA came by the booth at the show. We discussed the various types of cards with them and submitted some Diamond Proofs we had on hand as a way of jump starting the addition of Diamond Refractors to their database. After the show we are going to work on getting them a full checklist of all supplemental cards that have been produced, including the 52 Diamond Refractor 1/1's. You submitted Diamond Proofs as a way of jump starting the addition of Diamond refractors to their database. I didn't think this meant that they graded the Diamond proofs and now include them in an the official Pop report for Series 1. Doesn't this now make all the Diamond Proofs official cards to collect? This is just weird. What other card proofs are official graded by PSA? It's bizarre. I thought what submitting some Diamond proofs to PSA would do is that they can verify that the 1/1 Diamonds are official cards that they can now grade and include in the Series 1 Pop, not now include the proofs as official cards. Why wouldn't they be official cards? Because they didnt come in packs? I think all that matters is that they are 1/1. Anytime something is 1/1 it is very collectible. No matter how you want to label it the card exists and people are trying to collect it. On reddit they call it the 11 card rainbow or 10 card rainbow. I think the diamonds are officially part of the series.

Why is it redemption cards are barely getting face value? I'm missing something, 3 free cards?
I got a .1 eth, never owned crypto, what should I do with it once I get my cards and ballet from cardsmiths? I should just leave it loaded on ballet or? I thought I read it is worth more in ballet form?
I'd kind of like it to start a crypto wallet were I can add to it and use as needed but not if it kills value.
I think still a lot of confusion around these. People just see your selling the 1 ethereum card for 2k and dont realize theres 2 k on the card. Just hold the ballet wallet as is. Dont add extra crypto to the cardsmiths ballet. Card should have whatever the denomination is on the card. If your looking to start a ballet cold wallet just get a regular ballet wallet to collect your crypto. Just like what MJ said. Eventually these cardsmiths redemption cards will sell for their true value.
