Frosinone - Bologna 0-0

A good draw for Frosinone in terms of salvation, but a bad result for Bologna, who thus miss out on overtaking Juventus in the standings, momentarily moving to -1 from the Bianconeri. Excellent news instead for Roma, who after last night's derby victory find themselves just 3 points behind fourth place, which is occupied by Bologna. This fight for fourth place becomes more and more intriguing
Unfortunately Bologna did not get full points in this match against Frosinone making them will be a little kicked and compete with Juventus, it was beyond my expectations of Bologna trying to rise and compete at the top of the table. Roma would do well to get the full points to save themselves and stay in position against Lazio.
That was a very terrible outing by Bologna, a match they would have won without stress if they had played their usual way. Relegation candidate Frosinone holding them to a goalless draw was indeed bad for a team fighting to qualify for champions league this season. Many people, including me, expecting a direct win from them to widen the gap between them and keep their hope of top 4 alive. This draw just reduces their chances.

The match that took place between Juventus and Fiorentina, and this time Juventus got 1 goal to mark the victory, but the match was only halfway through and I think Juventus cannot be expected to win more because it does not have good consistency, it is possible that Fiorentina can restore the situation and instead Juventus lose itself and get a defeat, but if Juventus can maintain its victory tonight Juventus has a pretty decent gap with Bologna and can be much calmer this week, but still the gap with Milan is still very far, it will be very difficult to catch up in the last few games of the season with the nature of Juventus.

Gatti gave us some hope in the first half, maybe another goal will follow?
Juventus had no other option than to win tonight. Without that win and assuming Bologna was able to win their match, there would have been a problem because Bologna would have been very close to displacing them from the third position  which is more conformatable for champions league than the fourth position. It is nice to see Juventus winning again.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 07, 2024, 09:32:08 PM

Apart from the match, Arsenal are now the luckiest team, and they will be very grateful to United. There are now only 7 Premier League matches remaining, Arsenal, Liverpool and City will be under heavy pressure from their next opponents. Arsenal will have a tough match next week because they will face Aston Villa, while Liverpool and City will face easier opponents.
Now Arsenal are back on top but the problem is that the points difference is still not too far away making this still difficult and all clubs (Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City) still have the same opportunity depending on what they will show in the rest of the season this time.
The robbery of Manchester United even made the gap reduced else Arsenal would have been 2 points clear from Liverpool. The penalty awarded to Liverpool was not too clear for many as it was heavily disputed by fans of Manchester United as it was regarded as outright robbery, something the VAR failed to fix. Well, the draw tonight just make the league more competitive. None of the major teams would want to draw as they will all be playing to win.

Not that Arsenal are weak at the moment because being at the top has clearly proven that they have always been a solid club in the last 2 seasons but it's just that looking at the schedule in the rest of their matches I honestly still doubt whether they can continue to be consistent or not because of the remaining 7 matches now there are still a few matches which in my opinion are quite troublesome and it could make them lose points.
Arsenal is not weak in anyway you view it. They are doing their best and doing so perfectly well with the result always available to show for the effort. Other seasons, Arsenal would have been removed from spotlight. But this season they have continued to remained in the spotlight and even daring to win the league.

Yeah, but if you did not have any BTC, then how are you going to know to wait before you buy?

Even if you started buying $100 per week of BTC on December 19, 2017, by now you would have had invested $32,700 and you would have accumulated 2.66 BTC (currently worth about $186k), so you would be right around 5.7x in profits... so there is no reason to be greedy or to be trying to second guess these kinds of matters.  The main thing is to get the fuck started and to establish a position, and surely a guy with 2.66 BTC is in a good place right now, but he still might feel that he does not quite have enough and he might feel that he needs to continue to invest at $100 per week or maybe even to be more aggressive in his weekly DCA amount.

I just have a small point that today bitcoin price is around $70k and if we are comparing last 7 years DCA till today then it looks good. But few months back price of Bitcoin was under $20k and at that spot thing might not look as ideal as they are today.
There is consent that some investment is better then zero investment. If I talk about myself then if I have been investing into bitcoin since 2017 then I might be in some good position. But since I started investment quite late so I have to wait for a while to see my portfolio in good position.
If I tell you that I understand your point, then I'm not being fair  to myself. Are you saying that applying DCA of $100 per week few months back might not look ideal? Well the DCA method does not really consider price rather the main consideration is the consistency in implementing it as it was planned. A DCA of few months back when price was around $20k would have made someone simply get more BTC than they would assuming the same DCA was applied today, the reason one have to start as soon as they are aware of it rather than dragging leg.
164  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Naija they take full advantage of Bitcoin on: April 06, 2024, 01:19:21 PM
Hi community,
Making some research this morning i had to understand that Nigeria is among the top countries that trade Bitcoin most, only behind, India, China and the United States of America, this is a nice one, because even with the current unemployment rate in our country the youths have found a way to make money legally without settling down for crimes and illegal activities, that shows that as a country we take full advantage of technology and make profit out of it, it's a nice one let's continue the good work of making our fatherland proud.
Even when our government wan disgrace us, we still no gree for them.
I'm not surprised if Nigeria is among the top Bitcoin traders because Nigerians have been know for using opportunities very well. Bitcoin is a huge opportunity for people to make decent income and so long as it made its way to Nigerians, they will not ignore it.

Nigerians take risk in the form of being adventurous. Remember the time of ponzi, Nigerians were among the worst hit, so I will not  be marvellled if Nigerians embrace Bitcoin that is legit and have withstood all kinds of fud and criticism.

Now that we can confirm that Nigerians are heavily involved in Bitcoin, we should try and also take advantage of the opportunity and not sit on the fence.
165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 06, 2024, 08:58:25 AM
Everyone can like any team in the Champions League this season, but for Real Madrid everyone also knows that the performance of their players must be able to improve because in this round Real Madrid will face a strong team from England. So it will be quite a difficult match for both of them if they can both improve their squad's performance and apart from that, there will also be a lot of spectators for this match because considering the competitive tension is tougher for each of them.
Real Madrid don't have good memories against Manchester City from the time they last met up.  Sad  At Etihad they got a really huge defeat like 4-0. Considering the way Real Madrid have been playing in the Champions League recently I can't be very positive about them. The performance against Leipzig was just horrible. If Leipzig were a more capable team they would be the side to advance.
You cannot just use past record to completely judge the future and this is football where things changes so fast. That Manchester City won them 4:0 the last time they met is not a guarantee that they will win them this season. A lot has changed especially with Real Madrid, they now have a youthful and energetic team that have the skill and experience to

Ancelotti should prepare his players strongly for this round. I don't think they would lose home in the first leg but the second leg will be way tougher.
Ancelotti has done what needed to be done from the management angle, the rest is left for football to take its course. Without doubts, it will be a very strong and entertaining match full of surprises. If you think it through, both teams have similar pattern of play and scores goal easily and even with styles. I think the whole world is looking forward to that encounter.
166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 06, 2024, 08:23:57 AM
Milan played a faultless football against a tough Fiorentina away and came out victorious. Milan have won their last four league games and are trailing Inter despite the points difference. They are consolidating their second place more and more. They will now play Lecce at home. Lecce have no claims in the league this season, but they are close on points with the teams in the relegation zone. Lecce took points from Roma in their last game but it will not be easy for them to do the same against Milan away from home. Loftus-Cheek, the key man in Milan's midfield, is suspended, but I still think Milan will have no difficulty in this match.
Milan is lucky to meet Lecce, I'm sure Milan will make good use of this opportunity to score lots of goals. The point distance between Milan's position to win first place is quite far. Hopefully with this match Milan will be able to get three winning points to stay in second place.
You call that lucky? That is the fixture as all the teams will meet each other at home and away. I'm also expecting AC Milan to collect the 3 points with ease. AC Milan defeated Hellas Verona 1:3 in their home while Hellas Verona defeated Leece 0:1 in their home, this shows that AC Milan is stronger than Hellas Verona who is also stronger than Lecce. By this analogy, it is an easy win for Milan with the potential of being a match of abundant goals. At the present form, AC Milan can win any team in the Italian Serie A. They have gone unbeaten for several matches both in the league and European league.
167  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: April 06, 2024, 07:07:08 AM
It is just funny for you to say that my view is pointless. There is no way I said that buying bitcoin on a centralized exchange is bad for newbies or those who have been in bitcoin for years. You said in your comment that it will be hard for a newbie to make use of a decentralized wallet. I want to ask you a question: What do you understand by a decentralized wallet?
Well without stressing this particular conversation too much I think what @Dailyscript is trying to state is that for those beginners who are just starting there investment it will be wise for them to maintain there investment on the centralized exchange in other to have a good understanding about the platform and how to secure there wallet before moving it to there private wallet. I think there is sense in what he is saying and I never realized it before posting about it earlier, so actually in as much as holding our Bitcoin is not advisable on Centralized exchanges but for the safety of the beginners we shouldn't expect them to buy and move there Bitcoin to there personal wallet immediately when they have no idea about what it takes to secure there personal wallet, so like @Dailyscript observed, at first they should hold it in the CEX till they are more knowledgeable on how to secure there private wallet.
Going straight to the point, it's better for newbies or beginners to start with centralized exchanges cause its more friendly for beginners than decentralized exchanges, it also has lesser to no gas fees attached to buying bitcoin off the exchange and this is good cause most beginners Don have huge capital and can be starting with as little as 10$, so imagine how discouraging it would be for them to be paying for gas everything they have to move their asset to their decentralized wallets, so yeah it's better they state with centralized exchange then when they have accumulated much bitcoin they can now move to a self custodian wallet to store their bitcoin.
If you look for easy way in Bitcoin, you will most likely become lazy and complacent. I'm not against centralized exchanges but the truth is that if newbies become too comfortable with them, they might resort to using them for all their needs including storing their coins there which is risky. Knowing where to buy Bitcoin and how to keep them safely is part of the basic knowledge required to begin the process of building a Bitcoin portfolio and both knowing how to buy from CEX and DEX should be part of the process of getting the basic knowledge. Like I said before, it is dangerous for newbies to get too comfortable with CEX so they don't use them for all their needs, this is the only thing I have to add to this discussion.
168  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the halving already priced in? on: April 06, 2024, 06:45:04 AM
BTC has been "pumped" massively ever since the spot ETFs were approved in the US a few months ago. The rise has been exponential, making BTC reach a new ATH before the halving. This has never happened before in the history of crypto (AFAIK).

Considering that BTC is in a new ATH, I wonder if the halving is already priced in? If that's the case, then market prices will remain relatively the same post-halving. Don't you think?

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
I had a different views from yesterday and backward but after reading through your post, I'm giving it a second thought. What I think will happen is that the halving might not initially trigger big surge in price because most of the gains have already been recorded as a consequence of the ETF approval. But later in the year when the supply of freshly mined Bitcoin will reduce causing scarcity in the market, that will trigger the imbalance in demand/supply, hence the surge in price will become noticeable.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good bitcoin security starts with strong PC and mobile device security on: April 06, 2024, 06:38:00 AM
You are not entirely correct because the most important thing is your habit and how you use your devices. To protect your Bitcoin, good practice requires that you use wallets you are in control of the private keys, then never save your private keys and every other secret information on the computer or mobile phone irrespective of how strong they may be. This step is more important than having laptops and phones with strong computing power.

I'm not disputing that good computers and mobile phones are not important neither do I challenge the fact that a secure computer and mobile device is bad, they are just one aspect that comes after good practice. If you repose so much confidence in the security of your computers and mobile devices, you might be tempted to save sensitive information there and that is dangerous.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: April 05, 2024, 03:22:30 PM
Even though Girona just got a win against Betis, there is something I regret about this club where they lost their confidence at the end of the season. Maybe those of you who have followed Girona's journey from the start of the season were amazed by what they displayed and it could almost be said that they will win the La Liga title this season.
Football is filled with surprises and I'm not tired of watching the performance of these elite teams moving to the top. Girona have everything to hold unto the energy6 level of Real Madrid but something happen to them along the line, they failed to win or even score a goal against Real Madrid who was their top rival. Girona flopped around and watching them stepping from #1 on the table, they're doing everything to bounce back but it's not working.
Indeed, currently Girona is in third place with a difference of two points from Barcelona in second place in the standings. However, Girona's journey this season has been truly sensational and surprised the top La Liga teams at the start of the season, they were able to stay at the top of the standings for a long time, even though in the end they lost concentration in several matches, especially when they lost to Real Madrid.
Indeed they have been a good team this season and at a point I had them in my selection. I have a style where I stand some teams in their best forms who have consistently been winning their matches. Girona was in the radar when they were very hot before they faded and returned to an average team. I like the term you used for them which is "lost concentration", that was exactly what happened because how they moved from being a team that we were hoping will win the league to third position is what I do not understand. Well they made their impact already and the whole world now know there is a team like that. Next season they have the opportunity of marketing their talents to the world in the champions league.
171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: April 05, 2024, 02:59:40 PM
^  After Manchester United's loss to Chelsea, I think Ten Hag and his boys are currently so mad rn and they'll prolly try to beat the league leader with the best of their abilities in their next match this weekend.  And this is no ordinary club their up against...  It's Liverpool!  This is a huuuge game and one that they want to win to try and spoil their rival's title run.  I think they'd rather see City or Arsenal win the league than Liverpool.

Another thing about this match is it's in Old Trafford.  That should give United a slightly better chance than what the lines suggest.  Draw no bet at 3.45 for United...  Could be good.
You post sound more like a motivation speech, like someone motivating a monkey to fight a sleeping lion Cheesy. Don't get your hopes too high, just be wishing that Manchester United is able to hold Liverpool to a draw which is what many pundits are routing for. I'm also in support of a draw because it will be a terrible blow on the Red devils that they will lose to two big teams consecutively. By the way, they are not fighting for anything anymore whereas Liverpool have everything at stake, so who should be begging for a draw, I guess it is Manchester United. So a draw is fair for them and some how manageable for Liverpool even though they will be better of collecting the 3 points.
172  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Youths doing anything to survive on street of Nigeria. on: April 05, 2024, 02:54:18 PM
Nigerian youths are actually hardworking and difficult to break. They can survive anywhere and that is one quality that is great. However, I have problems with Nigerians as a people and that is the fact that they are not proactive when it comes to demanding accountability from their leaders. Nigerians simply accept any and everything thrown at them by the politicians; they will keep adjusting to bad governance and bad policies without any single form of resistance. Things are getting worse in the country with the ruling class dishing out bad policies everyday yet nobody cares. Imagine a country battling inflation the government is increasing electricity bill by x3.4. This is wickedness that should be resisted yet nobody is talking as people are adjusting. Apart from this weakness against the government like a conquered people, Nigerians are great people.
173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: April 05, 2024, 01:24:56 PM
Gambling is not a game that you must compulsory play with a must to complete your daily gambling routines of your gambling budgets.
Part of my rules is that if my game did not set, I will stay out of gambling. This is the reason I play less bets during weeks of international breaks where most of the teams I play do not set as players have gone to play for their national teams. Without a workable plan, winning gambling will always be a problem. One must develop his plan and part of it should be knowing when to stay away from gambling.

Sometimes if you do not have the agility to gamble even after sitted for it, it is better of you log out or totally keep off else whatever negative outcome that would come out of it might earn you depressions beyond your controls.
Sometimes I avoid gambling due to being tired as a result of busy work schedule. I usually do not call this a loss because on many occasions I check the scores only to see that I would have lost if I had played that particular day. It really gives good feelings when you realize you would have lost if you hadn't stayed away from gambling.

We must always understand that if we do not meetup with our daily gambling routines does not mean we are missing our payments from the gambling sites hence we are not enrolled to the casino gambling that as long as we gambles we must get paid. So it was not something a "Do" and get paid or "Don't" and miss payment.
I do not have a daily law that mandates me to gamble daily. It is strictly when my game set just like I said before. I only have a limit I will not exceed daily irrespective of if my game set or not. This helps me not to stake beyond my limits.
174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 05, 2024, 04:17:43 AM
Manchester United were on top for 90 minutes of the main game, with Chelsea's 21-year-old star Cole Palmer scoring 2 goals in extra time and 1 goal early in the game. With a total of three goals in this match, Cole Palmer made a hat-trick, creating a huge space in the minds of the audience to beat the strongest team in the game today. I never thought Chelsea would win like this, while Manchester United are sixth in the points table. And the Chelsea side are 10th in the points table, after such a gap, the result was just 10 minutes into the match.
Chelsea really came to win while Machester United initially were more focused on the entertainment before they were woken up by those two early goals that put Chelsea ahead. I love the fight back from Manchester who not only equalized those goals even before half time and were leading by 2:3 even till the 90th minutes. Unfortunately,  the extra time just spoilt the match for them as Chelsa had to equalize and won the match. I would say that luck was on the side of Chelsea so Machester United just have to accept the outcome and look forward to their next match against Liverpool.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Now Official Currency in Lugano: Another Milestone for Cryptocurrency on: April 05, 2024, 04:02:38 AM
~~ This news is undoubtedly welcomed by crypto enthusiasts, with hopes for more nations to follow suit. For further insights, refer to this article by Cointelegraph:
 https://cointelegraph.com/news/cryptos-role-daily-payments-beyond-lugano
By all standard, this is good news for Bitcoin. For the government of Lugano to accept taxes in Bitcoin got to show that they consider Bitcoin as legitimate and a worthy medium of exchange. This is expected though following the successes recorded by El Salvador and the inflow of institutional investment following the ETF approval.

I never knew that Bitcoin has made it this far in terms of acceptability.  Reading the article, even many big techs are already embracing Bitcoin.
Quote
Take, for example, crypto credit cards jointly issued by global payment companies and trading platforms. Stores and services including Wikipedia, Microsoft, and Google already welcome payments in Bitcoin. The latter exclusively partnered with Coinbase to handle crypto payments for its cloud services. Similarly, Time Magazine teamed up with Crypto.com to streamline digital-asset payments for subscriptions.
From this developments, one can easily conclude that the only way for Bitcoin is up and we expect many businesses to start embracing it soon.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance NFT Marketplace is stopping support for Ordinals and Runes on April 18th on: April 04, 2024, 04:12:47 PM
There was even a news trending around January that the upcoming update on the Bitcoin core would correct The loophole that allowed the existence of ordinals.
I don't know I feel with this the value should rise since its supply would become limited.
But let's see how it plays out. In support of creativity in Bitcoin but not one with detriments to its security or performance.
It's already losing its hype, so as a company with profit in mind. They have to move to more profitable projects.
On the contrary,  it is a bad news for Ordinals that may possible see to the death of it and the likes. Remember that Ordinals leveraged on the popularity of Bitcoin and as soon as it is disconnected from Bitcoin, investors will lose confidence in it. The future is really looking bleak for those who invested into Ordinals. As a Bitcoin believer, I'm not worried instead I'm happy that the congestion will finally be put behind us while we wait for the next big news which is Bitcoin halving.
177  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can family members help a gambling addict? on: April 04, 2024, 01:07:11 PM
Many people are going through gambling addiction but they manage to keep it a secret from their families and loved ones. The only people that know about their gambling activities are their close friends. In the event that you are one of those close friend to a gambling addict, do you think it is right to tell their loved ones with the intention that they will be able to talk to him and help him overcome his addiction? Can the advice of loved ones even help? What is the most effective way of going about gambling addiction.
If I'm in this situation,  I will be careful because it is a delicate situation that can ruine both the family and the friendship.  As a first thing to do, I will find out if my friend actually see his gambling addiction as a problem that he is curious for a solution. If this is confirm that he is desperate for a solution, the next thing to do will be to find out how much he values and listens to his family members like parents, wife, children or just any family relative. After getting these information, I will quickly swing into action to help my friend, bearing in mind that both the family and the friendship must be protected.

The answers I also receive from the above will make me know if I will tell the family members or not. If he listens to any of the family members, then I will tell the person but if he is the stubborn type that will not listen to anyone, I will not use the family option. Rather I will recommend a proplfessioner for him.
178  Other / Off-topic / Re: No interest in gambling if there is no profit or fun to be accountable. on: April 03, 2024, 10:18:13 AM
To me if profits and funs are not featured in gambling then I don't find any Interest in it
The ultimate target for gamblers is to win and be able to make good use of the profits. When the profit is missing, gambling becomes a misery, unfortunately, a lot of people are in that stage which is the reason efforts are continously being made to encourage gamblers to take their risk management seriously. With proper risk management, losses will not be too painful

I think there is no much fun in gambling as the fun and joy is only activated by the money.
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Local/Traditional Gambling Spots on: April 03, 2024, 05:00:01 AM
Have you  ever had the thought of visiting a local gambling spot before, or have you been there before? I had to go there days ago. The place is characterized by old men gamblers and this board game which we call it in our place, is called draft in the local dialect here, some call it Okwe, and others call it different names in their various languages.
Draft is just like other indoor games such as scrabble,  Monopoly, Chess and others. They were primarily designed for entertainment and not for gamble but some people do side bets with it just like they do with anything that involves competition.

Draft should be one of my best games and part of what kept me busy during this Easter holidays.  It is popular in my neighbourhood too and just like you rightly stated, there are some aged people who are in the habits of using this game for side bets and due to their age, it now appear that draft is a gamble for old men. We are often chided to be toeing the wrong part for playing draft using some old men as example. I just laugh at them because those saying those things do not know how entertaining and mentally engaging draft is.

Liv - Sheffield
Manchester United - Liv
Liv - Crystal Palace
Fulham - Liv
Everton - Liv
West Ham - Liv
Liv - Tottenham
Aston Villa - Liv
Liv - Wolverhampton

I think this is quite doable, but Liverpool has 5 games away from home, including against Manchester United and Aston Villa. But still it is not a horror scenario here.
I don't think the home/away advantages/disadvantages still works for Liverpool and the likes. Now their eyes are on the trophy so it doesn't matter if they are at home or away, it is now all about the 3 points. This fixture shows that Liverpool actually have a chance, the only major resistances I see are Tottenham and Manchester United but but Liverpool upper hands against them.

It's really hard to tell whether one of these teams is more prone to making a mistake than the others. It is not impossible for Liverpool to win every single game. The same counts for City. Maybe the goal difference could become important, but my guess for now is that Liverpool and City will collect more points than Arsenal in the last 9 games. What are your thoughts here?
Indeed the league have become vert difficult to predict because the major contenders are in their best forms with about the same points. I know a clear winner will emerge but winning the league through goal difference is a possibility.
