I continue to increase my stake in DMD along with Hyper and XDE2. These are the only coins I currently hold. I have faith in DMD, its team and community and therefore offer to accept DMD in payment for my legal services and advice. George D. Greenberg, Esq. www.attorneybitcoin.com

This is a great coin. The best of the best. Thank you to all those who have worked on and refined this product and who continue to do so. You are laying high quality groundwork for this new frontier of peer to peer transactions, trading, savings, lower transaction costs in business and novel ideas that improve the world.

If you are concerned about insuring your BTC investments then you must convert your BTC to cash and place that cash  into an FDIC insured institution. I do not believe the BTC industry and the legalities surrounding it have matured to the point of insuring BTC savings. Perhaps in 10 years or so when and if it becomes a substantial widespread investment then insurance will be offered. Right now you assume the risk. It's early in the game. www.attorneybitcoin.com

Interesting. I'm sorry if you incurred any loss. As a BTC Attorney I have noticed a pattern in calls to my office complaining of BTC being withheld, accounts being frozen and the like. The individuals generally attempted to withdraw a large amount of BTC at once.

It is likely the company could not cover the withdrawal or that there was a fraud occurring toward the user. The lesson here for me is to never vest larger amounts in any given company/site and to never make sudden large withdrawals.

I have believed from the beginning that diversifying is key to long term viability of the BTC/Crypto investor.

167  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Could we invalidate all regulations? on: July 15, 2014, 05:03:50 AM
Regulation in many areas of public and private life are essential because we as humans are unable to succeed in agreeing what is best. Therefore we band together and decide as collectives what is best for most. Regulations on food, pollution, building standards, you name it. Common currencies need regulations as well and even though BTC is not determined to be a common fiat currency by our government that does not mean that it should not be regulated. Personal property is regulated, stocks, housing, firearms, exotic pets, etc.

I am proud to participate in my society and be a part of the collective and pay my fair share to support reasonable, just and needed regulations in our lives. To support schools, roads, military, government, and all of the things that go into a  healthy and functioning society.

Yes, BTC and alt coins will eventually be more regulated. And? That is reasonable and necessary. It is not happening quickly, there is no panic, but we are not a utopian society, yet.
