161  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: September 23, 2013, 07:34:29 AM
FAO Ken and ALL BTC-TC Users
From BTC-TC:

Code:
Website Shutdown Announcement
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL BTC TRADING CORP WEBSITE PARTICIPANTS

As a result of recent changes in the virtual currency regulatory environment, the btct.co and litecoinglobal.com virtual stock market websites will be closing down.  The following is our current schedule:

Approximately a week ago, both sites were closed to any new users and new asset creation was disabled.

Effective immediately, in conjunction with this release, trading will be halted, all order books cleared, and trading re-enabled.

October 7, 2013, all forms of secondary market trading will be halted on both sites.

Approximately October 31, 2013, both sites will be taken offline.  It is strongly suggested that participants take the following steps to protect all of their virtual assets:

All participants should take steps to transfer all of your BTC and LTC (and any other data you wish to keep, such as CSV trade histories) held on the sites to your personal computer or another trusted site.

All participants should make sure that their public BTC or LTC address is properly set in the Account page on the Settings tab whereby it can be shared with all issuers.

All “issuers” should have the contact information concerning their “investors”, and we ask that all “issuers” communicate with their “investors” as soon as possible as to how they will ensure that all are treated appropriately.
We regret this development. However, we want to do everything we can to minimize problems arising from this transition.  It is our goal to keep this shutdown orderly and calm.

Thank you for your participation, creativity, loyalty and sense of community over the past year.  Additional communications will follow as we work out the details.

Ethan Burnside
BTC Trading Corp.

Out of curiosity why are new sell orders blocked on BTC-TC?

Edit: Please ignore my comment, it was a silly oversight on my part...

164  Economy / Securities / Re: [Tools] Google Spreadsheets auto-updating portfolio JSON functions. on: September 12, 2013, 08:30:42 AM
I've just published a new version with BitFunder functions to retrieve balance, portfolio data and ticker data.

Thank you, I appreciate the work you've put in.
Is it the same one as per your OP?

I think you have done a fantastic job, especially as it is in your spare time.

To be honest with some tweaking I'd be very happy for this to be the outward face of VMC.
166  Economy / Auctions / Re: Selling - 5 x Direct ASICMINER Shares (Fixed Price) 2.65BTC each or 5 for 13BTC on: September 06, 2013, 05:52:14 AM
I'm interested, I pm'd you! Thanks.

Thank you, I've just replied.

If not already in progress, can I please suggest that a full ActiveMining / VMC PR Piece be done and released to the various online Bitcoin news sites.

Personally I have had enough of reading about other companies announcing lesser machines and hardware technologies on these sites, this would bring in a lot of new business and pre-orders for VMC.

I have used the below user to formulate a PR and Marketing release for my IRL Business, and it has already done wonders for us:

I don't like to voice negative points on this thread, however I will be sincerely disappointed if this momentum isn't maintained with a simple task such as this. Not for the share prices which are a by product but for what we are trying to build with ActiveMining.
168  Economy / Auctions / Re: Selling - 5 x Direct ASICMINER Shares (Fixed Price) 2.65BTC each or 5 for 13BTC on: September 05, 2013, 09:44:08 AM
I am open to sensible offers on this "auction"

170  Economy / Auctions / Re: 262 G.ASICMINER-PT shares on: September 03, 2013, 04:02:55 PM
Due to Ukyo inability to manage G.ASICMINER-PT assets ant several weeks withdraw delay I want to sell my account on BitFunder with 262 shares for btct.co 24h average price:
262 @ 2.523 = 661.026 BTC buy it now.

Or may be anyone can help me - I'll send him shares on BitFunder and he will send me regular ASICMINER shares or shares on btct.co?

Starting bid 2.5 BTC with 0.15 increment for all 262 shares.

Auction ends in 72 hours or if I will find any other way to withdraw shares before that moment.

Due to the low price I thought maybe this was for the TAT.ASICMINER and the G.ASICMINER-PT was also a mistake due to the bolded wording above.
171  Economy / Auctions / Re: Selling - 5 x Direct ASICMINER Shares (Fixed Price) 2.65BTC each or 5 for 13BTC on: September 03, 2013, 02:10:18 PM
Most definitely Smiley
Yes it is
172  Economy / Auctions / Re: 262 G.ASICMINER-PT shares on: September 03, 2013, 01:11:30 PM
Sorry there is some confusion, I wasn't intentionally joking I honestly thought it was an auction for all 262 shares as a job lot with an exceptionally low starting bid of 2.5BTC so I thought I's start the ball rolling for you and have it added to my thread list.

Sorry about this and please and ignore my "bid".

173  Economy / Auctions / Re: 262 G.ASICMINER-PT shares on: September 03, 2013, 09:41:10 AM
2.5BTC for all 262 shares
174  Economy / Auctions / Selling - 5 x Direct ASICMINER Shares (Fixed Price) 2.65BTC each or 5 for 13BTC on: September 03, 2013, 09:32:58 AM
Below are two links to my previous unsuccessful auctions due to the price coming down to this point.

The time has now come for me to sell the remaining 5 ASICMINER Shares, which I own.
I imagine the price will rise of these once again now, however I am wishing to consolidate all my stocks into one, hence the sale.

They are going through a fixed priced auction of 2.65BTC each.
If all 5 are sold in one sale I will consider doing this for 13BTC as a whole.

You may use escrow if you wish, however this is the buyers responsibility.

Don't worry about dividends, if I receive payment before dividends and Friedcat has not transferred the shares to your address yet (possible), I will send the dividends for the shares you purchase.

I won't ask Friedcat to confirm my ownership, I will however sign a message from my Dividend receiving address.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Good luck

The below is taken from my previous unsuccessful auction, if required I can sign a new message.

I look forward to it being up again and also seeing a "pro" version.

It appears these investors are in it for the long haul, with a lot more to lose (black and white financially speaking and not relative to individuals situations).

With all this blatant scaremongering, manipulation and trolling going on they have seen through it and will not allow these people to try and change their positive perception of ActiveMining.

There are a lot of people in this thread attempting to play with peoples emotions and cause this stock to dump whilst attempting to pump their own interests.

I hope this shows that it blatantly isn't working where the bigger numbers are involved.

179  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] ASICMiner USB Block Erupters and Blades #5 on: August 29, 2013, 02:53:28 PM
Canary's thread says the new Blade is USB controlled.  And 4BTC.

Still keen for one of these if they're indeed that price.  Maybe two.

 Shocked no way!!!

If it is USB I will be in Smiley
180  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 29, 2013, 10:30:38 AM
I liquidated 99% of my other stocks to go all in to ActiveMining. (The only reason it's not 100%is because I couldn't sell my remaining AsicMining direct shares - In fact if anybody wishes to swap, to show prove my below statements? Let me know).

Not to go into details, however; if I sold now I would be very happy with the Bitcoins received.
This obviously puts me in the pro-ActiveMining category.

The reason I am not selling now is that I have a lot of faith in Ken, his team and our newly appointed Advisory / Shareholder Board Members.

Just out of curiosity, why? I never really paid much attention to this forum when I was GPU mining, so I don't really know the history.

But with all the competition from companies with far more experience with Integrated Circuits within the company or work very closely with one. (KnC, HashFast, Cointerra, Labcoin, etc) why do you think ActiveMining is going to be able to keep up with network growth and make a profit?

Those companies can share all kinds of details about their chips because they designed them.  Presumably some NDAs are involved but they can talk as much as they want about their own work.

From my perspective you're much better off being able to design your own chips because you can tweak the designs to get better performance, and of course you can save a ton of money by doing part of the design in house.

So, why is it you think ActiveMining is so much more likely to succeed then all the other companies out there? What do they have that the other's don't?

This is a good question, sorry to drag it up.

From speaking to Ken directly (PM, IRC & Email) on numerous occasions I got the impression that this is somebody I would be willing to back in a high risk scenario, which this is.
When the prospect of eASIC came into the picture, this was a selling point for me which helped gain the final confidence needed to buy "all-in".
