161  Economy / Speculation / Re: We will break $200 again on: September 26, 2015, 01:28:30 AM
It will happen in October. We will see 195$ at least for one day.

Looking at the volatility of Bitcoin, betting that it will drop to below $200 by October is not a bad bet.
Trying to pick a specific month and saying that we will see $195 for at least one day is a tough call to make.
162  Economy / Speculation / Re: The most true, but also the cruel price prediction on: September 26, 2015, 01:25:54 AM
Bitcoin will have failed if we have to wait until 2021 to see $500....I see $500 happening within the next couple of years.

I dunno a slow steady rise to $500 over several years could really give BTC a lot of good views.

ALTHOUGH.. just like every other thing of wealth.. once the market proves BTC is here to stay and it is steadly rising.. the media will go nuts and noobs will pour in again.

2019

BITCOIN has offered a 10% return year over year since 2015!! It's a solid investment... we'll see a boom.

A lot of people are still holding on to bitcoin, waiting for that big pump.
If it is going to be just stable growth, these people will exit, pulling bitcoin down.
163  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 87 dead after crane collapses at world’s holiest mosque in Mecca on: September 25, 2015, 01:32:28 AM
Yet another incident? And this time the death toll is way higher.
It calls into doubt the competence of those managing this pilgrimage.
164  Economy / Economics / Re: Fed Implies Possible Negative Interest Rates on: September 25, 2015, 01:30:44 AM
Negative interest rates are very good symptoms for bitcoin growth. People will not save their money in bank deposits and in saving accounts. Instead they will look for alternate investment opportunities like gold, blond or obviously bitcoin. Bitcoin may attract many investors because of higher returns.

Or they might just stuff it under their pillow. Smiley
The decision on where to invest depends on the risk appetite of a person.
165  Economy / Economics / Re: Silk road impact on BTC price ? on: September 25, 2015, 01:28:32 AM
Bitcoin made it to the mainstream media, partly because of its association with Silk Road.
And the media attention definitely helped the price.  Smiley

167  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bulltards are about to face their punishment: $215 by Monday on: September 20, 2015, 05:43:19 AM
The bull trap I predicted with perfect precision just topped out at 235 just like I predicted. It's about to dump. I hope you sold like I advised. Look for a weekend low of below 215. Set buys at 215. If it goes lower than that go all in. 215 is the buy signal for this weekend. It should hit 215 by Monday. My forecasts have all been right. I am the self proclaimed greatest analyst in the bitcoin world.

It is Sunday and we are no where close to $215.
Time for OP to open his next prediction thread.  Smiley
168  Economy / Economics / Re: Low BTC price is good for Bitcoins at the moment. on: September 20, 2015, 05:40:10 AM
If Bitcoin's success depends on the ability for people to buy full coins then it's fucked.

I think one of its biggest mistakes was not to start off with a larger number of units. Yes, I know it's divisible but that's not how the average mind works and unless average minds are aroused it's not going far.

And how does it work actually? As long as there are no technical issues with divisibility (and there are none so far) and we don't throw ourselves into extremes, the price tag of $200-250 per coin seems to be pretty attractive for investment purposes...

Then again, if you could buy a cup of tea with dust, I don't see how this could adversely affect Bitcoin adoption

Yes, as soon as people start thinking in terms of satoshis, this mental block will go.
You have a lot of alts which are valued less than 1 bitcoin, the average minds haven't taken to them in a big way.
169  Other / Archival / Re: Ban fucking auto loans from printed money!!! on: September 20, 2015, 05:37:40 AM
This would have not just the banks, but the auto companies up in arms as well.

But would it really work?
In the end, money is fungible.
Let us say, I pay $10K to get my house remodelled from my pocket and take a $10K auto loan.
If I am not allowed to take an auto loan, I would pay $10k from my pocket to buy the car and will take a loan of $10K to get my house remodelled.

Well i`m sure if you ask for a specific loan, you are only allowed to spend it for that particular thing. You cannot get a house loan out, and spend it in the casino.

Sure, what I am saying is if you have the money to do one of 2 things - buy a house or a casino, you can spend your own money to buy the casino and take a loan to buy a house. It is no different from using your own money to buy a house and taking a loan to buy a casino.
170  Economy / Economics / Re: FED is not going to raise the rate on: September 19, 2015, 06:17:01 AM
About the banks..Here in Canada our Government slashed interest rates and the banks refused to pass the follow cut on to the customers because they know whats best for business. Pretty much giving our Government a big "FU" and pocketing the difference. Banks making more profit each quarter, its disgusting!

The standard argument is that they are stuck with relatively higher cost deposits and it will take time before their cost of funding comes down.
They put such a spin on it - it takes time for policy action to be transmitted through the system
171  Economy / Speculation / Re: If there was no Mtgox ... ? on: September 19, 2015, 06:13:01 AM
MTgox was crucial in the early stages of bitcoin. It was one of the only ways to buy bitcoins at low risk. Don't forget that. Ofcourse they fucked up, but they were very very crucial.

If not for MtGox, there would have been other exchanges which would have developed.
MtGox had the first mover advantage and made full use of it (before they screwed up).
172  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will bitcoin reach 500 USD again ? on: September 19, 2015, 06:10:28 AM
I don't really expect it to occur for another couple years

Even with the halving...
im sure halving will help bitcoin price but not much help at least i predict price can up in range $300-$350

It doesn't have to result in a great increase in price.
If sentiment lifts up, the momentum can carry the price further.

174  Economy / Economics / Re: FED is not going to raise the rate on: September 19, 2015, 05:50:26 AM
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/federal-reserve-opts-to-keep-interest-rates-near-zero-2015-09-17

After financial crisis, FED bought so many houses with printed money to support the house price. Now large banks have both house and money (FED is owned by the large banks), but why they are not spending and not creating any inflation? Because this game is so addictive and they desperately need to print more and buy more lands  Cheesy

A common conception is that banks are richest, but if you count the price of land in large cities and add them up, you will see the total value of lands (if developed into houses) are magnitudes larger than the total money supply of the whole world. This indicated that landlords are still the richest, banks are trying their best to take those lands from landlords by printing money

As usual, the equity markets react positively.
Every time there is talk about the fed raising rates, all the paid economists come out talking about how it will be a big blunder. The reason given this time for not raising rates was global uncertainty.  Roll Eyes
175  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks Suck on: September 14, 2015, 02:53:06 PM
Permit me to issue and control the money of a nation, and I care not who makes its laws! - This is exactly what Banks do now.
The saddest part of the story is that banks leech of poor and middle class people the most. I am not even able to have debit card because of the fees.

Banks don't issue money (Treasury / Central banks do). They do control the money of a nation.
Apart from the fees, banks deny credit to the poor/middle class even when they deserve it. They also have no hesitation in asking for bailouts from public money.
176  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: September 14, 2015, 02:49:31 PM
My Dad earns well enough for a living of our small family. Even if I leave my job I won;t be having problems. So I can, without any hesitations leave my job and work full time on Bitcoins, maybe start trading on LocalBitcoins, or code full time for Bitcoins.

you can try create your own altcoin and grow it,that very good if you want to full time at bitcoin job,
but you must hire some people to cooding if you can't do it

Why would developing an altcoin be better than working on Bitcoin?
As the poster said, he can code full time for Bitcoin. So the statement "hire people to code if you can't do it" is redundant.
177  Economy / Economics / Re: Our financial problems are derived from money? on: September 13, 2015, 04:07:10 AM
Bullshit, technology will soon destroy all jobs and even only one human alone in the entire world will be unemployed.

Thats why politics, corporations and bakns are just stealing everything they can before that happen, they know it will happen.

Have you heard of the term "Luddite"?
You should look it up.  Smiley
178  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will Free fall this weekend, going to 225 on: September 13, 2015, 04:00:57 AM
It has begun. The next major leg down should hit 225 as I predicted. If you took my good advice you potentially just made several thousand dollars this weekend. If not, maybe next time.

Hmm... we are at $235.
Quite some distance away from $225.
179  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 87 dead after crane collapses at world’s holiest mosque in Mecca on: September 13, 2015, 03:59:01 AM
That said, I don't know why they allowed the worshipers inside the mosque, when the construction activity was ongoing.

Expansion activities are going on. They didn't foresee any damage in the actual mosque area.
They should have taken more precautions.
180  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Muhammed in the Blockchain on: September 12, 2015, 09:23:45 AM
This is interesting, why didn't you tell us you were doing this back in January when you did it?

One thing that has left me questioning how the Islam religion operates globally is why no one from Islam (especially some well known Amam or lslamic leader) has never stood up to speak out agains terrorism conducted in the name of the religion. Plenty people say "Islam isn't violent" but no one takes a public stance or stands united with the rest of the world to fight these people who pervert this religion.

You may be wrong over there. There are respected muslims who condemn terrorism.
