896 w8 g2 is the best you can get for 470/480/570/580

and yes, he has some nice straps.
and yes, you can use blockchain drivers for xmr, i get 925mhs on 1130/2000 with sapphire nitro+ 570 4gb

Either you are running it differently, either something is wrong.

896 w8 g2 makes the cards barely hashing, like 50h/s or 400h/s.

896 w8 makes them to hash with 100h/s less than normal.

Anyway, for some reason, the blockchain driver on my 470 and 480 give ~20h/s LESS and it increases the power consumption.

Go figure.

Well, its different algos, it uses similiar timings, but not the same. You need tight and proper timings for XMR, not all over the place for the secondary.

Also, is that 1000h/s just an example?
Dont know if something wrong here. before i use windows 7 and with that windows i can not use blockchain driver. At windows 7 with that timing i got around 890 h/s 70watt on GPUZ using claymore 10.2.
Since i really want to use blockchain driver, i change my windows to windows 10 but still got same h/s using claymore. And after that i check another miner software, and i got that result using zawawa gatelessgate with less watt.
I got the straps from ElioPV and then fixed by laik2, and after more refining with guide from laik2, i got the last straps that used here.

Okay, two things:

1. Do NOT use the Blockchain driver for XMR.

2. Use the following config : -ri 512 (or 504), -w 4, -g 2.
Report again whats your hashrate. You are using a lot lower than what is supposed to be.

Also, this gotta be some real crazy strap to run like that, or something is not right. I am doing 900h/s at 1305mhz Core/2000Mem and 867h/s at 1225core/2000mem, and its not the best one, but 1kh/s is insane. Also, is that strap shareable?

Heads up Ralph, this domain is expired as well probably. The IP host doesnt load.

I'm curious at what voltages GDDR5 chips REALLY work...Hynix datasheets
mention 1.35, 1.5 and 1.55V, yet I see 0.8-1.1 range everywhere (wattman, GPU-Z,
hwinfo...)

This is the memory controller you are seeing afaik.

DAG size issue should be resolved with latest drivers. At least i heard so.

Anyone who had successfully used Uber Mix 3.1 on an Asus Rx580 Dual OC 8gb?

I've tried this weeks ago, just copying the straps (stock clocks/voltage) and it's worse than what I have prior.

Well obviously. Those are not mining timings. Those are gaming performance timings.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Custom RAM Timings for GPU's with GDDR5 - DOWNLOAD LINKS - UPDATED on: June 14, 2017, 05:29:52 PM
what formula?

ACT=TRC-RASMACT+1
You can just compare stock straps and you will see that they are made like that.

Welp, gotta bump this one. Performance doesn't seem to work as i thought.

Guys, any ideas why when properly settings ACTRD,ACTWR,RASMACTRD,RASMACTWR and TRC, i get worse performance. They are following the formula, but i get less H/s in XMR compared to when they are not following the formula. Also it becomes too unstable.

Well, you would want first to know how exactly the algo is loading the memory - is it Read or Write?

From there, you know which timings you need to lower.

Also, timings have lots of formulas - 1 timing can depend on 2-3-4-5 more.

There is documentation - check JEDEC GDDR5 docs, DDR3 wikipedia, it can help with understanding a bit.

After that, its trial and error, until you hit good values.

Since its total PITA to look at 700+ pages, does 120h/s with RX460 2GB seems good?
sounds about right for stock. you could probably get a bit more unlocking to 1024sp and tightening timings.

Thats actually unlocked. Why isnt there a comparative table, like for XMR....

The XMR timings are not suitable for ZEC, i think its read based, not write...

Hmm, i dont see any thread here about hardware comparisons. Anyway, how do h/s and sol/s compare?
For example, my RX460 does 120h/s on Claymore. How is that on sol/s ?
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Custom RAM Timings for GPU's with GDDR5 - DOWNLOAD LINKS - UPDATED on: May 22, 2017, 05:26:48 PM
Doing over 500h/s on a RX460. Kek.

Before unlocking - 470h/s, after unlocking, 494h/s at 2000Mhz.

At 2200Mhz, getting 525H/s, maximum, 1V for IMC, getting some HW though.

Thats not the Decode, thats another tool, named Tool. I dont see it anywhere in this topic. Or maybe i missed it?

Guys,

OhGodATool is now available on Windows as well.

Frankly, i dont believe 39Mh/s is possible at all.

If i set the workunit size to 96 or 64 (something likethat), i get 50Mh/s on my 470. But how healthy the share is... no idea.

Always look at what miner reports, not pool.

you can ask 10x times, but i don't understand what do you ask.
I guess the others feel the same as me.

?? The question is not clear, or its the answer Smiley
